I had a wonderful camping experience here! The location is surprisingly close to downtown, yet it feels like a peaceful escape far from the city buzz. The hosts have two friendly horses, which added a charming touch to the stay. One of the highlights was watching fireflies at night — truly magical!
There are several designated camping spots to choose from, and they also allow access to the restroom in their home, which was very convenient. Right next to the site, there’s a scenic cycling and walking trail running along the Neuse River — perfect for a relaxing morning or evening stroll.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quick nature escape without leaving the city area!

A great quiet spot to get away for the weekend. You feel away from it all but still close to things if you need that. The other site is far enough away that you don’t hear your neighbors or the host family at their home. Bekah was a great host & super friendly.
We stayed in the wooded spot. There was a nice breeze & the sun still comes through enough throughout the day for a nice hammock nap. It’s a pine forest so prepare for ticks who love that kind of environment. We found several on our shoes & pups while there. There is also service if you wind up having to work while out. 😬 The pups also loved the freedom to roam the trails.
We’ll go back again to check out the field site.

I went camping looking for a place to unwind and came across this very private and well kept site. The owner greeted me upon arrival and was very friendly/informative as well making my stay very pleasant overall. Highly recommend for anyone looking for some peace with respects towards the owners and property of course. Thank-you!

This place is amazing, well off the road and quiet. It did rain, so the owner allowed us to park on the driveway, which was just as good as being in the field. They really have a hidden gem out here. Their driveway is super long and adds to the feeling of being even more hidden away from society...it was an easy drive in, plenty of room. They have big plans for the area out there and I see them having nothing but success!

We genuinely enjoyed staying here. The family greeted us with smiles, giving us a tour around the property. We stayed in the shade and got to fish. Different types of fish too! Only caution, ticks. Within the first few minutes of setting up camp myself and my Sister In Law had a tick on us. So, make sure you have repellent.
