Weekend Trip to Country Outpost RV Site

My wife and I stayed at the outpost this weekend. It was an easy drive up state routes and county roads. We arrived at the location and immediately knew how to park. We used the two lane, untraveled road in front of the outpost to easily back our 25 foot RV into place. There was room to spare with the RV and my 19 ft F150 still hooked up. You could get a 45footer on the gravel lot. It was very quiet. We enjoyed our stayed and even did a little fishing. We caught 2 MASSIVE bluegills and a few small bass right from our chairs. There is a 30 amp service, but no water or sewer ( we dumped at Camper's Inn in TippCity/Troy, Ohio). We would definitely visit again. We met the owner - He was very cordial and you can tell he loves his property! A++

Vaughn's got a great space. After camping with a group the last couple of trips, I was looking to camp solo and this was a good creekside spot that fit that mood. While I was a lone camper, this spot works for a small group as well, with the benefit of a nice outhouse. Which the sound of the creek will have you visit a few times. Overall, a fantastic spot where you can get a nice mix of farm and nature, and to take a break from the world beyond the creek.

Its a great spot. The host was very friendly but not intrusive. He welcomed us and gave us some cookies shortly after we had gotten all set up. It's secluded and the actual campsite is tucked away in the woods by a creek. There was a very friendly turkey who came to visit us multiple times. We also got to see the cows up close. There was also a rooster who would wake us up every morning, but he was far enough away to not be too loud. Lots of ducks, cranes, and bats at night. It rained a lot while we were there which we found quite peaceful. Perfect getaway for us, completely recommend this site.

best place i’ve stayed in hipcamp even though there weren’t showers. they have a bunch of animals like peacocks and cows! the host also baked us cookies. 10/10 total chillers

This was our second time at Land of Milk and Honey, the experience was as great as the first time. We love how secluded this place feels so when we need to get out of the city, it is the perfect spot. Bathroom is one of best I've seen at the dozen or so Hip camps I have stayed at. There is also a very impressive outdoor cooking setup so if you don't have your own this is a big win for you. Hosts are very helpful and accommodating, we were even greeted with some AWESOME homemade cookies and treats for the dogs. My dog Tippy buried hers near the wood pile so we're all very excited to go back soon.

It was off season so not much to tell. Hosts were very nice, they gave me a break on price being offseason. They also let me extend my stay on short notice.

Allen’s beautiful land was nestled between fields on all sides. He was very welcoming and let me know what to expect during my stay, i.e. paths, fire ring, parking, etc. It was very tranquil and quiet with little traffic on this country road in Ohio’s quintessential farmland.

Our very first night as life time mobile living. It was completely random and I'm not sure how our night would have ended without HipCamp or Joshua's home for us to stay in that night. Living city life all the time, and waking up in their backyard was actually quite beautiful and welcome. We needed to leave a little later, and much unlike city life...they were very ok with us leaving late. I only needed to see them to hook up some electric. It took a few minutes for them to notice we had pulled in, but again...this is their backyard they are letting us stay in for a very nominal fee. It was as advertised and worth anyone's boondocking or traveling needs

Rocky Run Creek is a tributary to Seven Mile Creek in Preble County, OH Small creek near residential area. Choice of wide open spaces, partial or full shade spots available. Short walking trail along the creek line is maintained. 'Rocky Cross' Geocach nearby. Please be aware that if we have had a lot of rain, the creek side spots may be too wet and difficult to get back up the hill with the wet grass. If this is the case, we do have the gravel barn driveway that can accommodate your stay. During peak busy season, the barn drive may have additional guests due to site, weather or general camping conditions. The barn drive offers a view of the creek area about 100 feet away and is about 175 feet from the patio common area. WiFi covering the entire camp and all cellular carriers work great here. 30 Amp electrical in many spots. White tank water fill is available in select locations. Plenty of room for tow vehicle at your camp site. Pet policy: Dogs / pets are certainly welcome subject to the following: No destructive behaviors. (Digging, chewing, etc) No aggressive behaviors. (Toward anyone at any time) Please consider that other guests may be present. As of 5/1/24, a new overflow RV spot has been added with 30A electrical. New for 2025 we have our own flock of chickens and will usually have fresh eggs available. The flock includes roosters, so you may get an early morning wake up call! Leashed pets are welcome.
