From a small farm with typical livestock and vegetable gardens to a tree seedling nursery to hiking trails to cattle grazing in the fields, it has served its owners well. During the 1940's and early '50's, the Argura Post Office was located on the porch of my house. I have the original cancellation stamp. My husband is deceased, and I am hosting campers to meet people who love to camp as much as we did. My photo is with my dog Mollie. Property History: Coweeta Creek Campground WAS a 20 site, thriving, family/church oriented campground from the 1970's that was later sold, then neglected. Hilltop Site #5. Really pretty view. Close to a trail for a short hike to a beautiful 360 view of mountains. John and his family were extremely nice and communicative before and during stay. Really nice bathroom and easy access to firewood and ice. Only small things were a hourly rooster and the actual site has a slight angle to it, but neither came close to all the positives of our stay.

I had the most amazing stay at this Hipcamp site. From the moment I arrived, I could tell how much care and intention goes into maintaining the property. Everything was incredibly clean and well kept, and the views were absolutely beautiful peaceful, open, and exactly what my soul needed. The hosts were so kind and welcoming. You can really feel that they care about their guests’ experience. I especially appreciated how safe I felt the entire time. As someone who enjoys camping alone, that meant everything to me. It was the perfect getaway to unplug, breathe, and reset. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape with stunning views and thoughtful hosts, this is it. I will absolutely be back. 🌿✨

We had a great time here at one of the river side camps! Sites are large enough for a big group and Andrew was a fantastic host! Very well kept site. Be sure to check out his mountain top sites also if you are looking for a view. We plan to come back soon and stay at one of those. Very remote (45 min to nearest gas station/stores) so plan accordingly. Direct access to FSR into national forest. Can’t wait to return!

This was an incredible experience for my wife and I! The site we landed on had the most amazing views we could have asked for. Secluded, quiet, and serene are the best words I could use to describe this site. It is definitely off the beaten path, so be prepared for the 5 miles of gravel road leading to the campsite. Our dogs thoroughly enjoyed hiking beside the river and playing on the rocks. A perfect way to reset and start the new year!

Fantastic site with a fantastic host. The property is exactly as described and pictured. Great location close to town and the interstate but you would never know it! If you are looking for peace and relaxation then look no further. I managed to get my 39’ fifth wheel into the knoll spot. It’s tight but can be done. Do not pass up on camping here!

My fiancé proposed to me right at the top of our campsite with the beautiful mountain views and river flowing in the back ground. This beautiful spot will always be a special place for us! Very kind and accommodating hosts as well. Farm animals to walk around and see. Definitely will be back!

4 nights at Coweeta Creek Campground

My family had another AMAZING time camping at Coweeta Creek. It was cold but it was nice to have clean bathrooms with hot showers. We enjoyed the peaceful sounds of the creek while getting cozy next to the camp fire. We went to Winter Wonderland in downtown Franklin. We saw some pretty lights and enjoyed some warm cider while shopping in the local stores. This is still one of my Favorite places to camp!
