The primitive campground is in the corner of a small 40 acre farm owned by Matt Polcyn. He started the campground 13 years ago because of his love for nature and real camping. He enjoys traveling in many places in the States and the Caribbean islands and loves finding places off of the beaten path and not commercialized. This small farm is 7 acres of the original 25 my great grandmother purchased for her family in 1934. Guests can enjoy the cabin as well as the barn and surrounding property with animals and greenspace.
The Camp Cabin:
Camp in comfort in our "little cabin in the woods." Accommodates up to 6 guests, with a queen-sized bed, a futon and two low single beds in the loft, accessible only by ladder. Kids 6 and older may sleep in the loft-- just like Laura and Mary-- and they can read a chapter of one of Laura Ingalls' "Little House" books before bed!
The cabin contains a small refrigerator, microwave and gas fireplace (no, the pioneers didn’t have that!). Fresh eggs and other snacks are provided for breakfast. The restroom and shower are located in the walkout basement of the farmhouse, a 40 yard walk from the Cabin. The restroom has a private entrance and is used only by guests during their stay.
The Farm Property:
Pet and interact with goats and other farm animals. The goats and chickens love it when guests bring them tortilla chips, crackers or vegetable scraps. Enjoy fun activities on the farm and around the property.
Guests are welcome to use any of the common areas for fires or grilling. Quiet hours are from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.
The Barn:
The barn has a recreation area with basketball, foosball, air hockey, ping pong and swings. The climbing wall is off limits to guests. This facility is open May through October.
The barn is available for parties for an additional fee, depending on the size of the group. We have seating for up to 60 guests. Please note that the barn is not climate controlled (no air conditioning in summer, but the doors open and we have fans). The barn is closed November through April.

Located roughly 20 miles from Beaver Creek State Park, DLR Mustang Ranch is a 17-acre peaceful sanctuary for many wild and previously wild mustangs. The Ranch offers veteran and first responder mustang programs year-round. Please let us know if you are a veteran or first responder for a special rate.
Accommodations include a small one-room cabin nestled on a little pond a stone's throw from the main house and veteran program area. The cabin has electricity, a microwave, small refrigerator, tv, futon, heating and cooling; however, it does not have plumbing. Nearby is an outhouse with electricity and a water pump fed from well water. There is a firepit for cooking and picnic tables available. There is also a flat space for tent camping right beside the cabin area. The outhouse and firepit are shared between the cabin and tent campers. If you prefer a more secluded experience, please book both sites. There is space for an RV in the driveway next to the woods with electric hookup and access to the outhouse, water pump, and firepit.
While this is a working ranch with farm animals, our aim is to create a peaceful relaxing environment in order to unwind and enjoy the creation around us. Going in the pastures with horses while unaccompanied by the owners is prohibited; however, it can be arranged for you to meet and interact with the mustangs if interested. There are other farm animals including a sheep, a goat, pigs, donkeys, peacocks, turkeys, chickens, ducks and barn cats on the premises. If you want a quaint country escape complete with farm sounds, this is the spot for you!

The McKee Farmhouse was built in the 1800s and is rich in memories. It's a rustic old house, with wood trim, hardwood floors, and plenty of imperfections that make it unique. You can sit on the porch and drink your coffee with a view of the barn and pastures, or cozy up in one of the house's four bedrooms and sleep in. The house is fully air conditioned and heated, has all the amenities of home, but takes you back to a simpler time.
Our campsites are all set apart from one another in various locations on the 240 acre farm. Secluded and unique, each campsite has its own charm. We provide guests with a fire ring and a shovel, and some sites have a picnic table.
Hiking trails are marked throughout the land. Guests can hike with views of horses, cows, wildlife, corn fields, large boulders, and rustic barns. The dirt roads provide great places to drive ATVs and four-wheelers. An Amish farm borders McKee Farm. Guests should know there is minimal cell service, however, this can offer a great opportunity to unplug. Tullihas in the Trees provides a perfect remote and rustic getaway for anyone.

Camping began ten years ago. We offer six shelters and nine primitive tent sites. We are incredibly close to the various trails located across the Cuyahoga Valley.
THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK!
1.WE DO NOT ALLOW FIREWOOD to be brought onto Heritage Farms property due to the potential risk to our crops and according to State and Federal Regulations. Firewood bundles may be purchased when making your reservations or upon arrival at the farm.
2. No vehicles may be driven into the camping area at any time.
3. All vehicles must remain in the designated parking lots
4. Campers are responsible for carrying their gear to their campsites—we provide wheeled carts for your use.
5. Ohio Primitive Camping licensing does not allow wheeled camping on Heritage Farms property.
6. Due to Summit County Health regulations, we cannot provide water. Please bring your own drinking and washing water. Or you may purchase 1-gallon jugs of water when you reserve your site or upon arrival. Our restrooms are porta Johns.
7. Tent sites (labeled A-J) have space for up to 3 tents. Shelter sites (numbered 1-6) have room for up to 2 additional tents. All sites are limited to a maximum of 6 campers
8. Heritage Farms is a working Farm. Please be aware that tractors and other machinery are in use during daylight hours
9. Check-in time is from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. If you’re arriving after 7:00 p.m., please let us know. Checkout time is 10:00 a.m. Please use the dumpster for all trash. Gray water stations are available for the disposal of used water.
10. Only campers registered to HipCamp are permitted to overnight on Heritage Farms property. We do not allow parties and underage or excessive use of alcohol at any time.
11. DOG POLICY: We welcome dogs who have received prior permission from the farm owners. A dog registration form including proof of rabies vaccination must be filled out upon arrival. Unvaccinated dogs are not permitted on the property. All dogs MUST always be on a leash and in the physical control of their owner(s). No pets may be left unattended at any time.

Weekend Trip to DLR Mustang Ranch
Renee was a great host. We were getting in very late and she even went in and got the futon ready for us to just crash. The cabin is cute, clean and has everything you might need (no indoor plumbing, think glamping when packing). Sitting on the covered porch overlooking the pond and horse field was beautiful and so relaxing. Pumpkin, one of the farms cats, hung with us on the porch and watched over us all night. Highly recommend especially for animal lovers!

We had a great stay on the farm during an overnight trip to visit Cuyahoga National Park. The peaceful location was within minutes to the visitor center & local trailheads. Our kids loved the little lending shed which had books and games for borrowing. Portapotties were the cleanest we have ever experienced. The a-frame was a convenient option to store stuff in case of bad weather. We’d enjoy coming back on future trips.
Beware that specifically at campsite 6 there is no level ground, especially for a larger tent. It would have been difficult to find level space for a small tent as well. We appreciate the need to use the firewood on site but unfortunately the box we received was very wet wood which made lighting & maintaining a fire difficult- plan accordingly.

We had a wonderful stay at the United Cabin!! It is roomier than we expected, comfortable, clean, and well stocked. The hosts were awesome- responsive and helpful. PJ even went to the store to grab us coffee and sweeteners as we arrived because we realized we had not brought any. The gravel driveway they added was great. It rained and stormed a good bit while we were there and my mom was able to get her Honda Civic parked right in front of the cabin and drive back out no problem at all. The added internet worked well for us.. Peace of mind for my mom who has heart failure, and for myself being able to monitor my type 1 diabetic child all the way to the pond. Definitely a great place for family memories, and we will be back!!

Weekend Trip to McKee Farm - Treehouses and Camping
We stayed in the converted corn crib and it was amazing! It's such a beautiful property. We saw sheep and cows. The sunset view was amazing. The hosts are responsive and friendly. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to DLR Mustang Ranch
Such a beautiful cabin. Fred the turkey and Pumpkin the cat came on the porch to visit us Friday nite. The cabin is so pieceful but not quiet at night. At night the bull frogs are really loud lol. Renee told us about the mustangs. She told us bout the heards they came from and what there brands on neck ment. Plus she told us their names which I can only remember a few. We fed some of them carrots. Dale and Renee both told us about the program on how the mustangs help veterans and the training they do. It is really great program them have. They also had 3 donkeys. But they wouldn't come to us to pet them. The outhouse was really clean and has lights. We really loved it here and will be back again this year.

Beautiful view and a lot of thoughtful touches like a little guidebook of local areas and including kindling with the firewood bundle.
The site feels private, but because the area is fairly open, sound carries. This wasn’t an issue except for one of the other sites had a group loud of people who stayed up until 2 am (repeatedly waking us). So you may want to bring earplugs in case you get unlucky with the other campers.

Carol & George were AMAZING! The campsite was just as expected on a gorgeous piece of property. The porta potties were clean & well maintained. Check in was easy & the owners were on the property if we needed anything. My husband and I bought firewood from them and realized too late that we forgot our matches. Carol brought matches for us so that we could enjoy a fire! They went above and beyond. We would absolutely stay again!
