Wiseman Ridge is a boutique micro campground for RVs only, first opened in July of 2022. Our property adjoins the Blue Ridge Parkway in Linville Falls NC with easy access off NC 221. We offer 5 full hook up RV sites with views of Hawksbill, Table Rock and Humpback Mountains. Micro means we have only a handful of sites but that is where micro ends. Each site is expansive, with large areas to spread out and enjoy the views or play yard games. Unlike typical RV parks our sites are spread out on the ridge top and offer great views and lots of space.
Our campground offers a unique camping experience for the RV and outdoors enthusiast. All of our RV sites feature views of the surrounding peaks and have full hook ups with, water, septic and 30 or 50 amp power access, high speed wi-fi access at each site as well as a picnic table and in ground fire pits.
Wiseman Ridge provides the peace and quiet of nature at its finest, with easy direct access to the Blue Ridge Parkway by foot or by road. We are just a mile down the parkway from the entrance to the Linville Falls parking lot and picnic area, and 2 miles from Kistler Memorial Highway (Old NC 105) that provides access to the western rim of Linville Gorge and multiple trailheads.
Our campground is for conventional travel trailers and motorhomes only. We do not have bathroom or bathhouse facilities so we cannot allow campers that do not have a self contained bathroom that can hook up to a conventional RV sewer drain and no human waste is allowed in our trash receptacles.

For those visitors who love to hike and explore State Parks, the campsite is a quick 45 -minute drive to Chimney Rock, an hour to Crowder's Mountain, 40-minutes to Lake Lure, and an hour to Asheville.

On the property you can walk through the woods, sit by the stream and listen to the water rushing downstream or trickling if we haven’t had rain.
We accommodate one RV at a time and provide water and hookups in a circle drive through on private property. The owner's house and two outbuildings are on the property. A future cabin and pottery shop are in the works.

My friends and I LOVED this camp site! The land was beautiful and we enjoyed waking up by the lovely creek. Dianne was incredibly helpful and nice. In short, we had a blast. It was so easy to get up and go see Boone, visit Blowing Rock, and find hikes along the blue ridge, etc. We will definitely be back in the summer time. Thank you, Garry & Dianne!!

I almost want to give a 1 star review so no one else will discover this hidden gem, however, the hosts and location were so amazing that I just can’t! Don’t hesitate- book any of their three sites for your next trip- we had the dome and creekside tent site for the weekend and there was plenty of space. Next time we look forward to renting the cabin and creek-site together for a little more indoor beds but the dome has all the grassy areas to set up tents. Plan to bring cash for firewood as well- $1/piece and burns great!

Overall was a great space, however, the toilet situation left a bit to be desired. It wasn’t a composting one and the directions left for us could’ve been more clear (we stood staring at it confused for a hot minute).
The creek off the trail is a MUST! So pretty- and with all the fall colors it was even more gorgeous.
One more thing for future hip campers; the wood is as pictured (none of it is split).

Loved this spot, great setup, was kept clean and organized, beautiful woods and creek trail. We camped with a rooftop tent on our Subaru and there were plenty of options of how/ where to park. The string lights are helpful and do a decent job of lighting the whole area at least a little. Could hear some noises from the road or neighboring property but very few and not loud.

This was our first experience with a Hipcamp and we really enjoyed it! This is a lovely site and we had privacy but didn’t feel completely isolated. Large space, nice view and pretty trees made it a beautiful autumn adventure. Eric was very helpful and we were happy he delivered wood for us. We also really loved the location with lots of things to do in the area. We will definitely recommend this site to others!

Great site if you're looking for a private yet close to amenities. The site provides everything you need really except I would bring extra firewood in case the provided is wet. We heard lots of wildlife and had peaceful nights.

Hosts are exceptionally kind and hospitable. Creekside location is beautiful. Cabin is cute, rustic, comfortable. Fire pit was near a picnic table and made cooking easy. Bathroom porta potty was clean. Overall, good experience, would recommend. Pro tip, arrive with a few daylight hours left so you can find everything easily before dark.
