Abundant wildlife including deer, turkey, opossum, raccoon, skunk - even the occasional bear, coyote, and wild boar have been caught on game cameras. Only 1 hour from Charlotte, Winston-Salem and Greensboro, yet feels like a world away. 30 minutes from the North Carolina Zoo and the Carolina Treetop Challenge at Rock Creek Park. Minutes from Historic Gold Hill, Tuckertown Reservoir, Uwharrie National Forest and Badin Lake. Tents only please; as the road to the campsite is narrow and. AWD or 4WD may be required during wet weather. Cars that are low to the ground are not recommended. We have table and 2 bench seats, fire pit, water, trash bin, toilet, a canoe and noodles to use in pond at the pond site. Pretty much the center of all the farm activities. It's quiet and off to the side, under a shade tree. Pastures with creek are outback. There's a shower and bath just a short walk away. Bar area with lighting and electrical accessible! Several tables provided for outdoor dining. I provide a small camping stove, firepit, and 2 Mr Buddy heaters to keep you comfortable. SHEETS BUT NO OTHER BEDDING PROVIDED. If you get cold easily, bring your own sleeping bags and blankets. 2 towels with provided also. Coffee and coffee pot available. My property consists of a ridge running east to west with the access road running along the south border.  the land slopes up to the ridge for about 300 feet, and then down to the river for about 800 feet.  The south side of the ridge has a small pond close to the road.  The rest is pasture, and an orchard and small vineyard.  The north side of the ridge is old growth timber, and shady and cool.  The two cabins are along the river.  One is perched on a ridge over looking the river and the other is right on the river.  The swimming hole is 30 feet from the lower cabin.  There is room for a couple campsites along the river also.  The south side of the ridge was a cotton farm decades ago, but was covered in timber when I bought it 12 years ago.  The north side has been in timber for the known history of the property.

Waxhaw Country at its best! Very secluded 16 acres that is sparsely wooded with mostly old hard woods. Very peaceful and quiet in Waxhaw, NC with farm animals to watch during your stay. We have goats, cows, mini donkeys, dogs, cats and a pony. We have bottle babies several times a year and offer feeding times. We are also starting to offer day trips for those who wish not to camp overnight. Message for more details on anything. Should have babies through September 2023 possibly longer we are waiting on more to be born. This is a special place, a happy place and our Haven. It’s not really a camp ground It’s an actual working farm. We have animals of all ages here. We Have goats, cows, donkeys, dogs, cats and a pony. You get to come and tent camp in the woods or be right beside our hay barn next to cows and goats. Walking to the bath/club house you can pet a cow or goat or two on the way. We almost always have some baby animals. And you can come cuddle them. And hike in the woods. Sit by a campfire or just plain have some peace and quiet. Yes we are pet friendly. Seeing, watching and petting the animals is free to all our campers. But they are so many extras so much to do free or a small fee. All campers have use of the bath/club house at no charge. You can shower and rest in the ac/heat. Also we have a tv and dvd player. Free to use by all campers We very much hope you will come join us on the farm! So much to do. Walk the 16 acres, sit and watch the farm animals. We having sitting areas around the outside of the pastures so you can sit and enjoy. You may pet the animals too. Just watch those fingers. We have a lot of youngsters here. And please never feed them. Nutrition is a big thing on the farm. All these are included in your campsites no extra charge. We do have extras you can purchase to do. But the above things are just for you to enjoy. Also take a moment and look at the Hipcamp website on a browser. App doesn’t always let you know what we are doing and what we are up to. Owners are empty nesters that raised their family here for over 25 years. The owners are also artist and crafters. The art is available to be viewed and purchased. We also offer craft classes for all ages from preschool to adults of all ages and the fee depends on the craft. The property is very near Cane Creek Park daily use for the public and a short 2 minute drive to the main entrance of Cane Creek Park. That's where the biking, hiking, walking, fishing and boating can be done. yes there is room for your boat to be parked at the site. Google Cane Creek Park Union County NC for information on the Park. Yes you can walk to the park as well just a little longer than driving. You can eat your meals and watch deer and rabbits among other wildlife visitors and you can view the farm animals from your camp sites as well. Whether it is for just one person or and couple or a family with children or older parents there is room for everyone. Our RV campsite is cleared and flat area already at the barn that has an RV hook up, electric only. You just dry camp (no sewer or water hook ups). Wheelchairs can be used around the Barnside RV site. There is room for a tent or another small camper with the RV site but will require an extra fee. This campsite we are working to make more private you can see a neighbors house on the backside only but we are working on a live privacy fence just going to take a little time for everything to grow. the neighbors are very quiet and keep to themselves. you will here the animals more than the neighbors. The bathroom is a short walk to the bath house and kitchen but a beautiful little walk and you see wildlife and the farm animals on your way. This is a spot you can come and hide if you want to. If you just want to get away and not be bothered this is the space for you. There is a bath house with toilet and shower free to campers. Also a kitchen available this extra does have a small fee to cover propane, water and electricity. There is a stove, frig, sink a place to sit for a couple of people to sit and eat. This is free to all campers. Please bring your own food, soaps, toiletries and towels. The bathroom and kitchen are an apartment over a detached garage so there is a flight of stairs no wheel chair access. We have farm animal adventures available as well. You can brush a goat, cow, donkey or pony. We also have a Farm Hand Experience check out the extras. No riding available just brush or pet these animals. Also a few times a year we have bottle babies that can be scheduled for our campers to feed them a bottle and play with them. Bottle feeding is not available year round so please ask ahead of time if we have them. We have rules that are a must to do these adventures. We will let you know ahead time if you schedule an animal adventure. Truly is a sanctuary here but you can easily commute to Charlotte Metro Area anywhere in Union and Lancaster County or surrounding areas. You can bring your boat plenty of parking here at the farm and many nice lakes around to fish or play. There is water at the property we just do not have it available to hook up to RV’s currently. So bring your water cubes and we can fill them for you. You can pitch a tent or bring an RV for this camping site. We are making more improvements every week. More campsites coming. We have fire pits. Yes pets welcome on leash or can run in designated areas. We are now offering day trips, farm hand experiences, romantic campfires, small group get together aka party. You do have to book on hipcamp as the Farm Day Trip and choose your Extras for your activities. No you do not have to camp over night. But for a day trip you must book here on hipcamp. Please message with any questions.

Host Aiden showed me to the cabin when I arrived and responded to all my questions. The cabin, albeit rustic had a certain charm to it. The deck by the river was the highlight of my stay as I was able to relax with a book and watch my dog Obie swim in the river. The host sent me a message the next morning asking if we were okay, I so appreciated the check in. On my way out, my car got stuck due to my fault, Host Aiden quickly came to my rescue to help me get my car out of the mud, so thankful. I enjoyed the serenity of the area, walking around the property with my dog.

Me and the family loved camping here. Fairly large campsites with fire rings and picnic tables. Access to fresh water and showers. Toilets are porta John’s. I would recommend to anyone looking to just get away and relax. Not a lot to do for kids but otherwise it’s great!

We had a great time! Host was accommodating and we arrived a bit early and as the unit was already clean, they allowed us to set up a bit early before kayaking at lake James! The glamping Yurt/ MTG2 was so cute! Comfy bed! There is not regular power source, but solar that operates a fan, lights, and a usb outlet (not standard plug). The social area with hammocks and tables was lovely to overlook the Mountain View! The highlight was definitely the spa purchase! Soaking tub with sauna! The showers had hot water (was outside so bring a robe!) and portajohns for restroom facilities. Water is available at a central location, but not at each individual campsite (one large jug provided next to fire pit). Overall a fabulous glamping experience!

TFC is a great spot! Jud was very welcoming and accommodating and the views from the top are next level. We had visited South Mountains State Park a few times previously and it's great considering how close it is to the Charlotte area. But TFC has even better views of the South Mountains and a pretty awesome river to play in. 30 min from several foothills towns worth exploring. Very easy camper hookup, nice flat spots, and a great facility with bathrooms and some extra seating for the great views. Thanks, Jud and family!

We spent 2 nights at Site 5 and had a great experience! From the start, Jud stopped by to ensure we got settled in and made sure we didn’t have any questions. His hospitality during the entire stay exceeded anywhere I’ve been. There is a done of stuff to do, e.g. explore/hike, fish, kayak. The views when you wake up in the morning are great and the light pollution is non existent.

My friends and I all had a great time staying at campsite 6! There was plenty of space for us to spread out the 3 tents we brought and have room for our vehicles as well. I was easily able to drive up to the campsite in my smaller car. The portapotty was only a short walk from the campsite. Having running water not directly at the campsite but being able to refill our water jugs was very helpful. Our group also booked thes spa which was a great daytime activity. Even with 7 of us we all had fun. The tiki torch rental was also a great add on and a fun surprise for the others in my group. The hikes to the nearby overlook and creek were short but well worth. We hope to return to campsite 6 in years to come!

We had the best time tent camping here! My fiancé and I wanted to take our two year old daughter camping for the first time and after lots of research and reviews, I found Debi. This was a perfect spot for our girls first time! Not only did she have all the room to run and play, she got to see all the goats, donkeys, pony, dogs, kitty & chickens! Debi went above and beyond for us, we were late getting there and it was dark but Debi left the barn lights on for us and greeted us. She was very friendly and accommodating. We took everything we thought we’d need but ended up forgetting the chocolate for the s’mores, a quick message to Debi and we had chocolate for the evening! I highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again!!!

Located on family land granted by King Charles in 1685 we have worked hard to restore and refurbish in a sustainable way, using the trees and supplies from the land that they sit on. Hand crafting doors and furniture the way the family did it 140 plus years ago. The history of this place is deep, even the nails for the cabin and farm house that is now the clubhouse were hand crafted by my great grandfather in his blacksmith shop, along with the wagon wheels, horse shoes, misc farm utensils etc... there was no running out to Lowes to pick up what was needed, it was made in the blacksmith shop. We love riding ATV's and SXS's on the trails on the mountains that I grew up on with my 3 brothers, we hope the people who visit and experience the mountains feel about them the way we do, we love em. We like to give riding tours and talking about the mountain and its challenges. We named the park from the famous product that was created here during prohibition, Cherry Bounce Moonshine. You can visit some of the original still sites on the mountain, of course they are not operational today. About the adventure co side, We are an adrenaline pumping ATV and SXS park with 25+ miles of mountainous trails at four skill levels; Green (Easy), Blue (Challenging), Black Diamond (Very Difficult) and Double Black Diamond (Most Difficult). You can bring your own ATV or SXS or rent one of ours. We have cabins & camp sites that are accessed by ATV or SXS on the mountains as well as hiking or biking. We do not allow jeeps, trucks or dirt bike motorcycles on the mountain, just ATV's and SXS vehicles.

My Neighbor has started his own Campsite, "The Swimming Hole". If mine is booked up and you still want to camp, look him up. His is better suited for small groups but has much more privacy. We have a new road to the campsite; you can now drive down with two-wheel drive vehicle or RV down and park near your tent! There is plenty of soft sand to set up one tent or ten tents; large groups are welcome for an extra fee. A Porta-Potty is available at the campsite. Swimming is usually possible at the base of the falls; however, large amounts of rain can change conditions and make it unusable. I should also add, this is not a completely private campsite deep in the woods. The camp is visible from a shared driveway, and my residence is up a hill that overlooks the area. Also, I do not own the land on the other side of the stream. Occasionally, the owners of that land will spend a weekend afternoon enjoying the waterfall view also. Still much quieter and more private than a regular campground. Glamping tents and additional camping tents are available through a local company. Look in the pictures for the tent with red, white, and blue balloons. Message me for details. Close to US National Whitewater Center (mountain biking, whitewater rafting, kayaking), Kings Mountain National Military Park (Horseback riding and history), Crowders Mountain (Hiking), 3 miles off of I-85 and US-321 for people passing through.

Learn more about this land: Welcome to The High Land: A private, drive-up, mountainside platform for tent(s)!  About the property You will have our entire 14 acre property to yourself which features some amazing mountain views and is adjacent to state lands for exploration.  To access the site you will drive approx. 15 minutes up a gravel road. Overall we are located about ~30 minutes from I-40 and about 25 min to Marion & Morganton, NC.   For recreation you can access South Mountains Gamelands which is adjacent to the property. You can also drive to South Mountains State Park which is only 15 minutes away. Lake James State Park is 35 minutes away and offers great recreation potent entail as well as Linville Gorge which is 45-60 minutes away. About the listing We offer two connected 8x16' tiers with center posts for hanging a tarp or setting up tents. You can see in our photos how a tent would fit on the platforms, there is plenty of space and truly amazing views right from your tent door. The site features a fire pit and an outhouse.  Some amenities offered at the site: -Fire pit with grill attachment available  -Pit toilet outhouse -No water provided, please bring your own for drinking and cooking -No cooking or kitchen supplies provided Additional things to note NOTE: Low clearance vehicles are not recommended, but 4 wheel drive is not necessary. The road up the mountain is terraced in places. We do not offer wifi and cell reception is limited, depending on your carrier, so make sure to plan ahead. We do not offer potable water or kitchen supplies at this time. Pets are allowed.
