The Mirror lake property has been a family farm for over 185 years. There is a family cemetery that dates to 1832. Need a quiet, secluded getaway? Our off-grid cabin is on approximately 10 acres of private woods. As you turn off the main road into our cabin's driveway, you will begin to understand why this is our hidden gem. Enjoy the coziness of a wood stove in the winter or a crackling fire in seclusion in the summer- this little getaway cabin is sure to create fond memories. Maybe you will hear the horned owl at night or see an eagle while you kayak. Your adventure or a peaceful vacation awaits. The 450-square-foot cabin has a queen bed in the loft and two cots that can accommodate more guests. Guests must be able to climb a wooden log ladder. The kitchen has a two-burner stove and oven that can hold a 9x13 pan. Although we do not have running water, we do have a hand-washing sink and a sink for washing dishes. We also provide you with plenty of water for washing and drinking during your stay. As it is well water, you may want to take your own drinking water, if you prefer. We also have dishes, utensils, hot dog sticks, fry pie makers, pots and pans, a tripod grill for over the fire, and a small charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal). You will also want to bring a cooler to keep any food cold. Outside, we have a fire pit, wood to collect or purchase, and a hammock to fully enjoy your stay. Our bathroom is an outhouse and has been described as the “cleanest outhouse in Michigan.” Our latest addition is a seasonal rustic outdoor shower! We provide water that is heated by solar power (or you can heat some on the stove to hurry the process!) The shower is seasonal - only available from May to September. Within 1/4 mile is the St. Joe River which is a great place for kayaking. We also have kayaks and quads for rent. We also have some short trails on the property and a railroad bed adjacent to the cabin area. Our cabin is powered by a small and very quiet Honda generator. It is super easy to start. The cabin’s main source of heat is a wood stove with wood we provide. An air conditioner is provided for the summer. For more than two people will be an additional $10 per night per person. Pets are a $25 per pet additional fee. Pets are not to be on furniture and not to be taken into the loft for their protection.

Need a quiet, secluded getaway? Our off-grid cabin is on approximately 10 acres of private woods. As you turn off the main road into our cabin's driveway, you will begin to understand why this is our hidden gem. Enjoy the coziness of a wood stove in the winter or a crackling fire in seclusion in the summer- this little getaway cabin is sure to create fond memories. Maybe you will hear the horned owl at night or see an eagle while you kayak. Your adventure or a peaceful vacation awaits. The 450-square-foot cabin has a queen bed in the loft and two cots that can accommodate more guests. Guests must be able to climb a wooden log ladder. The kitchen has a two-burner stove and oven that can hold a 9x13 pan. Although we do not have running water, we do have a hand-washing sink and a sink for washing dishes. We also provide you with plenty of water for washing and drinking during your stay. As it is well water, you may want to take your own drinking water, if you prefer. We also have dishes, utensils, hot dog sticks, fry pie makers, pots and pans, a tripod grill for over the fire, and a small charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal). You will also want to bring a cooler to keep any food cold. Outside, we have a fire pit, wood to collect or purchase, and a hammock to fully enjoy your stay. Our bathroom is an outhouse and has been described as the “cleanest outhouse in Michigan.” Our latest addition is a seasonal rustic outdoor shower! We provide water that is heated by solar power (or you can heat some on the stove to hurry the process!) The shower is seasonal - only available from May to September. Within 1/4 mile is the St. Joe River which is a great place for kayaking. We also have kayaks and quads for rent. We also have some short trails on the property and a railroad bed adjacent to the cabin area. Our cabin is powered by a small and very quiet Honda generator. It is super easy to start. The cabin’s main source of heat is a wood stove with wood we provide. An air conditioner is provided for the summer. For more than two people will be an additional $10 per night per person. Pets are a $25 per pet additional fee. Pets are not to be on furniture and not to be taken into the loft for their protection.

Titus is a very caring host. He is very prompt to communicate and he made sure I was doing ok during my stay (I was hot tent camping in snow). His thoughtfulness and creativity was everywhere in the campground - instructions were found right at the amenity I didn’t have to ask anything. I came on my own this time but I’d love to come back with kids next time. They would love the swing, the ship, fishing and animals.

The bus is adorable, the Whitney provided information ahead of time and then was always responsive when I had questions. The clubhouse looks like a great place to spend time...though I wasn't there long at all - just a quick stop-over on a road trip. I wish I'd had more time to explore because the images online don't seem to do it justice. It was cold November night and I got a head's up from Whitney - and they provided a small propane heater. I knew I was taking a risk booking when I did, but I very much appreciated the thought. Still, I woke up to snow, which I absolutely hadn't expected! The location is definitely out of the way (a benefit), but somewhere I'd go out of my way to go back to for a longer stay.

Titus has created a great little get away! The grounds were well kept and sites are all far enough away from each other that there is a lot of privacy. He was a very helpful and welcoming host. Would definitely recommend staying here. Google maps will try to take you to the wrong house (the one just before) so just make sure you look for the actual address. It’s the driveway lined with trees on both sides.

This was the perfect place to spend an evening reflecting and setting intention! The whole land is gorgeous. The hosts were very friendly (but not overly so ;)). The bus is quaint and welcoming and tucked away for privacy. As a female, solo camper, I would highly recommend for anyone who wants the feel of solo camping, but with a little assurance of safety/ security and access to home-based accessories (i.e. indoor toilet and coffee in the am!) I'll definitely be back!

Centrally located to many interesting places. Titus very friendly and showed me where everything was. Showerhouse and outhouse(pump toilet) exceptionally clean and well stocked. Even had towels incase you forgot. Loved waking up in the morning with the sheep in the fields. It rained while I was there and Titus let me move to higher site with no issues. Hope to visit again in the future.
