The camp was first built in 1905 by Dr. Goldsmith and family. The doctor and his family used the camp for summer vacations. During the winter the camp was rented out as winter hotel for loggers. Ice was harvested from the pond and stored in what is now one of the cabins. When our family bought the place, the hotel was falling down and the buildings were in disrepair. Geoffrey, the family caretaker, has spent the last few years cleaning up the site. All that remains now of the hotel is the chimney while the ice house has become a cabin and has been improved and ready for visitors. We have a double futon, small wood stove and gas burners for a cozy indoor experience. With 840 ft of pond frontage and 4.4 acres you can pitch a tent on the banks of the pond, up in the woods, or stay in the small cabin all are included in the cost of booking! Swimming and boating in the pond is obligatory. Year round fishing has long been a tradition. The spring fed pond is home to large and small mouth bass, northern pike, crappy, and blue gills. There are a number of ponds and state lands nearby. Accommodations include two outhouses and two docks so no waiting. There is a canoe and rowboat available and life jackets. The camp is car accessible Mid-May to the end of September. There are summer cottages across the pond but not much happening on our side. Cedar Lodge, the nearest bar/restaurant, is about 5 minutes away and very popular all year round. The closest gas station and convenience store is about 20 minutes in the village of Parishville.

This off-the-grid tiny house is nestled on a 23 acre parcel at the end of a quarter-mile dirt road. The property itself is secluded but is less than 2 miles from the heart of Saranac Lake's downtown. This property is bordered by the Saranac River, the backside of Baker Mountain and State Forest. The only other building on the property is our timberframe which we may or may not be at during the time of your visit. The property does have private trails up to the cliffs on the backside of Baker mtn however, the Saranac River is down a steep embankment so it does not make for a good place to launch a boat (several public boat launches nearby). Please leave it as you found it. Clean, dry, and bundled up. Keys – Keys for the gate lock, yurt door and boat chains are kept on the driveway-side boulder , in a small, gray fake rock Dome – The dome provides air flow and opens with an extendable rod with a hook that is kept inside, next to the front door. (Close it when you head home) Windows  - Windows roll up w/ or w/out airflow, (see image). Use the step stool inside, behind the fireplace. Pay attention to the weather and close the plastic window if rain is in the forecast. Spot dry if you forget. Fire and fire pits – No flame near the yurt. Use the propane fireplace outside anytime and replace gas for the next person if empty. Wood fires happen at the waterfront In the fire ring (only) and need to be controlled, have the black bucket full w/water. Do Not use the indoor fireplace. First aid & fire extinguisher – kept in the kitchen near the shelves/garbage. First aid kit is in a Patagonia satchel. (Call 9-1-1- in an emergency and please let me know if anything serious occur). Tupper Lake Health Center is 15 minutes away; 7 Stetson Rd #101, Tupper Lake, NY 12986 Cooking – Pest control is critical and begins with deterrence. Please only cook inside as necessary. Things that splatter (i.e. bacon must be cooked outside on top of the gas fire, carrying the stove/burner outside) Food – All food, including dog food must be stored in the car every night, or when away for an extended period. Again…deterrence. Drinking Water - Use Primeo 5-gallon water jugs for fresh water. A hand pump that attaches to those specific jugs is stored under the small kitchen table. Bathroom and wash up – Use the Nalgeen jug and soap at the small red table outside the porto-john to wash up. Consider filling it with river water to save money and time. (in most cases the small camp toilet inside should not be used unless we discuss it.) Garbage and recycling - garbage must be stored in the car overnight. The garbage can is wooden. Use bags in each and pack out the two bags when you head home. Replace bag is they run out. Lights – Bring personal flashlights. Solar powered lights inside come on at dusk and another option is available in the kitchen. Both use a remote control. Large pillar candles need to be turned on, but also use a remote control Boats – Use the key to unlock any boat that is available. Paddles are stored under the yurt and lifejackets and cushions are stored in the middle closet in a large bin inside. You should wear a lifejacket. Swimming – Swimming is fun. Be safe and have a partner. When the dam is open upstream (left), the current can be very strong. Sandy areas can be found at the end of the coves, at the property line (see map). Sheets, pillows, towels – Please bring your own linens. Sweep and vacuum - Please sweep and hand vacuum carpets when you head home. Door lock – When you head home and lock the door, you MAY have to lift up and out on the door handle and base to click the latch. Is it locked? Neighbors – They are all friendly but they appreciates peace and quiet. Be respectful and quiet by 9 pm. Contact me if you have any issues and I can relay messages. All small cabins have coffee makers/mugs. Four complimentary sets of golf clubs are available to use to play at the local courses. In addition, four tennis rackets are provided. Exterior security cameras (filming and recording) are on the property, facing main entrance points, main cabin driveway and field. *Please note: There is a sixth cabin set further back towards the front of the property (#61), this cabin is not for use. Our property offers an Adirondack-style leanto and two tent camping sites for anyone interested in a secluded, quite setting well away from the road and the sounds of civilization. Camping here is laid back, quiet and relaxing. You may see me and my family working on the property or you may have the place all to yourselves. Either way, you will love the experience here as much as we do. Camp Forever is a very special 45 acre property, located within the Adirondack Blue Line. It has been in my family since the early 30's. My grandfather carved a small campground out of the woods that he ran from the early 70's until the mid-80's. Some of my earliest and best childhood memories are from time I spent at the camp. In the mid-80's, my Uncle took Camp Forever over and ran it until around 2014. As a small private campground for over four decades, Camp Forever became a special place for many families from Quebec and from the local area. My family and I recently purchased Camp Forever from my uncle and have by rehabbing the property for the past several years. We built an Adirondack Style leanto here in 2019 and have been cleaning up the campground area for the past two years. While Camp Forever will never become a "campground" again, I am thrilled to once again be able to share this unique property with anyone seeking good times in nature with family and friends. Weekend Trip to Magikal trails

Very funky trails filled with small trinkets. It was fun to explore the property! It’s clear that a lot of love has gone into the whole space!! The lean-to and outhouse were definitely DIY and felt sturdy but Les robust than I was expecting. The lean-to was cozy though and had a heavy curtain to keep out the majority of the bugs and also helped insulate the space a bit so we stayed warm overnight on a chilly fall evening. Sue was super accommodating and let us charge our phones on her screened-in porch. We would stay here again!

Weekend Trip to Karley's Cabin

Karley's Cabin was such a beautiful cabin! As the instructions will say, you will need to bring your own sheets, towels, and pillow covers; however, the views totally make up for it! It had all the basic amenities (coffee pot, microwave, toaster oven, regular oven, personal space heaters, pots and pans) that you could need! There are a few card games, and books to read there. There is also a wood stove for nights where it's extra chilly! When we were there, there was some wood ready for use, but there's also a bunch of firewood stands along the roads. The hardest part was finding the driveway! It's going to take you all the way down the road- don't listen! It's the first right and it's uphill. Glad we used to truck to get up there, but I'm sure a SUV would be nice! Overall, would recommend this cabin to those who need a nice, intimate get away!

Had a great start at the tiny owl house. Comfortable bed and quiet accommodations. There was ample space for my wife and I both inside the tiny house and outside. Able to cook over the campfire.

Weekend Trip to Lazy River Cabins

You'd be hard pressed to find a better location for a quick get away, or an extended camp stay. The property is gorgeous and well maintained. Our cabin was in clean and equipped with a fan, heater, lighting, ect... The hosts are so gracious and care deeply for everyone's experiences on their property. With mini golf, roller skating, trails to walk, a river to swim in, and so much more - This location truly has it all. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and we can't wait to come back!

Weekend Trip to Sterling Pond

We had an incredible visit to the Pond! The place is truly magical, with a view of both the sunset and sunrise over the most peaceful pond. The property has many supplies (spices for cooking, boats, life jackets, tons of frying pans, towels, etc.). There are two cabins; the white one is insulated, and the red one is more rustic. Would recommend bringing an air mattress, as the futon is a bit small. The black flies/mosquitoes were not that bad in late July. We hope to visit again soon! :)
