Our peaceful 20 acres has a good mix of woods, wild meadows and maintained cleared areas as well as a small pond, all of which can be explored via our nature trail. Enjoy the sounds of nature and an incredible night sky.
FIREWOOD and seasonal farm goods are available for purchase at a self-serve stand (several payment options available). There is also a wonderful sauna on the property that can be reserved (go to sauna to reserve a time).
Great hiking, kayaking, biking, birding, fishing, swimming, and disc-golfing opportunities just a few miles away at Paint Creek State Park and the Highland Nature Sanctuary. Amish country is also just 15 minutes away with a great bakery, markets and greenhouses. This area is home to an impressive network of ancient earthworks including the world famous Serpent Mound.
Our accommodations range from primitive tent-camping to "glamping" in one of our tiny off-grid cabins. The sites are spaced out for privacy and each site offers a private picnic table and fire pit. There are two shared privies/outhouses which have basic composting toilets (not flushing). A grassy parking area is provided near the road, however, ALL SITES ARE WALK-IN (with the exception of site #1).
***Please take note that this is private property and the host lives on site. If you are looking for a place to be loud and party into the night, this is not the place for you. If you are looking to spend some quality time in nature, welcome. There are rules.

GloryField Hospitality Farm is a 148 acre active farm and vacation destination. Enjoy your stay and the picturesque view of fields, cow pastures, and wetland pond. Spend your day fishing at the catch & release pond, hiking the 2 miles of mowed trails, you are 3 miles from the Ohio Erie Prairie Bike Trail head. Ask about helping with some of the farm chores. It was an absolutely beautiful little spot. Nestled in the woods, listening to the owls and coyotes at night over dinner. We are an off grid/ back pack camping couple but will definitely be going back to visit the sugar shack. The town is also very friendly and quaint. We had an amazing time just being out in nature and marking another camping trip in the books.

We stayed for 5 days in the sugar shack cabin and it was the coziest experience ever!! Aimee is such a great host and made sure we had every we needed. The wood stove keeps the cabin really warm even in the middle of a snowy night, we accidentally made it too warm one night and went on a night hike in the snow, the most beautiful experience ever. Oh and if you see a little orange cat, that’s Aimee’s cat Tangie, he likes to say hi to the campers!

The Sugar Shack is the perfect secluded primitive stay! Be prepared to take one of the wagons if you packed a lot of stuff. Aimee did a fantastic job utilizing her land for campers, It’s family friendly and there’s plenty to do. The wood burning stove was the perfect addition to our cold autumn evenings, it makes it so cozy while settling in for the night. When we first got there, Aimee had the stove packed for us already and a bundle of wood. I would recommend a trip here 10/10!!

What a perfect spot and perfect stay! It felt like a quiet and secret hideaway and yet everything that I needed was so easily accessible, including local hikes, attractions, and her farm stand. Such a cute and unique place! I originally got Hipcamp to find some places for tent camping but thought the cabin was too cute. We loved the whole set up and farm. It’s private and well cared for. We loved the veggie and produce stand by the firewood. We also had a lovely farm cat stay with us for the second evening which was adorable. We are not afraid of bugs and spend most weekends camping but there were definitely a surplus of stink bugs in the cabin which made me a bit meh, mostly they were present in the daytime so not terrible at night. Guessing just a seasonal thing but definitely something to consider if you’re weird with bugs. Otherwise, everything was perfect!!

This place was truly magical. I did not want to leave. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and spent the weekend snuggled in the woods at the Sugar Shack.
We enjoyed all of the trails connecting through the property, took advantage of the sauna, and took some homemade goodies home from the farm stand. I'd love to go back in the winter and enjoy the wood burning stove inside the shack. It wasn't quite warm enough for us to take advantage of it this trip.

We have never had a bad HipCamp experience, but Aimee’s farm far exceeded our expectations. Fruitdale Farms is an absolute gem of a retreat. It’s obvious that Aimee puts her heart and soul into this land. The Sugar Shack is such a charming place to unwind and reconnect with friends and nature. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay. We were celebrating her birthday and the accommodations were perfect. This campsite is secluded and quiet. We needed a canister of propane and Aimee came through for us using venmo. Quick and easy communication. I would suggest packing light for this campsite however, there are 2 steep hills to conquer if you use the provided wheel barrels it can be a bit strenuous. Also the solar lights inside the a-frame didn’t work and neither did the white bulb lights outside. We brought plenty of lighting so it wasn’t that big of a deal. The trails were fun to navigate during our stay, overall a beautiful property!

The Glamping Hilltop Hideaway is spectacular! Kimberly made sure everything was ready when I rolled up, and even offered to ride me up here on the Gator. The tent was perfect: great size, beds, on a raised solar lit deck, with outdoor furniture and a camping toilet to boot. If you are looking for a secluded getaway, and don't mind a walk, this is a great place.
