We loved staying here for our first family camping trip!

1 night at Cozy mountain log cabin

Peaaceful, trees and sunlight, 10 different bird species singing in the morning 🐦‍⬛🤓; easy to find location definitely off the beaten path up some dirt roads. Cabin was clean on bed was very comfortable. There are trails on the land that are meant for ATVs, which I didn’t use, but I walked on them with my dog and the solitude was great William was very accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. New private hot tub. I didn’t get a chance to get in it to tired from traveling. The area is gorgeous. If you have not been just riding through the countryside hills was serene.

We loved camping here! We stayed in both the hickory hut and the bus and both were delightful. We came for hocking hills but also loved just hanging out on the land. Very good vibes, Kate and Austin were very kind, the trails at the property were really nice. 10/10

Weekend Trip to Woody Acres

My partner and I came to hocking hills for his birthday and stayed here. It was not too far at all to the park and was an amazing price for the site. The bus was sooo fun and cute. We loved hanging out and appreciated how accommodating it was with the fire pit/wood, all the kitchen equipment, bed was really comfy. It was a great trip, 10/10! We also stayed in the hickory hut and it was a very pleasant stay 😊 if we come back to hocking hills we will def be booking again! I think this was my favorite hip camp stay so far!

Weekend Trip to Woody Acres

The Bus stay at Woody's was great! It rained through the night and we were nice and dry. We had a short visit, but super relaxing. Pre-ordered fire starter and wood and it was covered n dry and just waiting to be lite, which was very convenient. Loved having water to wash hands/brush teeth in the bus. Option to use stove in the bus as well, even though we didn't need it this time. Comfortable bed and peaceful atmosphere. The bus is located far enough from other sites, to be private, but close enough to use the outhouse. Loved also having water and soap outside the outhouse to wash hands. Would definitely return to this property and spend multi days there instead of just a one night quick trip.

This was our first camping trip as a family, and we needed to find something more comfortable than a tent for the little ones first trip. Directions provided by the host made settling in a breeze. The hospitality surpassed expectations, and they even offered us coffee one morning! Everything from the camper to the privy was super clean. We spent one morning exploring the trails on the property, and then visited a nearby cave that was only about 15 minutes away. Very informative conversations about the area and recommendations of things to do from the host. We even got to observe the process of processing, and tanning animal hides! Austin also offers some very useful survival classes you can add on to your trip, and we look forward to learning more next time!

Craig’s Hipcamp was honestly perfect—super secluded, peaceful, and packed with adventure. It felt like having my own little slice of nature, totally off the grid. Whether I was just relaxing or out exploring, it was exactly what I needed. Plus, Craig is awesome—really kind and always happy to help. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with endless outdoor vibes, this is the place.

Clean facilities and a friendly host. Hot shower, full kitchen and great a porch! The band I'm in stayed the weekend and were able to play music all day and into the night. The host was accommodating and friendly.

I loved the cozy cabin feel! It had a fire pit and grill which was perfect for making food :) There's a wood stove/heater inside to keep you warm on cooler nights. Recommend wearing hiking boots as getting to the cabin is a little bit of a trek. 5/5 would visit again.

We camped in the bus for one night it was so nice we had everything we needed and they were nice enough to provide us with some tea. The trails were beautiful this is definitely a property I’d come back to i can’t wait to see what it’s like in summer I am definitely telling friends about this spot!!

I absolutely loved the Hickory Hut! The property is very secluded, and Austin and Kate made us feel right at home on the property. This is certainly a little hidden gem, and I am really looking forward to getting the opportunity to come stay again. Thank you both for having us!

This cabin is located directly on land you are allowed to ride your atvs. If you do not own, your own Atv and your you’re looking to add an adventure to your stay. We recommend renting one of our golf carts to explore the backcountry mountain roads with it is the best way to get out and sightsee and explore the area during your stay , we do offer these adventures separately to anyone looking to take a ride not just our guest. you could bring your own atv and pay a $30 daily riding fee , ride as much as you want.
