The meadow we occupy was once the farmers property that I grew up next to at my parents farm house.
When he wanted to sell his property he offered it to us for purchase at a fair price if we would not develop more than we needed to live here.
We maintained the meadow adjacent to our property and have kept it as an agricultural site.
We have had our son develop an edible forest garden and a unique diversified small orchard so we can eat and share healthy organic fruits and vegetables while helping our environment and wildlife and educating others to do the same.
It is expensive to live in Newtown but we love our property.
We want to teach others to grow food from their land while helping to support us keeping our adjacent property agricultural and undeveloped.
Our property has provided many happy gatherings and events and we love to share it with others.

Enjoy your stay next to our edible forest garden on the Edge of a beautiful meadow along side the orchard of berries, nuts and fruit trees. Various seasons will offer you an opportunity to pick your own breakfast in our maturing establishment. You can enjoy exploring, and examining our 7 year permacultuire food forest with chestnut seedlings already tall enough to climb , 10-foot hazels bearing buckets of nuts and a different selection of raspberries, blackberries, gooseberry, currents, golden berries, service berries and Mulberries. Enjoy a stroll through the meadow trail to breath in morning views and evening fireflies and stars. This camp area is very private but household amenities are not far away if desired. This site is much more private than Mickelberry Forest Garden Site and the beautiful mountain view is only a small step away. One mile away we offer nearby blue mark trails, mountain biking, lake and outdoor activities are at your fingertips and your hosts will be happy to provide any assistance needed to find or enjoy these opportunities. The Creamery (Ferris Acres) is one of the best farm ice cream shops in the East. We can provide breakfast upon request from our free range chickens on our kiwi lined deck with beautiful mountain views. Come and enjoy the croak of the bullfrog and the sound of the crickets. Nestled in the mountainside in Morris County this 10 acre farm estate is home to a plethora of wildlife, small lake, and large brook that runs through the property. The lake is home to native wildlife and the brook is loaded with trout. There are a couple of professionally maintained landscaping areas perfect for camping and firepit. It comes with a firepit, and everything you need for an amazing night out in the wilderness. There are beautiful hiking trails on site as well as right across the way adjacent to the property that are highly regarded in the state. The most secluded property you can imagine, it is home to some truly magnificent wildlife. There is no littering, and absolutely no hunting. As a nature lover, the respect I have shown these animals, is the reason why they love it here. Who knows what you may see! Firewood is available for purchase at the top of the driveway. It is handcut and seasoned for 3 years and stored in a custom hutch. $5 a compartment money goes in the mailbox.

Experience this special piece of lakefront property on Silver Lake outside the village of Mountain Dale in the Catskills.
🎪Have the entire property to yourself as you nest in a large 16 foot all season Bell tent. The tent has been carefully curated and styled by the designer/photography duo hosts, and boasts an eclectic, refined chic style.
☕️Inside the tent is a queen size bed, nightstands, lanterns, solar powered central fixture, two dining chairs, coat stand, clothes rack, fresh towels, cabinet for keeping glasses, plates, cutlery, French press, stove kettle, tea, coffee, water, pasta, basic condiments, wood burning stove with kindling and logs, A Jackery power station for charging laptops, phones, and other small items (see images to see what’s compatible.
🩴Just outside the tent is a cooler which keeps food cold for up to 10 days! We provide ice at the beginning of the stay. This also doubles as a bench to sit and remove shoes before entering the tent. We provide slippers for inside the tent, and recommend shoes that slip on and off easily for going in and out of the tent quickly.
🍳For cooking there is a 4 burner barbecue grill and stovetop, console to prepare, plastic sink for washing utensils and dishes. The land lights up at sunset as solar string lights hang to illuminate the cooking area, wash area, bath area, dining area. There is a lakeside fire pit and lakeside dining table.
🚿We provide up to 200 gallons of water for the stay, which can be linked up to a propane water heater providing running hot water for the outdoor shower and the sink.
🚘The local grocery stores, Buy Rite and Forage + Gather, are just a 3 minutes drive from the property.
🥾Bring your boots! Our path to the lake can get a bit muddy in areas after wet weather. Parking is about 500 ft from the tent, so please keep this in mind with regards to bags/luggage.

Nestled in the mountainside in Morris County this 10 acre farm estate is home to a plethora of wildlife, small lake, and large brook that runs through the property. The lake is home to native wildlife and the brook is loaded with trout. There are a couple of professionally maintained landscaping areas perfect for camping and firepit. It comes with a firepit, and everything you need for an amazing night out in the wilderness. There are beautiful hiking trails on site as well as right across the way adjacent to the property that are highly regarded in the state. The most secluded property you can imagine, it is home to some truly magnificent wildlife. There is no littering, and absolutely no hunting. As a nature lover, the respect I have shown these animals, is the reason why they love it here. Who knows what you may see! Firewood is available for purchase at the top of the driveway. It is handcut and seasoned for 3 years and stored in a custom hutch. $5 a compartment money goes in the mailbox.

Experience this special piece of lakefront property on Silver Lake outside the village of Mountain Dale in the Catskills.
🎪Have the entire property to yourself as you nest in a large 16 foot all season Bell tent. The tent has been carefully curated and styled by the designer/photography duo hosts, and boasts an eclectic, refined chic style.
☕️Inside the tent is a queen size bed, nightstands, lanterns, solar powered central fixture, two dining chairs, coat stand, clothes rack, fresh towels, cabinet for keeping glasses, plates, cutlery, French press, stove kettle, tea, coffee, water, pasta, basic condiments, wood burning stove with kindling and logs, A Jackery power station for charging laptops, phones, and other small items (see images to see what’s compatible.
🩴Just outside the tent is a cooler which keeps food cold for up to 10 days! We provide ice at the beginning of the stay. This also doubles as a bench to sit and remove shoes before entering the tent. We provide slippers for inside the tent, and recommend shoes that slip on and off easily for going in and out of the tent quickly.
🍳For cooking there is a 4 burner barbecue grill and stovetop, console to prepare, plastic sink for washing utensils and dishes. The land lights up at sunset as solar string lights hang to illuminate the cooking area, wash area, bath area, dining area. There is a lakeside fire pit and lakeside dining table.
🚿We provide up to 200 gallons of water for the stay, which can be linked up to a propane water heater providing running hot water for the outdoor shower and the sink.
🚘The local grocery stores, Buy Rite and Forage + Gather, are just a 3 minutes drive from the property.
🥾Bring your boots! Our path to the lake can get a bit muddy in areas after wet weather. Parking is about 500 ft from the tent, so please keep this in mind with regards to bags/luggage.

I took this trip with my adult son and I was as tranquil and a bounty of wildlife. The sunsets are great and you’re perch on a hill overlooking a lake so quite scenic. If you want to totally disconnect be at peace and rough it a little this is the place for you. There is a a generator for light, heat and a refrigerator. We took our own portable compost and a small rinse king system to wash up..
Cooking outside was a thrill for my son as well, we gather wood from the surroundings.
Konsztantine was very responsive and quite hospitable. Quick responses to whatever we asked. Best in class host. I will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Mark is an amazing host, along with his wife and dog. They were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, shuttled our bags to and from the site on check-in/check-out, provided us with plenty of firewood for the weekend, and lent us their canoe to take out on the private lake.
The tent is located on the far side of the lake (away from the road) with a stunning view of autumn foliage reflected off the water. It feels very remote and peaceful with only sounds from the surrounding forest and beautiful view of the stars on a clear night. The tent and fire circle are kept very clean with a heater provided inside the tent that keeps it very warm. It was the perfect setting for a romantic weekend having just proposed to my fiancée.
Overall, I would recommend this property very highly and hope to be back for another stay soon!

We had such a lovely time here. Waterfalls galore! We did an overnight since we are total amateur campers but with the stay it was wonderful. We did this with our 7yo and 4yo and even took multiple dips in the waterfalls (mid-September). The water was cold but completely invigorating. The scene was very tranquil, peaceful and just secluded enough for us city dwellers! Including the waterfall right on premises, we were able to experience a total of 4 tremendous falls and the gorgeous Mongaup river. There was beautiful plant life along the walks surrounding the campsite. What a great hidden gem! Would totally go again.

Amy was communicative and so lovely! The property is beautiful. The goats and chickens and ducks were fun camp neighbors to have. There’s a gas station and market 5 minutes away should you need anything last minute.
Due to the grass in the field being dry, we had to camp a little closer to the house than we would have preferred so that we could have easier access to load/unload our camping gear and so that we could have fresh grass to set up the fire pit over. But, it sounds like the meadow will be developed over time to allow for that! So, knowing that I think we would definitely consider returning when my friend and I continue our annual camping tradition next year!
