Well off the beaten track, it's scenic, private and peaceful. Camping at Moon In The Pond Farm is a bit of heaven. There are separate sites to choose. Around the farm, you have your own secluded spot to enjoy. (Though you may be in a field next to our Scottish Highland cattle!) Two are tent sites: the PondSide and the FieldEdge. There's one site for small/tiny RVs or Campervan. And finally there's the HiddenCabin--a bed a roof and convenience. Each has a firepit with a small grill to cook over the fire. (all firewood provided) Our campsites are in quieter areas of the farm. One overlooks the pond, others are on the edges of different farm fields, one a cabin nearer the farmstead. All require a beautiful, bucolic trek of 150-350 yards from the roadside parking--ensuring the quiet, natural experience. During the day times, you may see or hear farm work. At night it's lusciously dark and serenely quiet. You'll hear owls hoot, frogs croak, crickets chirp, foxes yowl and coyotes howl! In June and July the fields and trees light up like Christmas with fireflies, and you'll see the stars. During the week is the absolute best time--the local hot spots (or cooling down spots!) are much quieter, and all our campsites have reduced weekday rates. If you can, take advantage by adding a Thursday or Sunday night to a weekend stay. We've got an awesome, easy hiking trail on adjacent Nature Conservancy land. Weekend Trip to Maple Corner Farm

This site was perfect for us! We came with our dogs and they loved running around on the trails and in the fields - the site had a picnic table and cooking area, and we grabbed firewood, eggs, maple syrup and a few other goodies from the farm stand on the way in. David and his family were amazing hosts, checking in periodically to see if we needed anything to make our stay even more comfortable. We took advantage of the permanent tent at the site and our own tents, both were super fun - we will most definitely be back again, thank you David and family!

We loved this spot in the woods:) Tiffany made sure everything was ready for us upon our arrival. It was a super private and beautiful location. The kids loved visiting the cows in the morning and I especially loved the peace and quiet by the fire with my morning coffee:) We had to check out early due to dangerous wind conditions but hope to return. Thanks for an amazingly peaceful retreat!

We had a wonderful trip at High Peak Meadows. We had an issue because of weather, but we pivoted and changed sites. All worked out fine. We got lucky and still had a couple clear nights where the stars were magnificent! The leaves were just changing and the property had some decent views. We set up a project and fairy lights.. it was pretty magical. ❤️ Good location and Mark was so very helpful even though he wasn't physically there.

We had an amazing time at this campsite! Check-in was super easy, and the location is very secluded — it honestly felt like we were the only ones there, which made it extra peaceful. The site came stocked with firewood, a lighter, and even some cooking supplies, which was such a nice touch. This private peaceful oasis is such a beautiful property. We really felt like we were out in the woods- no service and coyotes howling in the distance! The stars are incredible. We accessed one hike right from camp and did a few others that were just a few minutes away. We had fun exploring Woodstock on a Saturday and burgers from Mamas Boy in Tannersville. The tent stayed cozy at night with the stove and we really felt like we had everything we needed. We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Dandelion Hill Farm Cottage

This was exactly what we needed as an escape from the big city! The cabin was cozy and peaceful, you could hear peepers and see the stars, and the goats were adorable. Melissa was a great host and we had everything we needed. Super close to Great Barrington with adorable shops and good food. We’ll definitely be back!

2 nights at The Outlier Inn

Stayed solo for 3 days and 2 nights in one of the tiny house..really chill spot. Host was nice. The land’s natural and rustic, not fancy but pretty. Kitchen, bathroom, and shower are outside and shared with others (different but fine). Cute animals and fresh eggs for sale. There’s a bike trail with a lake right across the road! perfect for a ride. Tried Threshold and Innes nearby, 30min ish ride..both were solid. Overall, a laid-back solo escape in nature.

Weekend Trip to High Peak Meadows

This is such a beautiful piece of land, and a jaw-dropping view driving up! As noted a 4W drive is needed for crossing creeks, but that's part of the adventure! We had a bit of an issue with the air mattress squeakiness, but the hosts were gracious in how they handled it. They had the fire wood and a jug of water at the tent for us and were responsive in all of our questions.

Weekend Trip to High Peak Meadows

We had a wonderful experience at this campsite! The property is beautiful, peaceful, and well cared for, making it the perfect place to relax and celebrate special moments. The host is incredibly attentive and thoughtful, providing clear guidance to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable stay while also respecting the land. The campsite itself is well maintained, with great amenities that make the stay comfortable while still giving you that true outdoor experience. Our group especially appreciated the spacious setup and the chance to enjoy nature together in such a welcoming environment. We’re grateful for the opportunity to stay here and look forward to returning. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, organized, and enjoyable camping spot!

🤩 Wow! Next time I’d like to explore these trails because it’s going to take a couple days. The property is huge. If you’re having guest not from the East Coast, I’d come here to have them visit to get the true taste of New England here.

Weekend Trip to The Outlier Inn

This place is really cool! It’s nothing like a normal campground, there are out door kitchen areas that are shared and stocked with everything you could need equipment-wise. There is a beautiful pond, a working sauna, and a free use outdoor clawfoot tub, an amphitheater with a stage for events, and so much more. Dogs are allowed off leash so they can roam somewhat freely along the property as long as they are well behaved. There is a barn with a shop on the property where you can pick up meats, eggs, etc all handled through cash or Venmo transactions all honor system based. The property is huge so you don’t feel like you are on top of other people at all and each site has its own picnic table, fire pit and firewood stock. This is a place that you can tell reuses, repurposes, and up cycles what they can and they have done an amazing job making it feel cool and laid back. Our least favorite part were the outhouses (bathrooms) because they are pit style bathrooms, no flushing toilets. Nonetheless, I would recommend anyone to come check this place out. Josh was super nice and always available by text if needed. Highly recommend
