Very close to local hikes and food. The land was private, tidy, and everything was accounted for. Even with the oppressive heat we had this weekend we were able to enjoy everything it had to offer. The host was friendly and accommodating

I absolutely loved my stay here - every part of it felt thoughtful and full of heart. Rae is incredibly kind and generous with their time, taking care to show me around and share the love and intention behind the sanctuary. The animals are precious, so fun to spend time with, and clearly beloved. The Sanctuary has many features and touches that makes it especially charming - the bridge, twinkle lights, stream, pond, and carved little trails behind the tent are all quite lovely to wander down and relax by. A wonderful and worthwhile getaway that supports a hardworking and kindhearted cause.

Our stay at Fluffy Butt Rescue was lovely in every way! The setting is idyllic, with a perfect flowing stream, fairy-tale bridge, beautifully appointed tent, and of course the charming Fluffy-Butts! Rae was such a warm and welcoming host - her artist's touch is evident in every detail, and the love and care she has for each animal resident is infectious. We woke up on the morning of our second day to find a gorgeous, hand-picked bouquet waiting for us on the edge of the bridge in the morning sunlight - an unexpected gift that made us feel extra-special. Ten out of ten - we would absolutely recommend a stay at Fluffy Butt Rescue, and already talked about coming back again!

We loved glamping at Fluffy Butt Sanctuary!!! The tent is beautiful and the bed is so comfortable! The sound of the stream was so peaceful. Highly recommend bringing coffee grounds and using the percolator. We LOVED getting to see all of the beautiful animals! Rae is so nice and welcoming. Directions are clear and she is very responsive to questions. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful trip with amazing rescue animals😍

Rae is the most down to earth person! Super sweet, super kind, awesome host!
I’m happy Rae was willing to share her getaway with us. It was nice to get away from the city to surround yourself with nature. Nothing beats going to bed and waking up to the sound of birds and the stream. I would 100% recommend this place. The property and animals are phenomenal:)

This was our second time at FBR in the last year and our family of 4 enjoyed every moment. We extended our stay a bit longer this time to enjoy the sweet animals, the musical creek and the peacefulness of it all. We appreciate how close the trailhead is for biking to Frenchtown and beyond. FBR is the perfect glamping getaway from city life. Rae and her family are always so gracious. We’ll be back again.

What could be better than waking up to a farm of alpaca, sheep, ducks, pigs, turkey, and chickens running around! We loved our stay at the Fluffy Butt rescue. The host Rae and her family were friendly and accommodating. We had a beautiful, sunny weekend but it was very cold at night. Rae gave us extra blankets and hand and feet warmers. We hiked the Ringing Rock trail. We visited a farmers market nearby that had delicious homemade pies. The tent was very cozy and comfortable. At night we sat by the fire listening to the sound of the stream. It was a perfect weekend.

I love camping at Fluffy Butt! Rae is an excellent host, and she's done a good job to make the tent feel like home. My partner and I stayed during a very cold weekend, so Rae provided us with several extra layers of bedding so that we didn't even mind the cold! The inside of the tent was very cozy at night, and we could hear the gentle flow from the stream outside.
The tent is onsite at the sanctuary, which meant there were a handful of fluffy butt residents hanging around the grounds during the day. Rudy the alpaca will admire you from afar (at least I think it's admiration). Goldie the sheep will come right up to you for pets and conversation. If you hang out near the stream, you'll see my boys Alfalfa and Indie waddling around, quacking in unison. Occasionally, you'll hear one of the sheep "baah", or one of the hens clucking.
Fluffy Butt is a wonderful sanctuary for the animals and makes for a unique campsite experience. I'd recommend this site to anyone.

Fluffy Butt Rescue offered exactly the experience our family was dreaming of! If we had the time, we would have extended our stay a few more days to continue soaking up all the cuteness of the farm animals and serenity of the environment. The yurt was super cozy and spacious enough for our family of four; the hammock under the foot bridge was equally cozy for daytime naps. We hope to return in the Spring! Thank you, Rae & family.

We had the most lovely stay at Fluffy Butt! The farm is beautiful and the animals and owner Rae are very cool. The tent was well appointed and cozy on our chilly fall evening. We made a fire and enjoyed the sounds of nature. We would definitely return.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Bell Tent after winning an auction at the Diner En Vert event. It was so relaxing reading on the hammock, making s'mores around the campfire, playing cards (with Rudy’s cute face on them) in the tent, and hearing the sounds of nature around us. We got to meet the animals Rae takes care of at The Fluffy Butt Sanctuary, and they were all so happy. I really enjoyed seeing their unique personalities shine, especially after hearing about their past’s. I’m so glad I won the auction, because I didn’t know this existed before then- if you get a chance to visit, you will not regret it! Say hi to the animals for me 👋🏼

This was such a perfect little getaway!! Brilliantly tucked away in the woods, Fluffy Butt was definitely a magical little gem. We were greeted on the property by two of the friendliest sheep, and lovely cat who walked us over to our tent, next to a beautiful walkable and swimmable creek! Rea was an incredible host who has crafted such a beautiful rescue. It was quiet and clean and the ideal run away to the woods!! We definitely hope to be back in the future!!

Absolutely amazing! This was totally a great find thanks to Hipcamp. Rae’s space was absolutely lovely. Beautiful plot of land in NJ, wonderful tent setup, + OMG the animals! It was so cool to come to a campsite + see pigs + sheep just walking around! Rae + their spouse were wonderful hosts, talking to us about their work with Fluffy Butt Rescue. I will definitely be back again!

Rae was an incredible host! She provided us with hammers to go play at ringing rocks park, we loved the stories of all the animals. the bed was super comfy! we heard red fox at night and enjoyed cooking our dinners over the campfire. we hiked at Mt Tamminy in del water gap, swam in the river and ran on the Delaware canal trail. excellent experience !!

Fluffy butt provided a beautiful setting, comfy bed and convenient creek for our warm two night stay! We highly recommend you consider this location for your next low key, private camping adventure. We loved the animals and how gracious Rae was as a host. We enjoyed the spot so much that we bailed on kayaking just to spend more time on the land. It was a real treat to find this gem and to be able to day trip to Frenchtown and New Hope.
Rae was gracious enough to take us on a private tour of the rescue where we got to meet all of the animals! She was attentive to our needs the entire weekend and her passion for providing a welcoming space added to our stay.
We brought a small wagon to transport our things from the car to the tent which we highly recommend if you have one.
The temperature got down to the low 60's and we were warm enough with the blankets on the bed. We really didn't have to bring much more than food and clothes.
Play in the creek, use the hammock and enjoy the animals!

My companion and I loved staying on Rae’s land in the bell tent. The tent was cozy and the bed was very comfortable. It’s a gorgeous atmosphere, with flowers and friendly cats. The sound of the stream by the tent lulled us fast to sleep. It was lovely! Highly recommended!

FluffyButtRescue gives hope! We visit annually. The animals are so loved. Rae also is incredibly kind with children and takes so much time to explain everything to my daughter, let her help feed animals and educate us on their needs.
Fluffy Butt is also a sanctuary for humans! This has been a beautiful experience for my daughter and has helped her gain confidence and joy. Nothing could be better- all around.

What a great stay!! Rae was so helpful. She gave us privacy but saw we need a little help with our fire so she offered extra paper to help us. The next day she gave a wonderful tour/experience with the animals. The setting is so peaceful and tranquil. The animals are SOOOO adorable!! The rescue is also super clean.

This micro sanctuary is a wonderful place to visit. It was so great to meet the residents and to learn more about Fluffy Butt Rescue. The Bell Tent was lovely, and as a bonus we fell asleep listening to the soothing sounds of the stream outside.

I loved tent camping on Rae’s land, they were very kind hearted people bc in Jeep stopped run and they came to help use jumper cables but it turned out it was a bad intention switch😅😇 was about to fix it tho, but they helped me keep my cool and stress down, by letting me meet the animals and helping them around the animals which really kept my mind off of it which I really appreciated😅😊🙏😇. And the beautiful sunrises and sunsets with a beautiful mountain scene just gorgeous and breathtaking. And the sleeping arrangement was just perfect and what I had in mind something nice and simple but also makes u feel in touch with nature, with the noise of the stream flowing by and the animals noises really filled my mind which gave me the best sleep I ever had in the last 3 years. Also they made the trip more enjoyable and memorable by suggesting some local places that I had to see for myself, like the rocks that make different sounds with a hammer was actually pretty cool bc I had my doubts at first but it turned out it was true, they made different pitches in noises, plus their was a water fall too!😌

The love is present everywhere, from all the beautiful touches in the tent to the way they care for their animals. It is such a special experience to visit and camp at Fluffy Butt and a gift to my daughter. Very welcoming and beautiful place to visit.

My friend and I just stayed the night here for the first time and it was absolutely delightful! For 2 people who are used to backwoods camping, the Bell Tent was simply luxurious! Every little detail was thought of. We were so happy to meet all of the residents and fell in love with every one of them. Rae and her family were the sweetest hosts. We are already planning our next trip to the Bell Tent at Fluffy Butt Rescue!

Absolutely lovely! We enjoyed every minute of our stay. We were welcomed very kindly by our host and were offered a meeting with the animals in the morning. We got to pet some sweet, elderly pigs and learn about their rescues. The tent was clean and super cozy. The bed was very comfortable. It was worth every Penny for such a magical, meaningful stay. We can’t wait to visit again!!

We would 100% recommend staying here (and have already told our friends about it!). We stayed for one night with 2 kids- 7 and 10, and they can’t wait to go back either. The site is exactly as pictured and described. Bed was comfy and they had sleeping pads/bags for the kids- we all fit just fine. It was beautiful this time of year. Tons of wild flowers all around. I would definitely heed the advice in Rae’s description about the bridge and young kids.. ours were definitely old enough to cross on their own, but if I had much younger kids I wouldn’t have been as relaxed as we were! We had rain at night and the tent kept us dry.. the added sound of rain on the tent coupled with the babbling brook was delightful. Rae and her fam were incredible hosts. The animals were amazing- we got to meet them all, learn their stories, and look forward to coming back!
