Kathy’s place was the perfect little oasis away from everything but close enough to not be away from everything. My 5 year olds loved hiking to the waterfall, swimming in the wading pool, and roasting marshmallows! We’re definitely coming back. We loved our site and would totally book it again or try another on the property. Cleanest composting toilet outhouse I’ve ever seen. ZERO smell. Kathy was refilling supplies around and stopped to introduce herself. My boys say it’s their new favorite vacation!

Kathleen was a fantastic host and made the experience way better. She greeted my dad and I on site, made sure we had everything we need and gave us a run down of the land on where we could hike and what we could do. The site (Site 3) itself was fantastic, perfect spacing between sites, and was well taken care of. I personally have a tent in the back of my truck, there was plenty of room for me to park it and be right on site. Firewood price was extremely reasonable and the site had a dedicated pit and grill grate for enjoying and cooking. I would absolutely camp here again, it felt safe, welcoming, and all together a wonderful nature getaway.

It’s a loooong road in but worth it! lovely places to swim and play in and a wonderful waterfall - sweet outhouses, hiking trails - it’s remote feeling and lovely. Host Kathleen is great.

Loved staying at Kathy’s place. The land was beautiful and the waterfall was amazing! Kathy was friendly and welcoming. We had a good amount of privacy at our site while still feeling like we were amongst other friendly campers as we walked the grounds. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. We will definitely be back!

My favorite campsite as always. Site 3 has a bit of visibility from the street and from Site 4, so if you prefer more privacy, I recommend Sites 6–10. Kathleen is super nice and helpful, as always. I’ve been here many times—and of course, I’ll be back!

We recently stayed for a 2-day camping trip with a couple of friends and had a great experience! The location is beautiful, peaceful, and conveniently close — perfect for a quick getaway into nature. The camping area was clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by lovely woods that made the whole experience very relaxing. A special thanks to Kathleen, the landlady, who was not only helpful but also very friendly and great to chat with.Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy camping spot with great hospitality!

Second visit and the rain made it even more enjoyable!!!! We traversed in our Mini Cooper to site #7 and enjoyed the sound of nature and the water fall -a short distance away! We are heading back in July! :) This is truly one of the best camping we’ve ever done. Just the 2 mile drive on the gravel road gives you the feeling of an adventure of wild camping!

I absolutely love this campsite! I've stayed at several of the different sites and the majority of them feel very private while also not being far from amenities like the outhouse (which is always kept spotless), firewood, the spring tap, or the trails. Trails and campsites are clearly marked and well groomed.

Cute camper with great convenience to the beach! It is parked in a driveway in an urban environment so it's not like an isolated quiet space, but since we knew that going in found it perfect for an urban getaway!

Always working on improvements! My second glamping site "The Medieval Encampment", is available for booking starting April 1st of 2025. I will have more pictures soon. In April of 2024, my long awaited 1st Glamping site was available for booking. It's been very popular! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you. I also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the property, so it's an easy walking distance from any site. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking. There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.
