Our farm is an agritourism/sheep farm that offers seasonal events, educational workshops, a petting zoo, Bed and Breakfast, farm store, and camping area!
We are a working farm during the week but we allow campers to park on weekends or weekdays. The price is the same except the petting zoo and farm store are only open on weekends.
We don't have hookups, so bring a generator if you need it. If you need to fill up your RV water tank, we charge $10. Each of the 3 sites has a fire ring and picnic table.
A Grill Pavilion is available to rent for $20 extra. See photos. Propane, grill, table and party lights included.
We allow check-ins during the week after 12 noon, perfect for folks passing through and just need a safe and quiet place to park for the night and not interested in visiting the farm store, the barnyard or the rest of the farm, which are closed during week.
If you are looking for interaction with the animals, or need supplies from the farm store, we open from 10-4 weekends only. You can purchase feed for the animals for $1/bag then. We have sheep, donkeys, chickens, ducks, rabbits, turkeys, guinea pigs and geese!
While we are dog-friendly, we do not allow dogs closer to the petting zoo area. We offer a 1+ acre fenced in area next to the camping sites where you can allow your dogs off-leash. No extra charge.
Our camping area is a large grassy field that will accommodate multiple tent campers, travel trailers, and RVs under 30' with room to turn around, stake your area, and not feel crowded.
There is also 1 regularly maintained porta potty located in this area.

My farm had been untouched for years and only used as hay farming. It is rolling hills known by the locals as "Butterfly Hill" Which the farm is home to many species of butterflies in the summer. I know the area was inhabited by native Americans many decades ago. I have found a few broken arrow heads over the years. The farm is beautiful and quiet. I have a beautiful hiking trail around the property for you to take your fur babies on. The cabin is right on a beautiful stream too. There are several state parks nearby and river tubing within 10 -30 minutes. Hot showers and potable water just a few feet away.

Our farm is a beautiful, private 25 acres with an 1830s house, outbuildings, animals, orchards, gardens, pastures, old trees, wildlife habitat, a spring, and woods. We mow regularly and our rooster and chicken ladies wander far and wide eating bugs but, in the summer, they can't get every mosquito and tick so please plan accordingly for your own comfort.

Our native trees and crops could easily be devastated by outside diseases or pests that are carried in firewood. Once roamed by Native Americans and now farmed by the same family for over 6 generations, Harmon Creek Farm is a working farm of over acres. Peace, quiet, tranquility and privacy are overflowing along the creek, and hiking throughout the hills on the backside of the farm (and on the other side of the creek) leads to interesting and abundant flora and fauna. The stocked, spring fed pond is 'brimming" with angler challenges🎣

We have sheep, pigs and a donkey rotating through pastures behind electric fencing. Take a walk to say hello, don't touch the fence! We also have 3 very friendly farm cats.
Pork and lamb from our farm (as well as kiln-dried firewood) is available for purchase at our farm store.

We had a great stay in this little cabin. The farm is charming and beautiful… so if you need to get away from the city, this is a great option. The cabin is nice and rustic, and we greatly enjoyed using the wood stove. The hosts are attentive and responsive. Great place to stay with kids.

Our hosts were fantastic and supplied every possible convenience for us. As mentioned before, Jack the donkey is very friendly, and the stars at night are fantastic. The cabin is facing the rising sun, so be prepared for a lovely sunrise as well. :). We were looking for a "Little House on the Prairie" experience and this cabin didn't disappoint . The downtown is cute and the museum has hands-on things for kiddos. My kids are already asking to come back!

The campsite was in a lovely wooded area not too close to the house ( which is actually an old church that Paul converted into a home). Only a few minutes from historic Gold Hill.
Paul, our host was really friendly. Greeted us when we arrived and gave us local eatery tips. His dogs were friendly too! If we come back to the area, we'll definitely stay here again.

High Point Surrounds
High Point sits right on Oak Hollow Lake and High Point Lake. The city operates a campground at Oak Hollow Lake with tent and RV camping sites, and kayaks and SUPs can be rented nearby at the Oak Hollow Marina. RV travelers will find RV parks with full hookups and wifi in High Point.
Uwharrie National Forest
The Uwharrie National Forest’s Badin Lake Campground is 60 minutes from High Point and features tent and RV camping sites with picnic tables, fire rings, grills, and restrooms. There are opportunities for fishing, mountain biking, boating, and OHV use throughout this 50,645-acre preserve.
Mayo River State Park
Mayo River State Park is 45 minutes north of High Point at Mayo Mountain. The park has fishing holes, hiking trails through hardwood forest, and paddling access to the Mayo River’s class II rapids.
Pilot Mountain State Park
You can hike, rock climb, and rappel at the 2,000-foot tall Pilot Mountain west of High Point at Pilot Mountain State Park. Camp out among hickory and oak trees at the park’s campground, or paddle on the Yadkin River Canoe Trail.
Stone Mountain State Park
Stone Mountain is a 2,305-foot peak west of High Point that culminates in a 600-foot granite dome. You can summit the mountain, hike among creeks and waterfalls, try some fishing, and camp out at Stone Mountain State Park.
When to go
High Point has a subtropical climate that can make summers hot and humid. Lake or mountain camping is a good way to go during summer visits—meanwhile, spring and fall tend to be pleasant with cool nights. Fall foliage is renowned in the area around the Blue Ridge Mountains, while spring visitors may be treated to gushing waterfalls and wildflowers. In winter, temperatures can drop below freezing and snow is possible.
