It is a beautiful property all the way from the cabin that I saw at the top of the ridge down to the Pigeon river. The fishing suffered from Helene’s rampage but everything seemed to be well on its way to a beautiful recovery.

I stayed at Lijahs Ridge with my dog, Bandit for 3 nights and could not have been happier. The site was absolutely beautiful with stunning views! There were no other campers while I was there and it felt like my very own private retreat. I enjoyed listening to the songbirds, the hoot owls and even the howling of coyotes at night but my absolute favorite were the horses that visited each evening as they made their way up and down the mountain, grazing along the way. I also came upon them while hiking at Tai Chi Hill while they were playing and it was a joy to watch. On my last day, they visited the campsite and stayed for over an hour. I think they may have fallen asleep as they stood very still for a long time with their eyes partially closed. The gelding is very curious and wants to investigate everything. I loved being able to interact with them. Tai Chi Hill is amazing but the best view is from the horse trail that winds on up the mountain so that you are looking down at the site. I enjoyed being able to hike without having to leave the property and saw a wide variety of plants and flowers including Trillium, Bloodroot, Woodland Stonecrop and May Apples in bloom. Jill and Sara are incredibly gracious hosts. It was a treat to get to meet them. There is a porta potty just below the site with a sink for hand washing and farther down the hill, fresh spring water is available. I will definitely be staying here again and can't recommend it enough!

Let’s start with the list of what I didn’t like: 1. the toilet paper roll was on backwards Now for things I loved: 1. there was toilet paper 2. there was a toilet… 3. in a very nice bathhouse 3. the trails were perfect for our dogs 4. the hot tub was super clean 5. there was convenient power I could go on. It was a really nice site, not far from a convenient store, but with ample privacy and many glamping features. Definitely a great choice!

Beautiful land and lovely hosts! The site was perfect for our entire family. The kids loved roaming the land and seeing the animals (especially cows on the other side of the river who decided to take a swim!). There was a campsite within eyesight but the sound of the river made it feel like we were the only ones there. We couldn’t hear another soul, just nature! Beautiful spot. Would definitely recommend.

I loved the view of the mountains! They have provided so many very useful things for camping! Water! Shower! Shelter! Rain or Shine this spot is so sweet! Hot tub was so 😌 relaxing! Firewood provided. Very clean and quiet! Absolutely an amazing experience! Waterfalls everywhere!! Trails to hike!

We absolutely love staying here! Catherine and Rick are very kind hosts. This time we stayed at The Rocks site. Lots of space for us and our 3 dogs to relax for a couple nights.

I'd like to start by saying this is such a great spot, secluded and right on the water! It feels like your hidden in the woods but still very convenient to grocery store and restaurants downtown. Mike and Kelly were very accommodating and even helped us get our things down the short hike in and out of the campground, and offered to loan us any utensils or necessities we may forgotten.

This is probably my favorite hipcamp ever! We arrived late at night (10 pm) and had absolutely no issues finding the campsite and the adorable string lights really helped with setting up our tent. It’s the most gorgeous spot right on the river, and so quiet and secluded while being really close to town. The bank down to the river is quite steep, but it helped keep our dog from swimming all day. I can’t wait to come back!

Would definitely recommend this site. Peaceful and serene to camp there. The host was very friendly to chat with and made sure we were all set with electric and water. We were able to dump our RV which is always a plus.

The farm was such a great place to stay! Our daughter loved seeing the animals. This was our first Hipcamp experience and were very pleased! We will definitely come back!

We camped at the fern gully site, beautiful site 180° view of the flowing saluda river.. also caught some bluegill and a little bass. Now this site may be a bit of a trek for some and a little tip, when it rains . It pours.. be wary of that slick southern clay. it's completely secluded! Just you. the river. And nature! Also just minutes to downtown Greenville. And a short drive to Paris mountain.. Caesars head and table Rock State parks!

The perfect retreat right on the river, the hosts were great, making us welcome then leaving us to enjoy. Our pup has a new favorite spot to retrieve in the water. And five minutes away Buffet Latino was serving a full Puerto Rican buffet at 9 am! The perfect exit!

PLEASE NOTE, our rate is based on the number of vehicles in your group. The first vehicle is included in the nightly rate and admits 4 campers. WE CHARGE FOR ADDITIONAL CARS. The charge will be added to your booking once you select the number of vehicles at checkout. Please note that each additional car admits four campers. For EXAMPLE, 2 cars = 8 campers total. If you only have two cars but more than eight people, YOU MUST select the "Extra Person" Extra for each night they are camping. Please select these extras at checkout. Two porta-potties are on the farm and private porta-potties are available for rent. Groups of eight or more are required to rent a porta potty should you not bring your own toilet system with you. We do not allow the use of our small wooded areas as toilets. Please review the Extras options as we offer river lifts, firewood and dog stays; thank you! Quiet hours are from 10pm to 9am. Checking in before 5 pm is requested. Later times may be available with prior arrangements. Our farm is very dark and navigating at night is difficult. Contact Catherine directly so you can be checked in safely and accommodate your schedule. LIMITED CHECK-INS AFTER DARK. We are 1 mile off of I 40, 17 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 15 min. to Maggie Valley, 10 min to the Elk at Cataloochee, 25 min to Cataloochee ski area, 10 min to Lake Junaluska and 15 min to downtown Waynesville. Asheville is 20 miles to our East.

This property is located right across the river, or a short 5-minute drive to Dolly Cooper State Park that draws in disc-golf enthusiasts and park explorers alike. Camp moondog is only a 10-minute drive from the world-renowned Downtown Greenville, a destination known for its excellent restaurants, festivals, shopping, and social scene. Being situated so close to the city-center means that food delivery is just a click away, and running out for that last-minute necessity is a breeze. This is a unique opportunity to get “off the grid” without having to make those ‘off the grid’ sacrifices. At Camp Moondog, our philosophy is to offer a carefree, clean, natural environment for a relaxing camping vacation experience. We will be happy to use our ATV's to assist with getting your supplies to any of the campsites--just shoot us a message on the app if you need help! Pause || Eco-Retreat at Aramesh

This no ordinary campground. Pause is an adventure that will feel like you are exploring your own private mountain nature reserve. Aramesh is 120 acres of Blue Ridge heaven with something for every wilderness adventure seeker: unmatched mountain views, lush old growth forests, babbling brooks, and miles of trails for all skill levels. The property starts at 3700 ft altitude, with summit at 4500 ft on the Glades mountain ridge. We have only a few campsites on the vast property, so the wind in the trees and birds will be all you hear. Come and stay with us and be renewed! IMPORTANT: 4WD or AWD is required to access our property. There is a sometimes steep and windy gravel road into Pause. Please make sure your vehicle has 4WD or AWD before you book. Campsites: They are 3/4-1/4 mile from the entrance. Some are accessible by 4WD. There may be some vigorous hiking involved, but the views are worth it. The pads are various sizes. Let us know what the needs of your party are and we can help you choose from the available spots. We also have several more remote “off-menu” sites for those seeking a backpacking adventure - ask for more information if your are interested. Hiking: There are several miles of trails on the property. They range from an easy slope to very strenuous. The entire property is fenced so you won't easily get lost. Your climbing efforts will be amply rewarded by stunning views, especially at sunset. Trail maps are available upon request. On-Site Amenities: we provide a clean porta-potty and running water that is spring fed. We ask that you follow "Leave-No-Trace" procedures during your stay. Off-Site Amenities: If you choose to explore the area : we are a 10 minute drive from I-40 Exit 24. Asheville is 45 minutes away; Waynesville is 25 minutes away. Presnell's Grocery (highly recommended, family-owned store that sells locally farmed products) is 10 minutes away from the property entrance. The Ingles supermarket in Canton is a 15 minute drive. You will find every kind of fast food in that area. There are also several excellent local dining options in Canton, Clyde, and Waynesville which we are happy to recommend to you by request.
