This small farm is 7 acres of the original 25 my great grandmother purchased for her family in 1934. Guests can enjoy the cabin as well as the barn, which has been converted to a rec area. Make our home and green space yours for a few days. Camp in comfort in our "little cabin in the woods." Accommodates up to six guests, with a queen-sized bed, a futon and two low single beds in the loft, accessible only by ladder. Kids 6 and older may sleep in the loft-- just like Laura and Mary-- and they can read a chapter of one of Laura Ingalls' "Little House" books before bed! Weekend Trip to DLR Mustang Ranch

Absolutely loved this place. My husband and I stayed the weekend to explore the area for our final trip for the year. The cabin was so cozy,we did have our air mattress with us just incase I was unable to sleep on the futon but was surprisingly comfortable. We had a great time at Shady Maple cabin! It was a beautiful place to unwind, de-stress, and be in an amazing setting! The cabin had everything you would need for a relaxing time. We love a good log cabin and this did not disappoint! It was clean, had snacks, jacuzzi tub inside, a hot tub outside, board games, was private enough and everything worked as it should. Shout out to the hosts for sharing this beautiful property with us! Will definitely go back!

A terrific stay. Feel like you are in the country, but close enough to civilization in case anything happens. The cabin is perfect. Host communicates quickly. The barn was a big hit with my two young girls. Cozy and quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved staying at the cabin. It was well furnished and had an amazing view. We had a great time interacting with the farm animals, specially the horses and the cats. The hosts were amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We are definitely going back for another stay. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a farm stay.

I was very excited for this stay, and it was even better than I expected. The land and the cabin were beautiful, Donna and Garry were lovely as were all the goats and the chickens! Wonderful people and a wonderful stay!!! The cabin has everything you need and was very comfortable, even with our big dogs.

I don't know where to begin. This has been an incredible experience from the moment I got here. Dale and Renee are 2 of the nicest people you could ever meet. Renee goes above and beyond to make you feel like family. I fell in love with Buddy, the donkey. All of the animals from the handsome Fred the turkey to Pumpkin the cat are soo soo sweet. The horses are beautiful. I sat on the porch of the cabin and watched them across the pond. I even got a visit from 2 horses asking for treats. It was amazing!!! I can NOT recommend this place enough. It is peaceful, quaint, and feels like home away from home. I will definitely be back! Thank you for everything!!!!

Had a wonderful stay! Really loved having the kitchen and a hot shower! The decor of the cabin was perfect and everything was so well thought out. Very close to things if needed, but felt miles away from life. Be cautious on the gravel, as it is very slippery. Definitely look forward to returning!

My husband and I were looking for a quiet couples getaway. We found the property and site to be beautiful. The cabin was cozy. The hosts were awesome! They thought of everything!! What stood out as unique is the access to the barn where we found an endless amount of activities. We fed the goats, hiked a beautiful trail and watched a spectacular sunset. We even made time to practice our canoeing skills on the small pond that was adjacent to our cabin. The bathroom in the back basement of the host house was clean and well stocked only about 75 feet away from our cabin. They kept this area well lit just in case you had to go in the middle of the night. What a fun experience for families with small children!!

I got to spend my holiday weekend at the cabin on Renee's beautiful land and ending up wishing I had booked a longer stay ...it was just the space I needed. Solo female traveler approved and amazing value for a cabin that includes so much to make your stay a comfortable one. Parking so close I had no trouble lugging my gear in. Cell phone reception was excellent (I have T-Mobile and never had an issue, though wifi is available if preferred). Super easy to find ...I Google Mapped it from the address provided and found it with absolutely no issues. It truly is a peaceful, healing space managed by the most kind, generous hosts. I spent so much time just sitting on the porch looking across the pond (which currently has a small fountain running beautiful water sounds 24/7) and taking in the view of these beautiful horses grazing back and forth, some even coming right up to the railing for treats stored just for them on the porch. It's surprisingly quiet considering it's a working farm. The hosts leave you at peace when you need your space, and there's not a lot of traffic on the small country road that runs past the place. I'm so glad I found this place and can't wait to come back and spend more time here.

We recently had our first-ever glamping experience at Canvas Cottages, and I can confidently say it set an impossibly high bar. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this wasn't just a place to stay—it was a truly special, detail-oriented experience. We stayed in the magnificent Bombay Belle, which was far more than just a tent; it was a huge, luxurious, and perfectly equipped sanctuary. The hosts have literally thought of every single thing you could possibly need, all while maintaining a commitment to sustainability. The entire space was spotlessly clean and felt incredibly comfortable. What truly made our stay so relaxing and memorable were the incredible amenities and activities. We spent our days by the fire pit, tried our hand at fishing, and had a blast with the classic nostalgic games. The unique activities like tomahawk throwing and archery added a fun, adventurous twist to the getaway. We also loved the secret library, which was such a cool touch! Beyond the beautiful accommodations and activities, the hosts were absolutely lovely people who made us feel so welcome. Their wonderful dog, Spirit, was an absolute joy and a perfect companion to the serene surroundings. This was more than just a trip—it was a chance to disconnect and fully immerse ourselves in a beautiful, peaceful environment. This was exactly the getaway my husband and I were looking for. Being surrounded by beautiful mustangs and the quiet of the ranch was just what we needed! Renee and Dale were so inviting and very helpful. Both my husband and I learned a ton about Mustangs both at the Ranch and in the wild. We loved Ranger greeting us every morning and multiple times a day. I especially loved the time I was able to spend with Bella the partially blind paint. She was absolutely the sweetest. Looking forward to making plans to come back in the fall!
