Weekend Trip to Easy Bend River Farms

Beautiful setting. On their farm. The two story rental had a lovely view of the (Yadkin) river. The scene was serene and peaceful. The lower level opens to the deck with garage style doors that really made the space feel bigger and brought the nature indoors. We would definitely go back.

Rebecca was a kind, accommodating, patient host and it was a pleasure to stay on her cute little farm. Definitely would recommend, literally not a single bad thing to say about my experience, thanks Rebecca!!

1 night at Ancient Spring Farm

Absolutely perfect stay at the farm. Rebecca is a lovely host and made us feel super welcome on her property. Hope to return someday 🌅

3 nights at Tiny Barnside Escape

We had an amazing time! Location is convenient to hikes and winston-salem. We spent our days doing hikes and returned for a campfire. Having the amenities after the hike was very nice. The host Chelsea was awesome and very responsive. The egg and sour dough add on was a cool touch too. Both were gone by the time we left.

We enjoyed our stay in Miranda's camper. Our kids loved the experience of sleeping in a camper, ample enough for a family of 4. We enjoyed the marshmallows Miranda had left for us to enjoy by the fire, that was graciously ready with firewood. The location is great as well, near to all the stores in Denver.

2 nights at The Barn Loft

We loved this farm! The rolling pastures are beautiful, it was a delight to see and talk to all of the animals. Brittany was very accommodating, providing us with some wood for the burn barrel. This is not meant to be a negative comment, buy if you stay during cold snaps, I highly suggest you layer up. As cozy, clean, and cute as the loft is, it does not get warm in the least when it's in the 20s. We layered up, brought extra sleeping bags so we were fine. The animals in the barn below have their idea of noise level. Ha! We appreciate farm life, so none of the various noises bothered us. It was quite amusing. The bathroom downstairs is very rustic, but clean. We didn't have the opportunity to check out the outdoor shower. We will definitely return!

5 nights at Hidden CLT Wilderness

This was my first ever glamping experience and i couldn’t be more happy about it. This camper is in a quiet wooded neighborhood. Absolutely beautiful inside and out. Miranda and her husband(whose name i cannot remember for the life of me) were perfect hosts! They thought of absolutely everything to make my stay cozy and relaxing. Even when i had silly questions, her response time was very quick and she helped with anything needed. I also had my dog with me and even she said this was 5 stars. Definitely would recommend!

I incredible venue and even better hosts. Highly recommend for anyone looking to have a secluded weekend with the option of having a night out on the town. The spot is dog friendly with plenty of space to roam.

Weekend Trip to Mini Farm Cottage (w/hot tub)

We had an amazing time in this cute little cabin. We were warm, even though it was cold outside. We hung out in the inflatable hot tub and looked at the stars and will definitely be coming back.

Our farm is a beautiful, private 25 acres with an 1830s house, outbuildings, animals, orchards, gardens, pastures, old trees, wildlife habitat, a spring, and woods. Here you can relax; watch nature; meet our chickens, goats, horse, cats, and dog; learn about archaeology, history, plants, and mead making; and get eggs and homegrown seasonal food. Listen to birdsong and watch clouds during the day, wander a path through our ca. 5 acres of woods, see fireflies in the evening, and star watch at night. Nearby are hiking, horseback riding, historical sites, fishing, antiques, wineries, shooting, and more. We are located in a rural area and have many different domesticated and wild animals so you may hear diverse animal noises and see or smell animal poop, although we try to keep things clean and tidy. Our neighbors have dogs, cattle, and chickens/roosters and occasionally shoot guns during daylight hours (one neighbor is a sporting club with skeet shooting and hunting dogs) but typically our farm is a quiet and peaceful place. We mow regularly and our rooster and chicken ladies wander far and wide eating bugs but, in the summer, they can't get every mosquito and tick so please plan accordingly for your own comfort.

Take the opportunity to stay in a one of a kind Farm Store loft on a real working farm. Crossings is a true market farm that has been in our family for over 11 generations. While the main focus of Crossings is always to be a community farm, we love opening our home and farm to respectful visitors. The loft is over our farm store and accessed by a curved staircase (no door between) . The farm setting offers a comfy spot for someone looking for a quiet spot to relax and rest after a day exploring out and about. The cozy space it perfect for 2 people who are looking for a unique spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of their normal lives. The farm store space on the first floor is a public area that is frequented by our regular customers during the day, especially on Saturdays. We allow our Airbnb guests to lock the farm store from 6pm to 9am each night for ultimate privacy and enjoyment of the space. There is a bistro table can that be used for picking up take-out or a simple meal cooked on the wood stove or outdoor grill. The back porch is a perfect spot to enjoy a nice rock in our Troutman Co. rocking chairs while listening to the farm sounds and seeing our crew gather eggs, move the cows, or re-stock the Farm Store. Not in the mood to hike into a spot? You can pull straight into the driveway and park to the left of the farm store. Other things to note **Please note that you are staying on a working family farm. There are multiple farm animals (chickens, pigs, cows, horses, farm dogs and cats) that are in close proximity to the Farm Store. We ask that you maintain and do not go into the fenced areas, greenhouses or our barns for biosecurity. We also ask that you not feed the animals, even though they may come up to the fence. *We do have farm workers (including ourselves) who are in and round the farm all day feeding animals, tending to the garden areas, filling orders and re-stocking the farm store. All of our team will maintain social distancing, but feel free to ask any questions of them while you are here. *Saturdays are our "busier" days on the farm. Our Farm Store is "open" and staffed that day for our regular customer needs. We are normally cutting wood, moving animals, fixing fence, building structures, re-stocking the farm store, mowing and weed eating. *If you have any concerns around our Farm Loft stay, please reach out to us prior to booking so that we can answer any questions with transparency. We have tried to give you an honest picture of what our Farm Stay is like since we are a very active working farm.

The RV is a 38 ft Jayco Designer series luxury fifth-wheel. There is plenty of room to park as you reach the end of the graveled drive where you will find the RV parked on private, family land with electric and water provided. It is in a cleared, but secluded spot surrounded by forest and farms. The unit is fully air conditioned for those hot summer days and heated for those chilly fall / cold winter nights. It has privacy, room darkening fabric shades on the windows. Basic toiletries (individual size soap, shampoo, body lotion), all bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets and comforter/quilt) and coffee and condiments are provided. There is a landline phone with free calling (because the cell service is limited) and superfast wi-fi for internet As you go through the door, you enter into the main living area with two super comfy leather recliners, a 42" Roku TV, ceiling fan, electric fireplace and a sofa . The kitchen has refrigerator/freezer, gas 3-burner stove, oven, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. All the dishes, utensils, glassware and cookware are included. The dining area has seating for four. The private master bedroom has a king size bed, 20" TV, closet and plenty of other storage for your clothing and gear. There is a full bath with a walk-in glassed shower, full size porcelain toilet, two sinks with individual storage cabinets. Outside is a charcoal BBQ grill, sink and picnic table for outdoor cooking and dining. In the backyard, you can sit in a pair of rocking chairs on a paver patio while enjoying the firepit, relaxing in loungers, play cornhole or settle down at the umbrella covered small dinette. Remember...as comfortable/luxurious as this RV is, it's still a camper and it isn't like staying in a house. The water pressure is weaker, the toilet flushes with a pedal, and everything operates with a switch.
