Unclear as to why is this now called Shannon's land. The address is a campground called Roamstead (yes, address is correct) which is what it was originally posted as when I made the reservation. The staff at Roamstead Campground were amazing and extremely helpful and accommodating. They let me change sites due to not being able to hookup. Canât say enough about the staff⌠they were an absolute 10! The facilities were clean and well maintained and a nice playground for the kiddos. That said, it was 100% a campground. Any implied statements that this is someoneâs private land/private space like many of the posting on this website would be misleading. In peak season you will be right next to your neighbor just like any other campground. Itâs a wonderful place to stay just know you are booking a campground.

Group trip
My two daughters and I had an amazing stay in our creekside dome! The decorations were cool, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the host was very responsive. We enjoyed the sounds of the creek, making smores under our dome in the wood stove, and snuggling on the couch together watching movies. During the day, it was a short drive to all of our favorite activities in the Smokies!

This was a great stay in a vintage Airstream! Itâs nice and quiet and surrounded by gorgeous trees, and Tim checked on us to be sure we had everything we needed. The camper was very comfortable and includes linens, towels, and basic kitchen supplies and coffee. We loved staying here and would definitely stay again!

Amazing space- remote but little camping community. Running water, shower, and toilet. Creek is perfect space for kids to play. Bedding was super comfortable. Messages were answered quickly. Def gonna stay again!

3 nights at Wanderlust Woods
I loved tent camping, the host was very accomodabile and responsive. The location was just perfect, right outside of the Great Smokey Mountains! Very close to Gatlinburg! Me and my friends had a very good time, in spite of the light chilly weather, We had a cozy fire going!

My family and I absolutely loved Roamstead. The on-site activities were great supplements to the easy access to smoky mountains and Gatlinburg. Having the stream right next to our cabin and rv site provided endless fun and exploration! Will definitely be returning.

The âMarianneâ Airstream trailer was quite cozy and clean. Everything I needed was provided, including coffee and towels. Having WiFi was really nice, since I was not able to get a signal. And the instructions and directions left both online and in the binder in the trailer were very helpful and easy to follow. Communication was good. Thank you.

We loved staying at Roamstead. We stayed in a yurt which was fantastic. It was warm and cozy (low in the 20's at night), and perfectly decorated. The bed had an amazingly comfortable mattress. Ample outlets for charging phones, coffee pot, etc. There were easy well lit paths to bathhouse and lodge. The staff was amazing! They're fabulous baristas as well. We truly felt at home away from home. We certainly hope our travels lead us back in the future. We have absolutely no complaints.

The area where the yurts are is at the very back of the property, so itâs secluded and beside a stream. You can sleep with the sounds of a babbling brook & itâs heavenly! The property is well maintained, except for the lawn behind the main lodgeâŚthat one, you cant step in an area of the lawn without stepping on to animal scat (idk if itâs dog or other animals, but itâs the only area where every inch is covered with it, everywhere else? Clean.). The bathhouses & toilets are very vlean with very warm/hot showers & the hair dryers actually work & are full sized ones. Guests were all respectful of the quiet times & the staff were friendly & helpful. Overall, I highly recommend it & it definitely is kid friendly, with a well maintained playground my kid loved! Gburg & PF are 30-45 min away, so if you get tired of the peace & quiet, you can easily drive there for more touristy stuff. Weâll be back for sure!
