Summer brings on the bullfrogs, butterflies, dragonflies and fireflies. Fall is a great time to pull grapevine to make wreaths & to build stick forts in the woods.
We cater to the tent camper so that we can hear frogs & owls instead of generators. But, there is an RV section up front for those with quiet generators with several feet of gravel under the grass to hold the weight of your camper.
We charge by the carload & there are different rates for driving back toward the woods for camping depending on the number of wheels & the weight of your vehicle (a factor on the wear & tear on the land). We believe in going outside to play, growing & eating fresh food, strengthening family bonds and promoting the awareness of our natural resources.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: 1) The speed limit is 5 mph as soon as you enter the property (kids & dogs are quick to dart in front of you). 2) As a state registered campground, it is mandatory that you check in at the house to fill out a Registration Form before heading to your campsite. 3) No glass allowed anywhere on the property (we don't want our feet or paws cut open and can do without flat tires). 4) Children under 18 must be attended to at all times for their safety (the frog pool is 10' deep, the pond is 8-10' deep depending on rains, and the creek can turn into a churning river).

The tipi comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests—two on the provided queen bed, with ample room for additional cots or air mattresses you bring. Cots are available to rent as an add-on. You’re also welcome to pitch additional tents or hang hammocks in the surrounding trees, allowing space for up to 10 guests total.

Dustin specializes in animatronics, steel sculptures, wood carvings, mixed media sculptures, and starting in 2025, will offer live art performances and experience packages for guests. Feel free to stop by the studio and say hello, our home is on the same 58-acre property. Although you cannot see our home from the Art Lodge or Tiny Bungalows, we're often nearby for assistance.

Seclusion! Though our home and farm are located on the property, they are not in sight or hearing of the cabin. There are no other cabins on the property, and no other houses or buildings are visible from the cabin. It is quite private. Views of the surrounding fields, woods, and hills are included in the photos. Deer, turkey, foxes, birds, butterflies, and other wildlife are plentiful.
Private hiking.
The cabin is approximately 220 square feet and sleeps two comfortably, though children are welcome. In addition to the full-sized bed, an adult-sized cot and toddler-sized mattress and extra bedding are available in the cabin. There is also room beside the cabin for a children's tent.
Water source for washing and bathing is a rainwater cistern. There is both hot and cold running water. Drinking water will be provided, or guests may bring bottled water.
There is no air conditioning. The eco-friendly, solar-powered, Amish-built cabin is naturally cool and comfortable. There are two fans.
There is a heater.
Composting toilet.
The cabin has a microwave, electric lights, ceiling fan, portable fan, and dorm-sized refrigerator. It is off-grid, solar powered with battery backup, so power is available after dark. Propane cookstove and oven.

We charge by the carload & there are different rates for driving back toward the woods for camping depending on the number of wheels & the weight of your vehicle (a factor on the wear & tear on the land). PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: 1) The speed limit is 5 mph as soon as you enter the property (kids & dogs are quick to dart in front of you). 2) As a state registered campground, it is mandatory that you check in at the house to fill out a Registration Form before heading to your campsite. 3) No glass allowed anywhere on the property (we don't want our feet or paws cut open and can do without flat tires). 4) Children under 18 must be attended to at all times for their safety (the frog pool is 10' deep, the pond is 8-10' deep depending on rains, and the creek can turn into a churning river).

There is no air conditioning. The eco-friendly, solar-powered, Amish-built cabin is naturally cool and comfortable. There are two fans.
There is a heater.
Composting toilet.
The cabin has a microwave, electric lights, ceiling fan, portable fan, and dorm-sized refrigerator. It is off-grid, solar powered with battery backup, so power is available after dark. Propane cookstove and oven.
Most people have cell service on the property, though it is spotty. There is no wifi at the cabin, and no television. Enjoy a break from technology and the peace and quiet of nature.
There is a French press in the kitchen for making your own coffee using the propane cook stove.
Outdoor scenic photos are taken either from the cabin porch or within view of the cabin.
We enjoy hosting others who appreciate the peace of this natural setting.

Weekend Trip to Cherokee Valley Bison Ranch Creekside Retreat
We booked the Bison Tipi Retreat for a last minute, late season trip to Nether’s Flint Quarry and I am so glad we did! The property is beautiful and unique to most stays one may find. We really enjoyed watching the bison eat by the light of the moon and hearing the creek that is nearby. The kitchen supplies were adequate for cooking our meals. The tipi was roomy. The camp toilet was clean and had no smell. We are already talking about a trip here next year! This was a great break from the hustle of everyday life.

1 night at Grins & Pickin's CampFarm
Had an amazing time at Christy's farm, she is so sweet & gracious. The barn was awesome, and the whole area was beautiful. I definitely recommend, and I'll absolutely be back!

This place is an absolute gem! Beautiful location and views, the site is immaculate, and the host is wonderful! Couldn’t have asked for a better stay - it was really comfortable and relaxing, and I would recommend this place to friends and family in a heartbeat. We will definitely be coming back. I can’t say enough about this place - my only gripe is that I didn’t learn about it much sooner.

What an amazing spot & amazing time. Robert & Maria do such an awesome time taking care of the spot, it really is an oasis in Bellefontaine, even the bathroom situation is spotless.
I 100% recommend! I went solo this time, but I'll definitely be back with my kids!
My only gripe is that Robert didn't invite to come hunting with him on the property. 😆

Absolutely perfect! They have everything you needed. The sausage was delcious cooked over the fire and the walnut grove was private and peaceful. I have already recommended it to a friend of mine. Dawes Arboretum is about 15 min away has 14 miles of walking trails.

Love this place. So quiet but close to many activities in the area.
The cabin is so adorable and the hosts are wonderful people.
So nice that they established this rescue for animals with their property.
Their farm fresh eggs they offer are so good.
Definitely will plan a trip or 2 back. More to explore.

My sisters and I really enjoyed our stay at Susan's glamping geo-dome. It was very charming and just as described. It was an easy hike from the parking to the campsite and we really appreciated the wagons to haul the supplies we brought. The coffee and eggs were a nice touch. The site was private and had beautiful views. We stayed two nights. I'd definitely return for another stay!

What a perfect weekend in the Bison Tipi. Carie greeted us when we arrived and everything was ready for us at the site. She left no stone unturned. We had everything we needed and then some. The tipi is huge and so very comfortable. Both sites are very private and away from each other so you feel like you’re out there by yourself. It was really neat to see the bison grazing. The campfire pit was perfect and comes with a grate for cooking. The bison strip steaks we purchased from the market there were delicious!! And there are a lot of things to do in the area. We ventured out to see some Indian mounds and have lunch near Buckeye Lake. I highly recommend this site. We’ll be back for sure. We had been waiting for this trip for a while and it was everything we hoped for. Thank you Carie!!!

Weekend Trip to Glamping at River Run
This little getaway was everything. The rustic, bohemian vibe was thoughtfully executed. It was warm, inviting, and so clean! The hosts are excellent communicators which was evident right way. They have taken care of every detail. Seriously, leave it all at home! Blankets, lanterns, kitchen/cooking items - stocked! We drove over 3 hours to camp in someone's backyard. Was it worth it? YES!
Not negatives, but some things to consider:
There is a train nearby that you hear all night which i find personally comforting. You will also hear a decent amount of traffic noise from the nearby road. Although you're tucked away, there are still people and other glampers on the neighboring property that you can hear and see. Also, the waterfront is super cute! Probably good for fishing and walking the property, but too mucky for taking a dip.
Oh! The nearby downtown area is also fabulous with lots of great shops, bars, and restaurants. This sweet little glamp spot has everything. 💕

From the late night s'mores to the early morning fresh farm eggs we enjoyed the ambiance of camping with modern comfort. The air conditioned dome was great for an uncharacteristically hot September night and we enjoyed a quiet night away from the kids under the stars.
