28 nights at Pennhurst Tent Camp Site

Stephen was an amazing host. He really cares about tenting/camping (he is an avid camper himself) and really ensures you are comfortable/have what you need. The access to water and electric is really nice, plus there was an added surprise of wifi which worked really well at the site. The location is next to the new Indy Trail system (single track), a public golf course, and is a short distance from various access points of the Schuylkill River Trail. Ten minutes from 422 through the cute town of Royersford. The space itself is flat, and feels private behind a shed. The super large yard was loved by my 3 dogs (fenced in, and real grass!).

We had a lovely time, the view is pretty. The bathroom and shower were nice and clean(water will take a few minutes to warm up don’t worry). Ground is pretty rocky so would definitely recommend having a hammer for stakes if tent camping. Each spot did have a picnic table and metal fire pit. We didn’t use any electric and if it were needed I assume there is a hookup closer to the bathrooms and would recommend setting up closer if electric is needed. Jim Thorpe wasn’t far and easily made it in town and also was easily able to get to AT trailhead for more beautiful sights.

Eric’s land is beautiful, with walking trails, a pond, and 3 campsites that are far enough away from each other to make you feel like it is just you and the wilderness. We had a wonderful stay at Fluffy Butts! The campsite was easy to find and still felt secluded and very private. Rae pulled in right after we did while we were unloading our car. Beautiful property, close to lots of great hiking. Our site at the top of the hill had a great view. We also fished in the private pond and caught a few bass and sunfish. Would definitely stay here again!
