Bearwallow Moon, You'll ❤️ The Views

3 sites · Lodging, RVs2 acres · Fletcher, NC
We fell in love with this old farmland (four generations) while watching the moon rise over BearWallow Mountain. The property sits high on the land and faces southwest with views of Bearwallow and Little Pisgah mountains. The views are the reason to camp here. Close to all that Asheville offers but far from the noise and crowds! Please note that we are developing native habitat. Our meadow has paths mowed throughout for you to walk and enjoy the native plants, bluebirds and pollinator gardens.

Green Willow Farm

5 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents4 acres · Rutherfordton, NC
I moved here from Colorado just to live on a farm. My neighbor's family has owned much of the land around here since the Revolutionary War. My home is the site of their original homestead. They grow watermelons on their acreage surrounding my farm, while I am growing blueberries. The peace and serenity here is something to be experienced!

Take a Hike on a Wild side! Camping

10 sites · Lodging180 acres · Lenoir, NC
This property is 180 acres of woods and mountains with streams and ponds. Beautiful settings. If you like hiking in the mountains this will definitely hit the spot. YO can fish in the ponds it has blue gills and catfish. I also added grass carp there as part of weed management. This used to be an abandoned farm which I want to bring back to life. The site offers three luxury large Safari Style Tents and 4 Pioneer wagons. All tents are far away from each other to provide privacy and freedom of going Wild (still remaining civilized in your manners and careful attitude to Nature around you). Tent 1 is in the Forrest itself and it is pretty cook and serene. Tent 2 is on the top of a rocky hill overlooking the forest. Tent 3 is the most remote and closest to the ponds. It has most of the open space around it, and can be a great place for parties. We are working on making the sites and the area more comfortable, but I do not want to make it a manicured park. I want it to remain wild and still offer comfortable stay. The farm is work in progress. Eventually it will be an Ostrich farm. and have other animals too. The closest town - Lenoir is about 12 miles away . Closest Grocery store (Dollar General) - about 3 miles away. Closest Gas station - 2 miles away. Professional Tennis court, Basketball court and large kids playground are in a public park within - 5 minute drive. Lenoir has restaurants, shopping, etc. Hickory is a larger town about 25 minutes drive. Hickory Lake is a large reservoir with marina where you can rent a boat and it also offers a good game fishing. Nice swimming beach access on Lake Hickory 13 miles ( 20 Minutes) from here: Lake Hickory Wittenburg access area (Wittenburg Access Area, 175 Wildlife Access Rd, Hickory, NC 28601) Asheville is 1:25 hrs to the West, Charlotte is 1:25 hr to the East. There are couple of Ski resorts 45 minutes to an hr away.

Sage Nesbitt Farm

2 sites · Lodging, Tents12 acres · Fairview, NC
Cabin and/or camping spots on a large wooded farm. Secluded, yet only a short drive to Asheville, Black Mountain, Lake Lure, waterfalls and hikes! There are so many fun places to explore whether you are coming to eat and drink or hike, bike or climb. Take an afternoon walk down through the pasture and sit by the creek. Don't mind the chickens that may walk up and ask for a treat. And the pigs may be shy at first, but they warm up fast if you share with them. Build a fire at night, and sit under the stars as you listen to the nocturnal sounds of Appalachia. This tranquil farm stay is made even more revitalizing by the mist on the mountains in the morning as you enjoy coffee from the porch or your campsite.

Cherry Bounce Adventure Company

9 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents300 acres · Bostic, NC
Located on family land granted by King Charles in 1685 we have worked hard to restore and refurbish in a sustainable way, using the trees and supplies from the land that they sit on. Hand crafting doors and furniture the way the family did it 140 plus years ago. The history of this place is deep, even the nails for the cabin and farm house that is now the clubhouse were hand crafted by my great grandfather in his blacksmith shop, along with the wagon wheels, horse shoes, misc farm utensils etc... there was no running out to Lowes to pick up what was needed, it was made in the blacksmith shop. We love riding ATV's and SXS's on the trails on the mountains that I grew up on with my 3 brothers, we hope the people who visit and experience the mountains feel about them the way we do, we love em. We like to give riding tours and talking about the mountain and its challenges. We named the park from the famous product that was created here during prohibition, Cherry Bounce Moonshine. You can visit some of the original still sites on the mountain, of course they are not operational today. About the adventure co side, We are an adrenaline pumping ATV and SXS park with 25+ miles of mountainous trails at four skill levels; Green (Easy), Blue (Challenging), Black Diamond (Very Difficult) and Double Black Diamond (Most Difficult). You can bring your own ATV or SXS or rent one of ours. We have cabins & camp sites that are accessed by ATV or SXS on the mountains as well as hiking or biking. We do not allow jeeps, trucks or dirt bike motorcycles on the mountain, just ATV's and SXS vehicles.

Mike's country home and land

Welcome to Creekside FarmCreekside Farm is a place where you can slow down and enjoy things you might not normally notice. We are glad you are Here.We invite you to sit back, take your shoes off, and breathe deeply as you read this – slowly.Creekside is very special place where you, and those important to you can unplug and gently "be" with eachother. My wife Beth and I fell in love with this property because it has a unique way of calling us out of our busy livesand into a meaningful space of connection with our senses, each other and those we care about. We hope youhave the chance to experience this on your visit. In my work as a leadership consultant and executive coach I've had the opportunity to find a few "bestpractices" for a meaningful experience of life. I offer them to you below should you want to try them out duringyour visit. I promise they will impact your time here - and your time when you leave here - tremendously:Being and DoingSometimes it’s just fine to sit down and not do anything.Experience and CaptureSometimes you don’t need to capture an experience, just experience it.Quality and QuantitySometimes quality of life is more satisfying than quantity of life. Maybe less is more.Sensing and ThinkingSometimes thinking is overrated. Sitting still and sensing what is right in front of us can be eye-opening.Silence and NoiseSometimes saying nothing says everything. Turning off the phones and devices and listening to the nature’ssounds can further awaken and resensitize us.Below you will find information about this special place. It includes invitations, requests and details about howthings work here at the farm.We invite you...1. To use your time here to nourish your Self, Spirit and Body. Walk, breathe, smell, touch, see, and taste whatyou desire.2. To put away your phones and devices and be with the people you are here with.3. To remove your shoes when in the home and feel the floor under your feet.4. To be outside whenever you can. There is goodness out there. Go anywhere you want on property, it isbordered by the creek.5. To eat slowly, talk slowly, walk slowly and just hang.

Cluckin Lucky Farms

1 site · Lodging32 acres · Landrum, SC
👋 Welcome to Cluckin' Lucky Farm! We're delighted to have you here. At our farm, we take pride in being gracious stewards of this extraordinary land 🌎 Since the late 1970s, this property has been lovingly tended by an environmental lawyer dedicated to protecting our planet. In 2019, I had the incredible fortune of purchasing this farm, and now I'm even more fortunate to share it with all of you! 👩‍🌾 Owning my own farm has been a lifelong dream since I was a 6-year-old growing up in the suburbs of NYC. Cluckin' Lucky Farm is now home to horses, chickens, dogs, and cats, along with a large organic garden brimming with food and medicinal plants. The farm also boasts a bounty of blueberries, blackberries, wineberries, and mulberries. 🌊 The property features a perfect blend of woods and pasture, with Wolfe Creek meandering through it. While the creek isn't large enough for swimming, it's ideal for a refreshing soak. Guests are welcome to bring a chair down to the creek and bask in its natural beauty. ❤️ This rustic yet modern retreat allows guests to unwind and enjoy the property's magic while being minutes from Landrum, Tryon, TIEC, FENCE, hiking trails, and local restaurants. Whether you're here to hike, sightsee, attend an equestrian event, enjoy a romantic getaway, or simply relax, Cluckin' Lucky Farm has you covered. We look forward to meeting you!
