Numerous large manicured campsites in an open space DIRECTLY ON THE NEW RIVER where adventures abound! Up to 4 guests and 2 tents per site. Newly constructed tiny home provides GLAMPING at its finest! The Liberty cabin shares a space with a few tent sites along the river. With the addition of Liberty, I have limited the number of campers to 4. (Exceptions may be made for holiday weekends). There is plenty of space for everyone and the cabin sits above the tent sites for amazing views and privacy. While HWY 16 can be a bit noisy during busy times, step into the campsites and let the peaceful noise-canceling river serenity whisk you away. Forest views across the river with endless fireflies and stars that light up the night! Zaloo's Canoes, Kayak, and Tubes is within eyesight and will set you up with an amazing float or paddle down river. Plentiful small mouth bass and trout fishing just steps from your site. Outhouse w/washing station. Fire pits at each site as well as a large communal fire pit and picnic tables. Downtown West Jefferson is just 15 minutes away with local breweries, quaint restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, shopping, music, art, and a wonderful farmer's market from May - October. The quaint little town of Lansing, NC is quickly becoming a favorite stop of mine. Check out the Old Orchard Creek General Store, Pie on the Mountain Pizza, the Old Orchard Creek Blueberry Farm, and Molly Chomper for a perfect day in Ashe County. The New River State Park is an easy walk, float, paddle or drive away. This park is absolutely GORGEOUS and impeccably maintained, including hiking trails, public facilities, showers, boat launch and pick up, etc. Just a short drive to multiple Blue Ridge Parkway entry points for ease of access to Boone, Appalachian State University, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, and the Linville Gorge. Mount Jefferson and Grayson Highlands are also just a short drive away for unlimited hiking and incredible mountain views. My personal favorite is hiking with the wild ponies at Grayson Highlands! We have Firewood available for a nominal fee. Just let us know and we will make arrangements to have it ready for you upon arrival. Please respect quiet hours between 10 PM and 8 AM each evening.

We loved our time here! Amy greeted us on arrival, provided a little ‘care’ package and was able to provide some great recommendations for hikes and meals. Super nice host! The site has a fire ring and is right next to the river. There’s only about 4 more sites plus a little cabin located right behind the tent sites. It was a little tricky driving up the hill to get to the road, so we typically left via the entrance which had less of an incline.

Amy's Land is a great place to camp. Views are beautiful. The bathroom is very clean, the only thing is that if you have to use it at night, you'll need to bring some kind of light with you, as there's no light, but that wasn't a problem for us. The place is very peaceful and relaxing. Amy is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it.

As always, the best spot and the most fun! Camping on the river but also 15 mins from a lot of good food and entertainment. We love to go into West Jefferson but also a day spent in the water just relaxing is just what’s needed! Amy is the best host and it’s great to have port o potties on site plus running water to wash your hands and also wood if you need more for your fire. This was my 4th year in a row but it won’t be my last time!

We had a fantastic stay at Barlow RV. The location is close to plenty of mountain hikes and small towns nearby. We selected Barlow due to all the extra amenities offered. Having the gas grill and nice dining table with retractable shade awning made such a great difference! The landscaping at each site is high end and well done. Sites feel spacious and private. Advance communication was top notch with many suggestions on what you can find in the local area. The check in process was easy. The wifi worked great. This is a fantastic property and I look forward to returning.

This is a fantastic spot right next to the river, making for a really enjoyable and refreshing getaway. While there were plenty of others around, it still offered a great atmosphere to unwind and appreciate the beautiful setting. Amy was incredibly responsive and attentive, helping us both before our arrival and throughout our stay. Her thoughtful communication and hospitality made everything smooth and welcoming. I stayed the night at New River Redemption and had an absolute blast. Amy was an incredible host, she’s kind, generous, and super thoughtful. She set me up with exactly what I was looking for and went above and beyond by providing a gallon of water and firewood upon arrival. Her communication was spot-on; she clearly laid out directions and all the details I needed for a smooth, easy stay. The site itself was amazing, peaceful, beautiful, and the water was incredible. Honestly, the only downside was having to leave. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re considering booking, do it. You won’t regret it!

My husband and I arrived on a Wednesday afternoon, never been to this area, but Kim was so helpful and responsive as to which direction to pull a 40+ foot toy hauler there. (I am terrified by mountain roads)! We pulled directly up to our site. We did have to move a few boulders to get our 5th wheel aligned with power, water, sewer! The site was FABULOUS! The views, the wild life (Mommy and baby deers) were ample (for viewing) and you had a piece of the mountain all to yourself. The rental folder had everything inside. The internet/wi-fi was awesome! We were able to use phones and stream movies on TV with 4 of us. My Son and Fiance' came later Thursday night and they had no issues finding or getting to our site. Which had a designated parking space that was perfect. The conversation between Kim and myself were immediate responses! We were there for the 2025 Grandfather Mountain Scottish Highland Games, which you have to go to a designated place (we chose Avery County High School), park, and ride bus up. This was about 15/20 minutes away, which was perfect! We had a four day pass. Banner Elk was about 15 minutes away in the other direction! We enjoyed both areas! Just for reference, there was an Ingles Grocery Store about 15 minutes away. We did miss the dog park, but thanks to Hurricane Helena, it ravaged all that area, but plans to redo. This area was hit pretty hard by Hurricane, but you can tell it's being rebuilt, redone, fixed and made better!

10/9/2024 NOTICE: We had some damage to our road due to Hurricane Helene that made it impassable. It has since been repaired and is opened to traffic. There are still some remaining rough areas, but the road is easily passable by passenger vehicles and RV's up to 28ft. Our site was once part of a much larger farm growing tobacco and raising cattle and other farm animals. The existing tobacco barn was built in the early 1960's. The concrete pad used for RV camping was used to store silage for the cows. The non-potable water source is a mountain spring that has been used on the farm since the 1930's. While many tobacco barns in the area have been torn down for their rusted tin roofing and rustic siding, we have worked to restore the barn and preserve its history.

My Neighbor has started his own Campsite, "The Swimming Hole". If mine is booked up and you still want to camp, look him up. His is better suited for small groups but has much more privacy. We have a new road to the campsite; you can now drive down with two-wheel drive vehicle or RV down and park near your tent! There is plenty of soft sand to set up one tent or ten tents; large groups are welcome for an extra fee. A Porta-Potty is available at the campsite. Swimming is usually possible at the base of the falls; however, large amounts of rain can change conditions and make it unusable. I should also add, this is not a completely private campsite deep in the woods. The camp is visible from a shared driveway, and my residence is up a hill that overlooks the area. Also, I do not own the land on the other side of the stream. Occasionally, the owners of that land will spend a weekend afternoon enjoying the waterfall view also. Still much quieter and more private than a regular campground. Glamping tents and additional camping tents are available through a local company. Look in the pictures for the tent with red, white, and blue balloons. Message me for details. It is just 26 miles from the Bristol Raceway and the Bristol Caverns. It is just a 15 minute drive to Backbone rock and a short drive to the Appalachian Trail. The property was a Dairy Farm and went out of business in the late 90’s and since then there has been over 3,000 trees planted. Some of these trees include the rare Butternut and Hazelnut, but mostly White Pine, Walnut and Oaks. We are a working farm that allows camping, not a campground. Our native trees and crops could easily be devastated by outside diseases or pests that are carried in firewood. We offer firewood for sale from our farm (delivered to your site for no additional fee). Once roamed by Native Americans and now farmed by the same family for over 6 generations, Harmon Creek Farm is a working farm of over acres. Peace, quiet, tranquility and privacy are overflowing along the creek, and hiking throughout the hills on the backside of the farm (and on the other side of the creek) leads to interesting and abundant flora and fauna. The stocked, spring fed pond is 'brimming" with angler challenges🎣 Our cows, pigs, sheep, donkeys, chickens, ducks, geese are all eager to meet you, as are we! If you are looking for a secluded campsite deep in the woods, you may want to keep looking. But if you want the ease and peace of a campsite RIGHT ON THE NEW RIVER with everything just steps from your tent, then come out and claim your site! Redemption: To repair or restore. To make good. This campground represents redemption and healing in so many ways. Our hope is that you will find much peace, joy, and adventure here and we promise to do our best to make it everything you expected and more! Numerous large manicured campsites in an open space DIRECTLY ON THE NEW RIVER where adventures abound! Up to 4 guests and 2 tents per site. Newly constructed tiny home provides GLAMPING at its finest! The Liberty cabin shares a space with a few tent sites along the river. With the addition of Liberty, I have limited the number of campers to 4. (Exceptions may be made for holiday weekends). There is plenty of space for everyone and the cabin sits above the tent sites for amazing views and privacy. While HWY 16 can be a bit noisy during busy times, step into the campsites and let the peaceful noise-canceling river serenity whisk you away. Forest views across the river with endless fireflies and stars that light up the night! Zaloo's Canoes, Kayak, and Tubes is within eyesight and will set you up with an amazing float or paddle down river. Plentiful small mouth bass and trout fishing just steps from your site. Outhouse w/washing station. Fire pits at each site as well as a large communal fire pit and picnic tables. Downtown West Jefferson is just 15 minutes away with local breweries, quaint restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, shopping, music, art, and a wonderful farmer's market from May - October. The quaint little town of Lansing, NC is quickly becoming a favorite stop of mine. Check out the Old Orchard Creek General Store, Pie on the Mountain Pizza, the Old Orchard Creek Blueberry Farm, and Molly Chomper for a perfect day in Ashe County. The New River State Park is an easy walk, float, paddle or drive away. This park is absolutely GORGEOUS and impeccably maintained, including hiking trails, public facilities, showers, boat launch and pick up, etc. Just a short drive to multiple Blue Ridge Parkway entry points for ease of access to Boone, Appalachian State University, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, and the Linville Gorge. Mount Jefferson and Grayson Highlands are also just a short drive away for unlimited hiking and incredible mountain views. My personal favorite is hiking with the wild ponies at Grayson Highlands! We have Firewood available for a nominal fee. Just let us know and we will make arrangements to have it ready for you upon arrival. Please respect quiet hours between 10 PM and 8 AM each evening.
