We were four families who spent a weekend at Sugar Neck, and honestly, it was such a perfect escape. Having the entire place to ourselves made it feel extra special — it’s an amazing setup for a group getaway.
The tents are beautiful, super comfortable, and the bathrooms are neat, private, and way nicer than you’d expect for glamping. We couldn’t have asked for more. In fact, we loved it so much we’ve already booked another weekend for next week!
The host was excellent at communicating and made everything smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend Sugar Neck for anyone looking for a peaceful, cozy, group-friendly glamping spot.

We had a great time here with our kid and our dog. There were plenty of spots to walk around on the trails and explore. It is a beautiful and peaceful place. We will definitely come again.

Enjoyed the clear fall air in a beautiful and peaceful forest setting. Nestled in away from road noise I was able to hear the occasional wildlife as I warmed in my camper. Took a short walk in the cool morning air through the woods. Great stay!

The site was lovely, but not as private as I’d hoped. I could see the neighbors, and hear everything from the neighboring campers on the other side of the barn. The property was beautiful. My dog really enjoyed walking around and seeing the donkeys and such. I never did locate the trail. If you pay extra for it, like I did, ask for specific directions for it.

First time trying HipCamp and was super impressed. Site was private, well maintained, and gorgeous. We camped with 8 dogs and they had a blast on all the trails. Bekah was super friendly! We definitely want to book again for longer.

This place was amazing! Lots of open space and privacy. Our dogs loved roaming the fields and the nearby walking trails in the woods. We would certainly come back here again!

Bekah's camping site was beautiful, my tent was in a circle of trees, pines and hardwoods. The gentle breezes set the stage for a truly relaxing couple of days. Lots of birds to listen to, not buggy, in beautiful meadow. I would definitely stay again. Bekah was warm and friendly, letting me know where to find local services and that she was home and nearby if I had any questions. Just lovely.

I found this camping option when looking for a place that had a shelter we could camp under. My daughter and I go camping every fall and the night we were supposed to go camping it was supposed to rain, a lot. And it did. I reached out to Emma to see if we could secure a cover to place our tent under and she had one available. The location was cool, as it's about 150 yards from the Neuse River Greenway. They also have horses, so my daughter was thrilled to pet them. We fished some in the river and caught one fish. James, Emma's son, I think, met us when we arrived and showed us to our site. He's great and seemed excited we were there. He was helpful in giving us the lay of the land.
Overall it was a great experience. The heavy rain on the tin roof of the cover kept us up most of the night but it was better than a wash out.
I think we'll camp here again, but we do like to experience new places, so it may be a couple of years. I do highly recommend trying it out if you're looking for a place. It was unique (in a good way) and a good change from somewhere like Falls Lake campground.

I loved tent camping on Megan’s homestead! Even though it rained the whole night, my pup and I felt very warm and safe tucked in their wooded trees. So thankful for access to an indoor sink and toilet! The farm animals are adorable and fun, and the whole family was very welcoming and hospitable! ☀️ Americas finest!
