And if you need supplies from town, Cashiers is the closest and is about 25 minutes away and Highlands is about a 45 minute drive. Both have great restaurants and shops to check out. Our gated, gravel driveway is steep and a half mile long. You will need an all-wheel or 4 Wheel drive vehicle to get up the driveway without spinning. There is ample space to turn around to park, but due to the nature of our driveway we limit the length of RV's to no more than 20 feet. Campsites are adjacent to the French Broad River. Excellent fishing and boating. It is heavily populated by deer and other wildlife. For this reason, dogs must be kept on a leash. Please note that due to the campground being in low-lying land, the drive in is subject to being slick and muddy, 4WD is required. Message us with any questions. Due to the property proximity to the river and situated in floodway, the sites are subject to flooding during heavy rain events. Voluntary and/or mandatory evacuation may be necessary during any reservation due to high waters or forecast for high water events. If evacuation is necessary, unused portions of reservation will be refunded. Campers are advised to be self-sufficient with water and shower facilities. We do provide a port a potty and firewood is for sale on site (Venmo, PayPal or cash). IF YOU ARE CAMPING WITH A RV OR TRAILER, PLEASE CONTACT US TO DISCUSS A SITE. All sites can accommodate smaller RV camper units. However, larger RV's have limited site availability. Campsites are situated along the river edge. Embankments are steep and near deep water. Although not prohibited, constant supervision for children is a must to avoid serious injury due to natural hazards. This RV site is on our property where we first lived in a mobile home. We love camping and thought what a great place for a quite retreat. So we made the site into a full hook up RV camp site. Beautiful location with a view of Table Rock located in the Historic Oolenoy Valley. Our property is located in Northern Pickens Co. of South Carolina. Plenty of trails, boating, biking in the area or just sit under your awning and enjoy the wildlife. Important please read! There is not evening shade in July and August, However, there are shady spots very close to the camp site that you can enjoy. Where your camper sits the Sun goes down at the front of the camper. It is typically not an issue until mid-July and August. If you need additional details, please contact me. There are two homes near the camp site. The one behind the site is our home. Just me and my wife, currently no pets. The other home is a small white farmhouse that I currently rent to close friends. Chris and his wife and two well behaved kids. The kind of neighbors' people dream of! In five years of renting this site I have only had one couple that felt uncomfortable with the homes on our driveway. They chose not to stay, and I refunded them. It is very safe here and secluded from the main road. Look at all of the pictures to make sure this is the spot for you. Thanks Sincerely SteveG

We had such a wonderful stay at this little Hipcamp gem! The site was peaceful, private, and shaded perfectly for relaxing outdoors. Full hookups made everything super convenient, and the adorable creek nearby was such a nice touch. We especially loved walking by the community gardens and chatting with the friendly neighbors — it gave the whole place such a welcoming feel. The host was incredibly communicative, and the directions to the site were spot on, which made arrival stress-free. We would absolutely stay here again!

We loved camping on Nate’s land! It was spacious, clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. The additional add on amenities were great. We added the hot tub, outdoor kitchen, and the WiFi. Super fun to have the access to the outdoor area. Close proximity to town and about 20 min to everything. We would definitely visit this site again!

1 night at Cedar Ridge Base Camp

Cedar Ridge is a wonderful camp spot. Good surface, trail wide enough for our Sprinter. Camp spots were separated nicely. Porta potty and a heated outdoor shower. Bundles of wood for $10. Beautiful sunset and heard a Great horned owl. And the mountain laurels were in bloom.

Beautiful campsite in a beautiful setting! The campsite is perfectly flat and the utilities and fire pit are well thought out and convenient. Great view of Table Rock is an added bonus. Steven was a great host and super responsive. We’re looking forward to a return trip; sooner than later.

This was the best RV site my husband and I have ever visited!!! Steve and Jane are incredibly kind! Our pets enjoyed their freedom and the beautiful property. If you want solitude they will provide. This was a pretty nice spot! We included the hot tub which was perfect after long days of hiking or enjoying some coffee in the morning. Only about a 20 minute drive from the Blue Ridge Parkway and lots of other areas for a good hike not to far away! Saw a turkey in the woods and lots of birds singing to you in the morning.
