We always love staying at Legacy Farms. It’s always a nice peaceful getaway, and allows us to reconnect with each other as a family. The kids love helping out on the farm, and spending time with the animals. As always, Liz and Tom are friendly and accommodating, and very patient!

My husband and I stayed 3 nights for the second time there with our A-liner. The campsites are nestled under loblolly pine trees and beautifully manicured property. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating and respected our privacy. We will be staying here regularly as it is a perfect, quiet place to enjoy nature and a respite from our busy schedules.

Easy to find, easy to park at, convenient to I-95, safe, clean, and so many extras! There are even well marked trails (with colored blazes!) running throughout the property. Great signage throughout the property, but the signage is tastefully done and not intrusive to the overall camping esthetic. The hosts are fantastic- quick and clear communicators. They engage as much or as little as you want. As noted in the HipCamp listing, the cellular service for AT&T is sketchy at best. I could not set up an AT&T hotspot, but did manage to get a few emails out and a few SMS messages out. The HipCamp app would not connect due to the poor AT&T service. The hosts offer a WiFi package …. I did not take advantage of this, but if you are on AT&T and need connectivity, I would go for the WiFi addon. This trip was only an overnight stay for me on a south bound journey, but I would like to come back and stay a few days. It is clear that Mike and Scott know exactly what a HipCamper would need for a stay. Thank you Mike and Scott!!!

Weekend Trip to Farm Stay at Saxapahaw Country Club

Beautiful last minute find! So glad we had the chance to stay at Saxapahaw Country Club—it’s a little hidden gem in a really cool part of central NC. The site was easy to find for setup. The space was very open and had beautiful sunrise and sunset views. The property is very well set up and maintained. The hammocks hanging between the pines overlooking the pond and the lambs/donkey was my favorite. Their pork is DELICIOUS. We met the owners and they are so sweet, and also very helpful/quick to respond to questions. We will definitely be back!

5 nights at Legacy Farms Leisure Area

Liz’s property is a working horse farm. When I arrived, Tom, Liz’s husband, showed me around and I got a peek at a foal that was only 3 1/2 days old. The next day, young foal was running around with its mother. People occasionally come to ride the horses around the farm. They also have a pride of beautiful peafowl grazing the property, as well as a few dogs and uncounted cats. Liz and Tom are extremely friendly, but give guests respect for the rented space. The water hookup is very tasty well water. 120V plug accomodated me until I turned on the toaster oven when I blew the circuit breaker. I consider that my bad. Electric fences are rife, so watch your children and dogs! I would spend more time here if I could. Just about 30 minutes south of Fayetteville, and nearer to other amenities, I find it very convenient for groceries, the gym, home improvement store, hardware, etc. Five stars all the way!

My friend and I found this spot to “meet in the middle” for one night with our dogs (she’s in Durham and I’m in Greensboro). We had a great evening. Super convenient. Would definitely return. Easy directions to the campsite. Felt very private while we were hanging out at campsite. Yet still close to town/conveniences if needed. We made a quick trip to the brewery down the street and it was great. Didn’t interact with the host at all bc there was no need. His Instructions were clear and accurate. Everything mentioned in the post was available and easy to find - including fire wood, which was greatly appreciated!

Weekend Trip to Parkton Place

If you are traveling on I-95, it's a great place to spend the night. It's close to the interstate, very attractive, and there is a friendly emu near the water spicket. The goats and pot bellied pig are pretty cool too.

Weekend Trip to Farm Stay at Saxapahaw Country Club

Direction to camp were clear, all the photos gave an accurate image of what we pulled into. The ground was level and easy to park for the High meadow spot where we stayed-easy to pull through. It was nice to have their lights, and also nice that they automatically went off after a certain time as to not keep us up. Loved the handcrafted steel fire pits and wooden chairs-perfect for relaxing without needing to pull out our chairs. Although we didn’t need it, they pointed out where the electric hookup was, and it was nice to have access to water, food prep table, trash cans, and the compostable toilet (simple with no notable smell at all with toilet paper-as well as feminine products as a nice gesture-and easier than having to use our own toilet/pack it in/pack it out). Cool to see them out doing their farm duties…letting us have our privacy while being available to us. They also were so friendly and sweet with our kids-even came over and offered for our children a once in a lifetime chance to bottle feed one of their sweet lambs!!! Farm cats came to visit frequently, which we didn’t mind a bit but just something to be aware of in case you aren’t a fan of cats. Great property to roam, fun tree swing that the kids loved, and amazing to get out and enjoy the sounds of nature and be so accessible to town.

Our stay On Liz's land was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, the friendly host made us feel right at home, with a gift bag of homemade goat cheese and strawberry jam. Their hospitality truly set the tone for our trip. One of the highlights of our stay was the opportunity for horse riding. The kids absolutely loved it, and it was a fantastic experience for the whole family. Additionally, we had the chance to feed the animals on the farm, which was delightful and educational experience for the little ones. Overall, Honeysuckle Alley is a family-friendly oasis that provides fun activities and a peaceful atmosphere. We can’t wait to come back and create more memories! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Weekend Trip to Private meadow and pond

My son and I took a weekend to camp, and Phillip's place was a perfect camp site for us. We tucked our tent in between the firepit and the woodline, giving us a great view of the pond first thing in the morning w/ the beautiful blueberry farm on the other side. The grounds are big enough to be spacious but not so large as to be overwhelming. There is enough space between the camp site and the house to feel like we were on our own little slice of land with our own space. The indoor bathroom and dishwashing space, while not a necessity for good camping, certainly made things more comfortable. The space was beautiful and quiet and even came with some visits from Luna, their beautiful, sweet, and gentle dog! It's close drive to a variety of state parks and hiking trails as well as the lake and trails at Lake Michael there in Mebane. It's hard to beat "feels remote but close to a lot"! As a host, Phillip could not have been more gracious and accomodating and kind. Again: the perfect mix of there for support while also giving lots of space. Thanks so much Phillip (and family) for creating such a lovely space and I can't wait to go back!

Located just east of Fayetteville exit 49 off I-95, is our lovely, quiet, and secluded 30 acre tract of Southern Yellow pines that we purchased several years ago. Since we love camping so much we decided to carve out 15 campsites for other campers to enjoy. Most of our campsites are gravel and level. We have a couple of sites that are grass for tenters. We have only site 1 that has full hookups. All the other sites are boondocking with water only.

While we are happy to be a late-night crash spot for after shows, we hope you stay a minute to walk the fields, hang in the hammocks, sit by the pond, or take a swing from the branches of our 200 year old White Oak tree. You'll come down our curvy driveway through the trees, and see our event barn on the left. In front of the barn is a communal space for campers to enjoy with a great view. This area has a fire pit, chairs, wood-fired grill, handwashing station, and farm table. Please note, this farm stay is an agritourism activity subject to the limit of liabilities as described in N.C.G.S § 99E‑32(b). We have sheep and pigs and a donkey rotating through pastures behind electric fencing. You are welcome to look but don't touch the fence! We also have 3 very friendly farm cats. You're welcome to fish and walk around the property. Enjoy a peaceful evening by the firepit and the beautiful starry nights. My husband is retired from the Air Force and works full time doing the chores. I retired May 2024 from being a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Womack Army Medical Center. I have a side hobby making homemade jams, pickles and flavored goat cheese spreads. We love the peacefulness of where we live...although the weather chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea fowl, peacocks, goats and horses do get a little loud come feeding time. We have different sites, please read each description or message me before you book a stay. All the sites have an 8pm latest check in unless you've stayed with us before. With the cold snap we have been experiencing the RV water source will freeze up over night. Please message me before booking the RV. We are constantly looking for ways to upgrade or make our farm more fun to visit.
