We ended up staying a day later because the place was so lovely. Lots of different kind of plants everywhere. The swim hole was lovely. This had everything my small family wanted - a simple and beautiful vacation. The fireflies add to the magic at dust. I love that it's just 30 minutes from me as well.

Another great stay at Wallkill river campsite. The foliage was in full bloom which made the site more secluded. Waking up listening to all the nearby birds is my favorite time of the day.

3 nights at Moon In The Pond Farm

Our stay at Dom's Moon in the Pond farm was ideal. The cabin was cozy and comfortable while the screens successfully kept the bugs out. The property is bucolic with adorable cows, lambs, chickens, etc. We pre ordered the spicy sausage with fennel along with other farm fresh foods - which were delicious. It was the perfect home after a long day of swimming and hiking. Would definitely come again!

We had a great stay at the farm! We loved the location by the river. Just a note that there are neighboring houses and there was music coming from there - but overall it didn’t affect our overall stay and we still like we had a private area. We had a great time camping on Sarah’s land! What a great spot! It was easy to get to, but definitely felt private. Perfect setup to hang out, cook food and enjoy nature. Lots of benches, tables, a charcoal grill and a fire pit. Lots of space to explore as well. Highly recommend this camping spot.

3 nights at Majestic Farm & Organic Orchard

This was our first time to Majestic Farm and to the Catskills. It is quite beautiful. We stayed in the Orchard tiny house. For the two of us, it was comfortable. The house is a little further from the kitchen, john and shower but all were quite adequate. Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there so we didn't get to explore the farm as much as we would have liked to. I'm sure at apple picking time, it would be fabulous! The four dogs and 2 peacocks (maybe 3) greeted us when we drove in. Our dogs met and got along with them perfectly. It is rustic but comfortable.

Had a great time camping at site one on Sarah’s property. The space is amazing, with one lawn panel after another next to the river. Allie especially loved the wide open space to run, chase her frisbee. And. She liked the morning eggs. Very peaceful, quiet. Bring a book, sit by the river, don’t check your emails. Sarah communicated throughout the process. Everything was fantastic. Thanks Sarah

Weekend Trip to High Peak Meadows

Mark was an outstanding host who truly thought of everything a camper might need. The site feels perfectly tucked away, offering a real sense of seclusion, yet it’s just a quick 5–10 minute drive to excellent hiking trails and nearby grocery stores. The tent kept me warm and dry throughout my stay, and the firewood, thoughtfully kept dry, made it easy to enjoy a campfire any time. I felt completely safe from the moment I arrived. I can’t recommend Mark’s sites highly enough. If I’m ever back in the area, I know exactly where I’ll be camping.

I absolutely loved this campsite! Adele led us up to her property in her 4 wheeler and I was impressed with the very secluded campsite, with a convenient and clean compostable toilet. The short private trail to 2 overlooks was such a treat. Even though it rained, I still had a great time & will definitely be back soon!

We had a great overnight at site 5 - loved the location and strolling around the farm fields, plus the proximity to the water. Our dog loved exploring as well! Due to the heavy rain in the prior days the track to the site was waterlogged and I was glad of our 4x4, which added to our adventure :) We will definitely return!

Weekend Trip to Terrace Farm Phoenicia

Adele's Hipcamp is my favorite Hipcamp. I've stayed at about ten different Hipcamps over the past few years. It is perfect for us because it has a very soft level tent pad, a super clean privy, an awesome fire ring, dry organized split firewood, a swinging cooking grate that is clean and level, a great table, and a nice short walk between the campsite and the parking spot. The entire site is dry, even after a good amount of rain. It is clear that a ton of work has gone into this site. It isn't just like an area in a with a mowed spot for a tent. In a visit last year my children played with some goats on the property. (The goats are not within site of the campsite) They loved it. For us, this campsite is exactly what we want in terms of nature and comfort. We have stayed here for short weekend trips. We have also stayed here on our way to and from the Adirondacks.

This was my second stay at this wonderful property. However this time we stayed in the new cabin which was super nice and tastefully set up. The cabin is very close to the showers which are also very nice and modern. The bed here is very comfortable. But I'd say the sofa, which flattens out, is not very comfortable for an adult. small kids probably won't care! All in all a very pretty property and close to a quaint town of Hillsdale for your needs.

Moon In The Pond Farm

Well off the beaten track, it's scenic, private and peaceful. Camping at Moon In The Pond Farm is a bit of heaven. There are separate sites to choose. Around the farm, you have your own secluded spot to enjoy. (Though you may be in a field next to our Scottish Highland cattle!) Two are tent sites: the PondSide and the FieldEdge. There's one site for small/tiny RVs or Campervan. And finally there's the HiddenCabin--a bed a roof and convenience. Each has a firepit with a small grill to cook over the fire. (all firewood provided) Our campsites are in quieter areas of the farm. One overlooks the pond, others are on the edges of different farm fields, one a cabin nearer the farmstead. All require a beautiful, bucolic trek of 150-350 yards from the roadside parking--ensuring the quiet, natural experience. During the day times, you may see or hear farm work. At night it's lusciously dark and serenely quiet. You'll hear owls hoot, frogs croak, crickets chirp, foxes yowl and coyotes howl! In June and July the fields and trees light up like Christmas with fireflies, and you'll see the stars. During the week is the absolute best time--the local hot spots (or cooling down spots!) are much quieter, and all our campsites have reduced weekday rates. If you can, take advantage by adding a Thursday or Sunday night to a weekend stay. We've got an awesome, easy hiking trail on adjacent Nature Conservancy land. It meanders through woodlands, around rock ledges, through wetlands (on a 600' of boardwalk) and ends at a beautiful stream and pond with a gigantic beaver dam. Not far from here are numerous well-marked hiking trails (including the Appalachian Trail (with famous Bash Bish Falls) and several offshoots (Sage's Ravine, Race Brook Falls), Bartholomew's Cobble, Umpacheenee Falls, and others). Also in the neighborhood are opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, gavel-road and country-road biking, and pretty much any outdoor activity/adventure opportunity. Or... you can just chill and relax, sleep, or read the day away! Love food? This is Farm-to-Table for real! Never so close--the table's AT the farm! Bring your cooking gear and get some of our wicked fresh organic food--veggies, chops, sausages, eggs, bacon, granola, yogurt, etc. Sear yourself up a real treat! Very nearby, as the Berkshires is a cultural mecca, there are also numerous opportunities from many great restaurants to art, dance, music, spas, galleries, antique shops, museums, cafes and much more. It's still amazingly quiet at the farm where the Milky Way is clearly visible.

If you don't have a car, the easiest way to reach Blossom Dell Sanctuary is to take the short line bus.Please note that owners of the land will be on site.We are not a Commercial Campground.We have multiple camping spots right now with more in the making. Each camping area contains various campsites with and without firepits. Some sit beside the Shawangunk kill, while others are nestled alongside a beautiful and tranquil brook. Ask the driver to stop at 809 Bloomingburg Road, which is in front of the Horse and Sulky Grill. We are only 1/4 mile down York Road, which is across the street from the grill. Our driveway is across the street from a green mailbox.All water sites are NOT exclusive to just the campers at the campsites beside the water. Little Birds Farm

This campsite is nestled in the deep woods of a 120 acre farm that offers beautiful views coming and going. After being allowed to use the restroom at the stone farmhouse, you will then go rustic and start your 3/4 - 1 mile hike in (approximately 20 minutes to the campsite) past the fields and pond down the path into the woods. The trail is remote and you will instantly be able to leave the sights and sounds of civilization behind you and breath the clean forest air. Wear good hiking shoes because portions of the hike are uneven and rocky. This site is best for experienced campers who know how to pack light with just the essentials as there is no tractor service to this campsite. When you arrive at the campsite, you will be within 20 feet of a year round stream with brook trout and in a hundred foot tall hemlock canopy nestled between two brook meadows. A 9,000 acre forested preserve abuts our property so you will be able to completely relax, bird watch, enjoy the wildlife, or fish for a brook trout breakfast without hearing the sounds of anyone but yourselves. The campsite has a stone fire pit, split log benches for seating, a canvas privacy blind around a stand of trees where the composting toilet resides, and a food bag lift to attach your food and trash bags to about 100 yards from the campsite. Unlimited Split firewood is free next to where you will park that you can take down to the site. All trash needs to be carted out with you. We can't accept mixed trash as it will attract animals that will knock over the trashcans and make a mess. No food goes in our personal trashcans as we have learned this the hard way.
