You might just want to crash for the night in a safe location out on the rangeland or stay a day or two to enjoy the land to walk, mountain bike antelope trails, and maybe even Sniffers the pronghorn antelope will find ya before you head out. This is a primitive site, so leave no trace practice is appreciated and pack in/out is how we do it here. If you come in the summer prepare the morning coffee early and enjoy the desert sun's rays hit the Capitan, but by 9am it will be hot, so be ready! Best star gazing and satellite watching in the world! I have several sites to choose from. But remember to keep an eye on the wind and weather as it can get crazy out here sometimes…..!!! I try to keep the sites stocked with firewood, but fill free to bring your own. Lonely Bull Camp 1 is my most popular site. It is very private and is easily accessible by most vehicles and campers. Ask about Lonely Bull Camp 4x4 if you have a capable vehicle. Amazing stars!! Old Highway Camp is a great alternative if you want something closer to the highway and have a safe private place to pull over, camp, kickback, make a fire and get back to your life on the on the road in the morning. It is closer to the highway, but is quite at night and has great star gazing. Enjoy being greeted by The Mountain in the morning. Close to Bosque del Apache, 13 miles down same road. Close to restaurants in San Antonio. Sites have full hookups. Owners do sell firewood. 2nd time staying here and would/will stay again. Good jumping off place. We did day soak in Tor C at Riverbend resort about an hour away and visited Elephant Butte. Lots of wild areas and off roading around Socorro which is close by. Decent views of surrounding mountains and Cranes flying by all day long. Great if doing Festival of Cranes at the wildlife refuge.

Nice host. The morning coffee was a welcome offer. This is a convenient spot in town. The setting is a neighborhood house with tent sites in backyard garden. Very pleasant. Use of bathroom and shower a useful bonus. Will stay again when traveling through in future.

This was the perfect spot for my quick trip to Albuquerque. Tara was great with communication and the space was super cozy. Everything you might need for a good night's rest or more if you're needing a warm, safe, comfortable place to hang. The location is perfect for whatever your adventure brings, easy access to key spots on the city and beyond. Tara kindly provided bedding and the house has all the things you might need (minus a shower as she thoughtfully advertised). A great alternative to a vacation rental and better than camping (no gear required). Such a great offering!

Beautiful location and spacious campsite!! Host has 2 sweet and friendly dogs that love to linger around camp, but take note that the dogs wandered off with our doormat and we weren't able to find it- host said this is something that happens here but we wished that was communicated in advance so we didn't set that out as usual (was a sentimental gift from my grandmother). Otherwise loved being so close to Santa Fe and would stay again!!

Very nice little spot. It’s tucked in the back of a main road and very dark at night. We loved that part as the sky was so beautiful! This is a perfect stop over spot. The price is fair and having the Owl Restaurant down the street is a bonus. Definitely get the green chili cheese burger! The host was very responsive and nice. We will definitely be staying again sometime in the future.

Had a great night at Michaela’s spot. Felt very safe and comfortable on my own. She was very welcoming and friendly when I arrived and was nice enough to make me coffee in the morning before heading out. We chatted and got to know each other a bit which was lovely. Would recommend to anyone passing through. Especially solo female travels. Overall great experience. Thank you for the stay!

There is a microwave, small fridge, small coffee pot, toast oven and temperature controlled space. Tara is an interesting person too!

This place is a gem!! Great location close to Santa Fe and the surrounding area. Super quiet and peaceful. The campsites are so lovely and easy to get into. I would have loved to stay and explore longer. We will 100% be back! Also we absolutely adored the farm dogs.

we had a great time at one of the RV sites. We stayed one night on our way back home. I would recommend arriving before dark. Some nights it can be very dark out. Brenda made sure we made it to out spot and was super fast with communication. Thanks for the pleasant quiet stay.
