Heritage Farms, located in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, is a 5th-generation, family-owned Christmas tree farm founded in 1848.
Camping began ten years ago. We offer six shelters and nine primitive tent sites. We are incredibly close to the various trails located across the Cuyahoga Valley.
THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK!
1.WE DO NOT ALLOW FIREWOOD to be brought onto Heritage Farms property due to the potential risk to our crops and according to State and Federal Regulations. Firewood bundles may be purchased when making your reservations or upon arrival at the farm.
2. No vehicles may be driven into the camping area at any time.
3. All vehicles must remain in the designated parking lots
4. Campers are responsible for carrying their gear to their campsites—we provide wheeled carts for your use.
5. Ohio Primitive Camping licensing does not allow wheeled camping on Heritage Farms property.
6. Due to Summit County Health regulations, we cannot provide water. Please bring your own drinking and washing water. Or you may purchase 1-gallon jugs of water when you reserve your site or upon arrival. Our restrooms are porta Johns.
7. Tent sites (labeled A-J) have space for up to 3 tents. Shelter sites (numbered 1-6) have room for up to 2 additional tents. All sites are limited to a maximum of 6 campers
8. Heritage Farms is a working Farm. Please be aware that tractors and other machinery are in use during daylight hours
9. Check-in time is from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. If you’re arriving after 7:00 p.m., please let us know. Checkout time is 10:00 a.m. Please use the dumpster for all trash. Gray water stations are available for the disposal of used water.
10. Only campers registered to HipCamp are permitted to overnight on Heritage Farms property. We do not allow parties and underage or excessive use of alcohol at any time.
11. DOG POLICY: We welcome dogs who have received prior permission from the farm owners. A dog registration form including proof of rabies vaccination must be filled out upon arrival. Unvaccinated dogs are not permitted on the property. All dogs MUST always be on a leash and in the physical control of their owner(s). No pets may be left unattended at any time.

Turkey Hollow is nestled in the rolling hills of Holmes County Ohio. We are right on the edge of the largest Amish settlement in the nation. The primitive campground is in the corner of a small 40 acre farm owned by Matt Polcyn. He started the campground 13 years ago because of his love for nature and real camping. He enjoys traveling in many places in the States and the Caribbean islands and loves finding places off of the beaten path and not commercialized. Because of his interest and love for primitive camping he decided to open the campground in order to provide the same opportunity as a getaway primitive camping location that he tries to find when he travels.
We now just added a shower in the trees, warm water rinse off area. (this is available between Memorial Day and until it get too cold again in the fall)

Spend the night in our spacious 22-foot tipi, thoughtfully placed to immerse you in the sights and sounds of the ranch. Inside, you’ll find a comfortable queen platform bed provided for your convenience. Guests should bring their own sleeping bags, linens, pillows, and blankets.
The tipi comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests—two on the provided queen bed, with ample room for additional cots or air mattresses you bring. Cots are available to rent as an add-on. You’re also welcome to pitch additional tents or hang hammocks in the surrounding trees, allowing space for up to 10 guests total.
The Ranch Experience
Cherokee Valley Bison Ranch is a working ranch, home to plains bison, honeybees, chickens, and peafowl. We are proud to be a Certified Wildlife Habitat, Certified Firefly Habitat and Monarch Waystation.
Explore our scenic hiking trails that wind through rolling hills, wildflowers, and native grasses. Nature lovers will delight in the abundance of birds, butterflies, and wildlife throughout the property. After your hike, cool off in the clear, pristine creek bordering the ranch (water shoes recommended).

Woody is our peaceful hilltop home nestled amongst the scenic hills in southeast Ohio between Hocking Hills State Park and Zaleski State Forest. Welcome to Sawdust FarmCamp! Located in Geneva, Ohio. We have four different sites to choose from: one tent site, two glamping tent sites, and one cabin.

Need some additional relaxation? Book a Reiki Healing at the Jug House next to the pond for an extra fee. Reiki is a Japanese stress reduction and relaxation technique that promotes healing. Contact your host for availability before booking the extra.
We also have the option to book all our sites for a 15-person retreat, with special extras only available for that booking, including a pavilion teepee tent.
Portable toilets are available, pets are welcome, and campfires are permitted.
Naturalist Isabelle H. Klein wrote a collection of letters from her home of Sawdust (named form the sawdust left by the loggers of the early 60’s) for the Cleveland Museum of Natural History’s Explorer Magazine from the winter of 1969 to the summer of 1976.
They then were published as the book “Letters From Sawdust” by the Press of Case Western Reserve University for the Museum. It is a lyrical voyage through the seasons at the Sawdust Tract in Northeast Ohio. She details encounters with the wildlife of the area as well as the changing seasons and plant life. Reminiscent of Thoreau's writings about Walden.
In 1978 an additional house was moved onto the property from Sidley's gravel pit and joined with the existing Klein farmhouse. We decided to preserve almost 400 acres of the property with the help of the Western Reserve Land Conservatory for the Cleveland Museum Of Natural History, Natural Areas. Forest is home to the red-sided dace, and 10 rare species of birds, including cerulean warblers.
The original small family farm and surrounding woods we have retained are being restored and updated.
We are proud to call Sawdust home and would love to share it with you.

McKee Farm is rich in memories and rich in history. It has been in the family for over 150 years and we were told that it was one of stopping points for the underground railroad. The 240 acre farm boasts a hidden cave, wide open fields, breathtaking forest land, and historic and rustic barns.
Nestled at the edge of a wooded creek, Tullihas in the Trees treehouse boasts a beautiful sunset view with rolling hills. Tullihas combines comfort with the thrill of being immersed in nature. Built using recycled electric poles, Tullihas in the Trees has a deck perfect for hammocking, an interior dressed with windows so that guests can feel as if they are living amongst the trees, and two small lofts ideal for a restful night's sleep.
Oxley in the Woods is our newest treehouse cabin. Nestled in the woods with a view of the sunset, the lovely A Frame is filled with lovely woodwork, vintage parquet flooring, and private wooded views. The deck is huge! We've had guests set up a tent on the deck beside the treehouse for fun! Swings, and a slide make the Oxley a fun adventure. The double bed in the loft and the two stacked single beds are comfortable and cozy.
The McKee Farmhouse was built in the 1800s and is rich in memories. It's a rustic old house, with wood trim, hardwood floors, and plenty of imperfections that make it unique. You can sit on the porch and drink your coffee with a view of the barn and pastures, or cozy up in one of the house's four bedrooms and sleep in. The house is fully air conditioned and heated, has all the amenities of home, but takes you back to a simpler time.
Our campsites are all set apart from one another in various locations on the 240 acre farm. Secluded and unique, each campsite has its own charm. We provide guests with a fire ring and a shovel, and some sites have a picnic table.
Hiking trails are marked throughout the land. Guests can hike with views of horses, cows, wildlife, corn fields, large boulders, and rustic barns. The dirt roads provide great places to drive ATVs and four-wheelers. An Amish farm borders McKee Farm. Guests should know there is minimal cell service, however, this can offer a great opportunity to unplug. Tullihas in the Trees provides a perfect remote and rustic getaway for anyone.
In October and November, access to hiking is limited.

Deep in our property is our camping area. You'll have a wide open view of the stars, plus a large picnic area + fire ring all to yourself. There is a composting toilet right at the campsite, or you may use a (shared) standard half bath a short walk away. Most days you can park right at the campsite (unless we've had a lot of rain and the ground is soft). This means you can bring your pop-up camper, teardrop, or sprinter van and have a private camping experience. Add breakfast and let us do the cooking for you!
Blue Cabin:

Located just down the road from our farm, the Blue Cabin is a private, off-grid cabin on a heavily wooded lot. Enjoy lots of shade, and a space that often stays cool, even in the heat of summer. Amenities include a picnic table and fire ring (comes with one load of firewood), water via a Berkey filter, and a composting toilet.

Located in the rolling Appalachian hills of Southeast Ohio. This farm has been in our family since 1869 when our relatives settled here from Germany. Originally farmed for cattle and sheep with many orchards over the years our property is now mostly mature forest. Southeast Ohio, including our property is known for its hilly topography and microclimates. Hills range from 400 to 1,100 feet.
Nearly 500 acres of land with an additional 200+ acres of Wayne National Forest adjacent to our farm and close proximity to other Wayne areas for outdoor activities. We have nearly 10 miles of available trails for hiking. Many activities can be done at or centered around our property. Such as excellent and challenging road biking, mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking, fishing, kayaking and boating. We are two miles from the Little Muskingum River. A great river for kayak trips. The Wayne Kinderhook horse and hiking trail is roughly 5 miles from our location. Hike the Irish Run Natural Land bridge trail also a short drive to the trailhead from our property. Ride your motorcycle up Rt. 26 a great Ohio byway for scenic driving. This is also a great home base for dual sport or adventure bike motorcycle riders to camp while adventuring along gravel roads through Appalachia. If motorcycles aren't your method of entertainment and travel. Bring your horse and ride on several of our trails.
From steep ascents to long flat ridge lines, you will have lots of time to immerse yourself with nature while hiking. We're next to a section of the Wayne National Forest and a short drive to other similar Wayne activity sites. If you like to camp, but don't want the busy public park experience then you will enjoy the privacy of our camping location.
We are also only about a 20-minute drive to downtown Marietta. Where you can find restaurants, bars, and many other fun activities.

The Oasis is a 10 acre creek side campground located in Frankfort, Ohio, 15 minutes outside of Chillicothe.
Features of the property include:
-Tiny cabin, or "cabinette"
-6 rustic campsites (with more coming soon)
-The property is on the North Fork of Paint Creek with creek access and a large rock beach.
-We are at the 12.5 mile marker of the Tri-County Triangle bike trail that runs through the property from Chillicothe to Washington Court House.
Bring your fishing poles, bicycles, and kayaks and enjoy everything the property has to offer!

David made us feel welcome and taken care of. I appreciated the fire already being built since we arrived close to dark. It’s clear they have taken a lot of care to create a unique space. The creek is perfect - somehow there were no mosquitos. Would definitely stay here again. We happened to be the only ones staying on the land that night so it felt very private, but I think it would still be a nice experience with multiple guests staying at the other cabins due to the landscaping making you feel “tucked”.

I can't even begin to describe all the amazing things about Carie and her land, but just some highlights: watching the bison graze in the field, listening to the peacocks and tree frogs sing all night, watching the fireflies light up the campsite and surrounding woods, playing in the creek, seeing the baby peafowl and learning all about them, and so very much more. The campsite, privy, and tipi were sparkling clean. Yummy bison burgers that we were able to pick up very easily, even with conflicting schedules. I'm already trying to plan a return trip! Just book the site, I promise you won't regret it!

Incredible place to stay. The Bison and Peacocks were truly majestic. The TeePee was just beautiful. Everything for cooking was provided. I barely had to unpack anything. Carie was such a lovely person too. She kept communication open but gave us plenty of privacy. Carie clearly puts a lot of love and effort into her animals, land, and Hipcamp space. 10/10 would recommend and stay again!

Weekend Trip to McKee Farm - Treehouses and Camping
Cute little place tucked in the countryside. Is it easy to find if you follow the directions.
This was our gateway to the Appalachia, so we were only there for an evening. The deck was great to hang out. The cabin itself was clean and perfect and made for a perfect night of sleep.
The fireflies and sound of the sheep were nice company with a great sunset view.

We had a great experience at Hocking Hills Family Fun Center! The kids had an absolute blast and stayed entertained the entire time. We also stayed in one of the cabins for two nights while traveling home, and it was a fun and comfortable place to relax and recharge.
The bathrooms were clean, the showers had plenty of hot water, and the entire property was well maintained. What really stood out was the staff, they were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay.
If you’re traveling with family and looking for a place where the kids can have fun while the adults can relax, this is definitely worth a visit. We made some great memories and would gladly stop again!

The A frame was a nice area to store things out of the elements and I’m sure it’d make a nice place to sleep. We had plenty of room for our tents. The site gets full sun most of the day, but does have some nice morning shade so you can sleep in a bit during the summer. The provided carts are helpful for toting the gear back to the site as you cannot drive in. Would definitely stay again!
