Our beautiful 1800’s cabin was moved to the property in the 1970’s by a former neighbor who owned the property at the time. The same neighbor also had a historic train depot moved to the property where she sold antiques out of for several years. It is not sure what the cabin was used for at that time but it certainly added charm to the antique store property. When we acquired the property years later, the cabin was in need of work. It sat for a few years until we decided to restore this lovely cabin back to it’s beautiful charm and character. Jim spent a couple years on the project working in his free time and added the porch using old wood in keeping with the natural look and feel of the cabin as well as some interior areas. Upon completion, we opened the cabin as a gift shop selling unique items including antiques, primitives and decor for a few years. We decided to transition the cabin into a place of retreat for traveling guests and still keep some of the goods we sold in the shop available for purchase. We hope that you find the cabin and property a place of peace and tranquility and will want to return. Whether passing through for a night or a few days stay, you’re always welcome in our neck of the woods. Learn more about this land: Make a stop back in time to our quiet woodland retreat with an updated 1800’s log cabin nestled on the property. At Cabin and Company, you will be parked beside this beautiful cabin and will be allowed access at your leisure for a place to sit and relax. (No overnight sleeping allowed inside) Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea (provided) while watching tv or on our covered porch outside. You may also select a movie or two from our large selection of DVDs or find a book to read among our stash of books. Play cards, engage in one of the other games provided, or just sit in the quiet of it all and rest your mind. There is a golf chipping area as well as basketball. We have WIFI at our residence on the adjacent property and some areas of the camp will pick it up better than others. There is a fire ring on site with an adjustable grate for cooking and plenty of seasoned firewood available.. We will have a few items available for purchase inside the cabin including local honey (when available) apple butter, coffee, hand crafted walking sticks and you won’t want to leave without some of these goodies. This semi secluded property is a gem and we hope you will enjoy this piece of history as much as we do. You may see wildlife such as whitetail deer and of course, there are plenty of birds and squirrels around. You won’t be disappointed in this cozy Midwest retreat and will want to make this one of your places while passing through our beautiful Ohio. Most of all, relax and enjoy.

Learn more about this land: This is a forested area including trails and a wooded wetland. Campfire sight is provided as well as a port a john toilet. It is a rustic site with a small cabin and areas to pitch tents. The area where the cabin sits is all pines. Secluded area yet close to town. Easy access from State Route 33. Walk in or drive in depending on your vehicle you drive. The cabin consist of a fold out bed, table and heater. Propane is provided as is a rustic portable ice chest inside the cabin. For those that desire to shoot small handguns we do have a pistol range on the property. In addition we have a small wooded dock area beside the wetlands to relax and enjoy. Our site was rated as Tree Farmer of the year (2021). Lots of wildlife and again very private oasis in the midst of a growing rural community. In addition GreyOaks has tent camping spots as well!

The location is about 800' into the woods on a narrow winding path. located just outside of Fort Wayne away from the hustle and bustle but close to activities and amenities!

Our 2nd stay was fantastic like our first! This time it was a bit chilly at night. A efficient space heater was supplied. It kept the tent toasty! We also noticed a update to the fire pit! It worked fabulously for our camp cooking needs as well as enjoyable warm campfire nights. The fall leaves were beautiful and still provided a private camp experience. Love the attention to detail provided by Tim (host). Thankful for great hosts willing to share their property for hipcamp customers!

What an amazing spot & amazing time. Robert & Maria do such an awesome time taking care of the spot, it really is an oasis in Bellefontaine, even the bathroom situation is spotless. I 100% recommend! I went solo this time, but I'll definitely be back with my kids! We absolutely loved our 1st glamping stay! All other glamping must live up to this! It will be a high bar. You can tell the host put their love for camping into every detail. Can't wait for our future planned stays! Privacy: Summer: Very private with large trees and green all around. Host: Tim was so responsive to all my messages before during and post stay. Tent: Clean, comfortable. Multiple outlets. I loved having the view of the sky in the tent. Slept very good! Bathroom: Clean, hot water, good water pressure. It's a working bathroom in the middle of a private camp! Outdoor site: All mulch easy to keep clean. Effective fire pit and cook surface. Plenty of dry wood for use. Loved the hammocks available to hang. Nicely lit for easy use. Multiple electric outlets. 2 pie makers, and grill basket. Must bring: Towels Sheets Pillows Blankets Cookware Bathroom supplies Dish soap Location : Private, not much to do close by. That's a positive to me. We did enjoy a 20 min drive to bike the rivergreen way and enjoy some fantastic BBQ at Soul Pig. Just book it you won't be disappointed!

Looked exactly like the pictures…the lights were on when we arrived as it was already dark and lit up. The directions were clear and the site was easy to find. Every detail was taken into careful consideration. Bug spray, hammocks, seating, nightstands, a/c (which we didn’t need!) it was super cute and cozy! Loved having a fully functional bathroom. We will definitely return if we are ever back in the area. Thank you! Oh, and we absolutely loved the Firefly Coffee Shop. We chose it to stick with the theme of the Hipcamp. Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for a relaxing and unique Hipcamp experience this is the place. The cabin is so cozy. The front porch is a perfect location to relax and read a book. They offer 30 and 50 amp hookups. The grounds were meticulously maintained. I will most certainly book again!

This is our third time staying at Jim and Sharon's place, and it won't be our last. There are so many quaint Ohio towns to check out within 15 to 30 minutes of the campsite. But the campsite is so perfect, you may not even want to leave for your entire visit. Stop reading reviews and book it! You won't regret it.

This cabin and the land was a perfect place to relax and explore. The trails through the forest to the cabin are very nice, and the cabin itself was clean and well stocked with supplies. The provided trash cans made things much easier regarding clean up/ pack out. The hosts thought of everything to make this an enjoyable stay, thanks again!
