The purpose of the Spruill Farm is to further environmental research, promote ecological education and sustainable practices, and provide access for the public to the ever-diminishing shoreline experience. Please enjoy the incredible sunsets and woodland views, while respecting the serenity of this unique gem on the inner-banks. Wildlife on the property include Red Fox, River Otter, and 95 species of birds, including Bald Eagles (2 nests on the farm), nesting Osprey, Wood Ducks. The space The Angler’s Retreat is adjacent to Captain Brown’s Farmhouse, another recently renovated Airbnb that can sleep six people. Both Airbnb’s can be rented to accommodate larger groups. Guest access Guests have access to the entire small home and the surrounding farmyard with adorable goats to watch! Other things to note Please place any trash or recyclables in the trash bags into the labeled trash receptacles behind the house. There are also bikes for your use in the open area of the barn behind the farmhouse. When leaving, please strip the beds and put the sheets only into the laundry basket next to the washer/dryer. Please throw any used towels into the tub.

I absolutely loved my stay here! Sam thought about everything! From the fire pit, to the incredible hot tub with coffee in the morning, I would return 100000 times! We absolutely loved the site on the sound! The water looked like glass and the reflection of the trees was beautiful! The sunset was gorgeous, and it was a wonderful place to get out into nature away from all of the noise!! We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Evans Family Farm

We had the pleasure of staying here in the beginning of November. It’s a very scenic spot by several ponds and surrounded by forest. They had even just put in an electrical hookup for us to use. Abegail was a very responsive hostess and her husband even lent me his fishing rod to use. I probably would have caught something if my dog hadn’t thought it was some kind of fetch game lol. Lots of room for my pets to roam about and I had a couple great fires while I was there. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back someday!

As always, the site is well maintained, owners friendly and amazing....and the views beautiful. We have been here many times and will continue to do so. I absolutely recommend visiting and staying more than a few nights. The area is dog friendly and separated enough from each camp site to have privacy. The ability to purchase dried wood is always a plus!

What an amazing campsite! Stunning views over the Albemarle, well-marked nature trails, birdsong. Hawks over the fields during the day, barred owls at night! Very quiet, even with other campers on the property. Virtually no bugs (thank you November!) Julia and Lincoln are awesome hosts, easy to reach and very communicative. Look forward to coming back!

This host communicated with excellent response times and even called to check on me while i was running late ( from kayak fishing til dark ) on the way to his lodging ! The entire rental lodgings were made to look & feel like a outdoor camp or retreat being it was along a pristine tidewater creek. The experience was just so friendly and Rizwan gave me the impression i was a welcome and appreciated guest. Definitely a great value & look forward to another stay at Serenity . thx Bluejay fan !

Weekend Trip to Serenity

We had an amazing time! The RV was beautiful! It had everything you might need. You could bring your clothes and food and you'd be all set! The screened in deck was perfect!! We spent our time playing cards on our deck, cooking food, fishing from the floating dock, taking out the paddle boat and fishing from it, (there are also kayaks available) star gazing in the provided zero gravity chairs, and napping. Riz, the host, was a super cool guy!! A couple of the days there were a couple different campers nearby, yet it was still so quiet and felt private. We can't wait to come back! We plan to bring my boyfriends 14 year old son and his friend and we will rent the tent on the water for them, and the rv for us! They will love it!! Thank you Riz for an amazing stay your property you have built is impressive to say the least!

This was a great place to spend the night with my son instead of a boring typical hotel. It had just enough rustic flavor to feel like you were camping out in the woods over the water, but still had a shower and a toilet you could use which made it easier with a kid. Rizwan was very friendly and accommodating and would recommend this for anyone wanting a more natural camping experience.

We were staying at this site for 1 night on a last minute weekend getaway. The site was clean and exactly what we expected. Great for fishing and such an amazing view! We ended up extending our stay inter night because it was so peaceful and beautiful. Will definitely return.
