My Neighbor has started his own Campsite, "The Swimming Hole". If mine is booked up and you still want to camp, look him up. His is better suited for small groups but has much more privacy. We have a new road to the campsite; you can now drive down with two-wheel drive vehicle or RV down and park near your tent! There is plenty of soft sand to set up one tent or ten tents; large groups are welcome for an extra fee. A Porta-Potty is available at the campsite. Swimming is usually possible at the base of the falls; however, large amounts of rain can change conditions and make it unusable. I should also add, this is not a completely private campsite deep in the woods. The camp is visible from a shared driveway, and my residence is up a hill that overlooks the area. Also, I do not own the land on the other side of the stream. Occasionally, the owners of that land will spend a weekend afternoon enjoying the waterfall view also. Still much quieter and more private than a regular campground. Glamping tents and additional camping tents are available through a local company. Look in the pictures for the tent with red, white, and blue balloons. Message me for details. Close to US National Whitewater Center (mountain biking, whitewater rafting, kayaking), Kings Mountain National Military Park (Horseback riding and history), Crowders Mountain (Hiking), 3 miles off of I-85 and US-321 for people passing through.

YO can fish in the ponds it has blue gills and catfish. I also added grass carp there as part of weed management. This used to be an abandoned farm which I want to bring back to life. The site offers three luxury large Safari Style Tents and 4 Pioneer wagons. All tents are far away from each other to provide privacy and freedom of going Wild (still remaining civilized in your manners and careful attitude to Nature around you). Tent 1 is in the Forrest itself and it is pretty cook and serene. Tent 2 is on the top of a rocky hill overlooking the forest. Tent 3 is the most remote and closest to the ponds. It has most of the open space around it, and can be a great place for parties. We are working on making the sites and the area more comfortable, but I do not want to make it a manicured park. I want it to remain wild and still offer comfortable stay. The farm is work in progress. Eventually it will be an Ostrich farm. and have other animals too. The closest town - Lenoir is about 12 miles away . Closest Grocery store (Dollar General) - about 3 miles away. Closest Gas station - 2 miles away. Professional Tennis court, Basketball court and large kids playground are in a public park within - 5 minute drive. Lenoir has restaurants, shopping, etc. Hickory is a larger town about 25 minutes drive. Hickory Lake is a large reservoir with marina where you can rent a boat and it also offers a good game fishing. Taylor’s land was the perfect spot for our midway stop on our roadtrip, not far off the highway and the land itself was gorgeous. Our dog was able to run around off leash, huge plus after hours of driving. The toilet was clean. There were paths through the woods for us to stretch our legs. And our host met us to show us where to set up and could not have been sweeter. Great place to camp!!

I stayed in one of the MTG sites and it was great! The heater works very well in the winter and was super clean for me and my party. The views were great and the restrooms were clean. I’ve been here multiple times and always enjoy coming back. I would highly recommend this campground.

Beautiful camp grounds. Well maintained and easy to navigate. A number of additional amenities and small touches to make the stay feel a bit elevated while still feeling off grid and primitive. I also really liked how spaced out the sites were. You didn’t feel like you were on top of the other campers, it felt like you had reasonable privacy. Would stay again.

1 night at Lucky Farms Under the Stars

I had such an amazing experience car camping at Lucky Farms. This was my very first time camping and this was a great start to my camping adventures. Taylor and Marty were fantastic hosts and so gracious. I felt safe and comfortable here so I was able to get a good nights rest. If you love stargazing (like me) you will love this place with beautiful views of the moon, stars, and sunset/rise. This is the perfect place for campers traveling solo or as a couple/family. My dog loved the open field, but I arrived a bit later than I intended and I didn’t get a chance to explore the trails and other amenities, so I will be booking another stay here with my dog in the future. Weekend Trip to Adin`s river cabin

If you're looking for fancy, bells and whistles this isn't for you. If you're looking for privacy, peace and serenity in a rustic cabin then you found it. The cabin is small but cozy. The cabin does have hot water, but only for a couple minutes. It has a decent size sink in the kitchen. The bathroom is tiny and not for the costraphibic, but it's nice having something indoors. There also an outhouse. Adin offers heat for an extra fee if you ask. We didn't use it, it was chilly at night, but still warmer than tent camping. The rd to the cabin in narrow and a little steep, but we made it in and out with two wheel drive. The property terrain itself is pretty rugged and steep(sometimes slippery) with cliffs. I would say younger children need good supervision venturing if you bring them and it wouldn't be suitable for people with mobility issues. If you have children I would bring a baby gate for the upstairs loft, as it's an open entrance and exit at the ladder stairs, which are steep. Room for extra tents in site. There's tons of deck space here with three decks and amazing views from the top. The sounds of the rapids and the frogs are so serene. The river is beautiful and clear with plenty of room. There's also some trails on the property. Sadly you can see some of the damage caused by flooding from the hurricane. Our little family enjoyed our stay here. Adin and his wife were kind and helpful. What a blessing to own a beautiful piece of paradise. Thank you for sharing it.

Amazing property, with thoughtful planned out campground. I love to sleep outside in the hammock and this was an extraordinary experience for my wife and daughter staying at Luna Glamping spot. Great showers, the spa spot is so ingeniously tucked away while having the freedom of enjoying a beautiful evening under the stars. Will definitely return.

The campground is well organized, clean, and has beautiful views. The only downside is if you are staying towards the back of the property the bathroom is a long walk away, but the scenery is so lovely we didn’t mind! Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Adin`s river cabin

My family & I loved Adin’s cabin. It was perfect for us to escape the fast city life for the weekend. We walked the creek bank, searched for worms, tried fishing.. but had no luck. Mr. Adin said Helene had taken most of the fish. The water was crystal clear, & the sound of the water moving had me mesmerized. The kids enjoyed watching movies upstairs in the loft, & they had plenty to keep them busy. We can’t wait to come back in the Summer. Thanks again Adin for having us! The Turner Family 🥰

This was exactly what we were looking for when searching for our daughter’s first camping trip. The owners were so nice and hospitable and the property grounds are just beautiful. The trails throughout the woods light up at night which made my daughter smile for hours on end. She especially loved the rope swing and visiting the horses!. Don’t skip this spot in your search. You’ll regret it.

William’s campground was so lovely. Plenty of room to spread out and explore. The stars, oh my gosh! We loved sitting at the shared lookout point at night and just staring up at the sky. Check out the spa add-on! The sauna was perfect on a chilly Fall day. Would love to come back in the warmer months.

4 nights at Rose Creek Retreat

Rose Creek was a great spot on the creek, which included the perfect balance of seclusion and civilization. It was a great spot for my toddler and two dogs to explore. Thomas was a great host and had little odds and ends to make the trip easier, including a heated hose as temps dipped into the teens at night. Would definitely recommend and plan to come back!
