ADK Getaway is located 2 miles outside the Adirondack Park. We have two 1-bedroom cabins (about 200 feet apart) on a quiet, wooded lot. Each cabin has a fire pit with Adirondack chairs, decks (soon to be screened-in) with outdoor dining sets, and small front porches, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. It's not unusual to spot deer, foxes, eagles, hawks, or hear a nearby loon. Each cabin is approximately 14 feet x 36 feet. There is a separate bedroom (with a queen bed), bathroom (with shower, sink, toilet, and washer/dryer), and an open kitchen and living room space. We can accommodate 4 people per cabin as there is a queen-sized sofa bed in each of the living rooms. The kitchen has a 2-burner stove top, toaster oven, apartment-sized fridge, pots/pans, utensils, a table for 4, and a coffee bar. Other amenities: electric fireplace, TV with streaming capabilities, WiFi, A/C, blender, fire extinguisher, microwave, iron, hair dryer, first aid kit, bedding, towels, books, games, puzzles, desk, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, and free parking for two vehicles. Baby/toddler amenities: pack and play with sheets, booster seat, plates, cups, utensils Additional parking for boat/ATV/snowmobile trailers is available. Our proximity to the Adirondack Park offers many unique opportunities for adventures: skiing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, and golfing. Titus Mountain, voted #1 family-friendly ski resort in North America, is just minutes away. Lake Placid, with its Olympic history and charming shops and restaurants, is within an hour's drive. Hike the 46 highest peaks of the Adirondacks; fish for pike, trout, bass, and lakers in many local ponds, lakes, and rivers; spend the day in Montreal (78 miles); explore nearby snowmobile and ATV trails; tee off at the Malone Golf Club, awarded 4.5 stars from Golf Digest; relive history at Almonzo Wilder's homestead (Little House on the Prairie); learn all about nature at the VIC (28 minute drive) or The Wild Center (1 hour drive).
