The subway is 4 blocks away (G Train, Greenpoint Ave stop), which will take you to the city in under 30 minutes. The Greenpoint Ferry stop is a few blocks away, which will take you to midtown Manhattan in no time! Please note that you might benefit from using a trucker app called "Trucker Path" while getting here, since in some areas of Brooklyn, you can't drive an RV.

Please note while our cabin is a premium experience on a working farm, it is still an outdoor experience that takes place deep in the woods, off the grid and in a cabin built from earthy or recycled materials. It is a far cry from a typical hotel or traditional glamping. This Clearing Farm off-grid cabin is located on our 100+ acre farm. You'll be staying right next to a waterfall and able to enjoy all our land features. Experience a private campsite equipped with a Casper Full Mattress, fire pit and charcoal grill. Please note there is 1 bed at the property but room next to the cabin to bring and put up additional tents. There is no power at the campsite. THERE IS NO LONGER THE WOOD BURNING STOVE IN THE CABIN - THE TOWN MADE US TAKE IT OUT. There is also no shower. If you would like to bathe in the streams please use all natural soap as the animals drink from it. The Thermal Spring is under repair and will not be back open until 2026.

This piece of land was developed by my mother, and named after my grandmother: The Awakening Garden is a translation of her name in Chinese. It is tucked in between the Hudson River (8 miles to the East) and the Catskill Mountains (10 miles to the west). It is just 6 miles from the Village of Saugerties and 14 miles to Woodstock, NY. The piece available for camping is 10 acres, but the entire Garden is comprised of 98 acres of rolling land (most of it in a forestry protection plan) bordered on the west by acres of marshland. Many trails criss-cross the Garden and lead one to pretty or interesting vistas including a large mountain laurel patch, ancient graveyard, and different stands of mixed wood forests. There’s lots of wildlife both on land and in the marshes.

KSJoy’s property was as described and a nice spot to hang out for a couple of days before the busy holiday season kicks in. Full electric hookup. No water this time of year (was just shut off last week). Nice area. Drove around. Followed the host’s recommendations for local food. Great advice! Had our four dogs with us. The property is close to a fairly busy road so having good recall (or we brought a fencing system) is essential. The road noise Fri-Sun in mid Nov. was not an issue. The host was very communicative and answered all questions but was hands off which we liked. Highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to The Awakening Garden
My partner and I were able to spend a really lovely weekend at the Twin Oaks cabin on Peter's campgrounds. We spent most of our time riding around on motorcycle and got in after dark on both nights. The view of the stars just overhead of the cabin was gorgeous. It felt gratifying to build the fire in the woodstove each night, which heat up the little cabin in no time. We got to see more of the thoughtful details in the cabin and even in the outhouse and outdoor shower as we were packing up on our last morning there. We'll be back in the area this time next year and would love to make it a new tradition to come back to theTwin Oaks cabin! Thank you for offering this space!

Had an amazing camping trip with my four lifelong friends and my two boys—great mix of old memories and new ones. We hiked to waterfalls, played games by the fire, and soaked in the fall scenery along the river. The cabin was simple but perfect, and the best part was watching my kids jump right in with the crew, making it feel like the traditions we started as kids are carrying on to the next generation.

We had such a lovely time here. Waterfalls galore! We did an overnight since we are total amateur campers but with the stay it was wonderful. We did this with our 7yo and 4yo and even took multiple dips in the waterfalls (mid-September). The water was cold but completely invigorating. The scene was very tranquil, peaceful and just secluded enough for us city dwellers! Including the waterfall right on premises, we were able to experience a total of 4 tremendous falls and the gorgeous Mongaup river. There was beautiful plant life along the walks surrounding the campsite. What a great hidden gem! Would totally go again.

Perfect if you live around hartford and want a quick getaway spot. Very acominating. Private but not far from food, beaches, and shopping. We got there when it was dark out so it was helpful that all we needed to do was set up the tent, they had everything else you could need there.

Also we had good use of our porta-pottie/bathroom close to our site and had a shed where we could keep our items dry if it rained. We enjoyed staying at KSJoy's land. It was exactly as described. You can hear some road noise due to the closeness of the road but because of the home on the property, it's still very private. Our dogs enjoyed being off leash and there was a good amount of room for them to roam around. If in the area we would not hesitate to stay again.

I love the variety of camping styles you can have on KSJoy’s property. I have hammock camped, tent camped and will absolutely be back for a car campout soon. There is a gorgeous, rustic stone fire pit that I haven’t used yet but may on my next trip. The onsite bathroom is a welcome amenity. The yard is beautiful. There is a bit of distant road noise but it does not detract from the peaceful surroundings. I already can’t wait to come back. Five stars all the way… if there was a star rating 😊

It all started when grandfather Charles B Wright first establish this farm in 1904. He purchased it for its natural springs. In our barn (now home to Gardiner Brewing Company) he had gravity fed water troughs for his cattle. Since then we have slowly switched from animals to tree fruit. You will enjoy rolling hills of fruit trees and fruit gardens along with beautiful views of the Shawangunk Mountain Ridge. We have 450+ acres so it in very private. As we are a working farm, you can see us driving pass with our tractors or maintaining the orchard around your campsite on occasion. You are welcome to ride your bikes, hike or jog where you will pass ponds and a working farm landscape. Please don’t pick our fruit. If you would like to enjoy the fruits of our labor please visit our farm store open year round on the premises where we sell cheeses, our fresh picked fruit and veggies, local meats, and our famous cider donuts along with other farm products. We also have a farm brewery open 3-7 in our old dairy barn for you to enjoy. Live music Saturdays and Sundays. Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Reserve are only 10 minutes away. The rail trail is three minutes away. This trail gives you walking and biking access into New Paltz, where there is tons of restaurants and lots of shopping. Always working on improvements! My second glamping site "The Medieval Encampment", is available for booking starting April 1st of 2025. I will have more pictures soon. In April of 2024, my long awaited 1st Glamping site was available for booking. It's been very popular! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you. I also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the property, so it's an easy walking distance from any site. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking. There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.
