There’s a 1/4-acre track that loops around the property and can be biked, walked, or ridden on our four-wheelers. Currently, we have our 27-ft camper set up near the road for lodging, with plenty of private and convenient parking, as well as a small walk-in campsite at the bottom of the property near our peaceful creek. The property is a big hill, so be prepared for a workout if you’re here to camp. We live on a quiet street, so please be respectful of our neighbors—they are older folks. We’re looking forward to having you! COMING SOON: An RT Dome Retreat (clear and open with curtains) featuring a bed and bathroom, pet ducks, fishing and hunting, and so much more in the future. Weekend Trip to Easy Bend River Farms

What a wonderful stay at Christine’s treehouse! She has truly thought of everything to make this the perfectly cozy and relaxing stay. It has everything you need. The place is beautifully decorated and I felt like I was in a cozy artist’s studio. Even though the nights during our stay were cold, we were very warm and comfortable inside the treehouse with the heaters doing a great job. The views of the river from the treehouse is gorgeous and being able to open both garage doors to let the fresh air in really merged the outside freshness with the indoor relaxation. Christine’s property is also super cool! She has miles of hiking trails available and has stand up paddle boards, kayaks, and canoes available to use! There were even doggie life jackets! The treehouse is also only 45 minutes from Winston-Salem and the perfect weekend getaway. This is a stay we’d absolutely love to do again! (Also, make sure to follow the directions and NOT plug the treehouse address into Google Maps because that may lead you somewhere quite different).

Second Stay at the little vintage camper. Just as peaceful, quiet, and private and so close the Park. We waked to birdsong and chickens, which we enjoy. We used the firepit in the quiet of night with the stars for company. Bridgette is a great host and makes our stay easy and comfortable. An issue or two were addressed promptly and kindly.

The vintage camper was located in a quiet, peaceful location. It has the quaintness expected with a camper of this period. We enjoyed the privacy and the open space surrounding it. The soft chicken and rooster noise was welcome. The owner was quick to respond to any issues and quite kind as well as thoughtful. We were practically within Hanging Rock State Park so this camper stay made it easy for us to explore but still have a comfortable place to return.

I stayed at The Love Shack this weekend and had a wonderful experience. Wendy was a wonderful host—thoughtful, welcoming, and clearly dedicated to creating a beautiful space for her guests. She even cleared the leaves off the trail before I arrived, which made for such a lovely walk through the woods. I spotted a deer along the way which was nice. The A-frame shelter was cozy and warm. I enjoyed the most relaxing nap in the hammock. I highly recommend!
