2 nights at The Queen's Property on Thomas Pond

This campsite is amazingly private. It’s a short walk down to your own little dock and it’s a great swim spot for dogs, kids, and adults. Daniel was very friendly, and very helpful and gave us a tour and a walk down to the dock. Power, water and black water dump station are all right there. It was, unsurprisingly, super buggy. The Thermacell did a great job but I swear I could see them all assembling at the boundary waiting to attack. But that’s just summer in Maine! Looking forward to a second visit in the future.

2 nights at Hussey Mountain Tree Farm

We camp at the Ridge, the view was stunning, got to enjoy blueberries and raspberries spread all around. Our two dogs loved the place too. I will recommend go the “long way” that is actually pretty much the same but easier than the crazy hike. The host was super nice and welcoming.

Weekend Trip to Sacred Nectar Sanctuary

Nick's whimsical land was the perfect location for a group of old friends getting together with our young kids to share in our love of camping with them. With numerous well-maintained tent spots, we were able to fit a large group without feeling like we were all on top of each other. The site felt private and secluded with almost no evidence of other campers nearby. The amenities, including the "Poophouse", are top notch. We had an intense storm on Friday night which got a few of us wet but in general the water drained well from the site and didn't pool around our tents.

It's our second year back at Sacred Nectar, at a different site this time. We loved site 4! Nick is a wonderful, friendly and helpful host. The land is beautiful and the sites are well designed, with just the right amount of human touches. We can't wait to check out more sites in the future. We highly recommend.

Adorable property with a bunch of cute little touches (I loved all the signs), and the little lights by everything was such a good idea and so pretty! The site was very nice, good for a few people but big enough for a large tent. At night it looked like a little fairy grotto with our camp lights. :) Would book again!

Weekend Trip to Hussey Mountain Tree Farm

Came for a weekend stay with my boyfriend and our three big dogs — we loved camping here! It was a beautiful weekend all around. Our dogs were off-leash the entire time and truly lived their best lives. Eben was the BEST host. We slept in the clouds, woke up to stunning views, snacked on the berry bushes around camp, hiked to the summit, snapped some unforgettable photos, and had an epic bonfire with a jaw-dropping overlook. Best of all? We read books and napped in the hammocks — the perfect way to enjoy the mountain breeze and escape the July sun. There’s a short (0.3 mile) hike to get to the site — it’s steep but well-maintained. We actually liked the little challenge and appreciated the workout before diving into full-on lounge mode with s’mores and snacks. We’re already planning our next trip back. Can’t wait!

Such a cool spot! The RV site is pristine and has a fantastic setup with extras like tables, string lights, sink etc that are so helpful. Eben is a great host, gave us tons of ideas of things to do on the property as well as nearby. The property is SO cool, we spent an afternoon exploring the mountain - it's clear he takes incredible care of his land, the trails are well maintained and marked, the blueberry patches were SO amazing, and we got to check out the tent sites which also had fantastic setups with lots of extras. We had a great time!

2 nights at Hussey Mountain Tree Farm

This was our 3rd time back to Hussey Mtn. Site 4 is our spot. My son and I have been able to create good memories each visit and the 3rd stay was just as good as the first two. Ebon, the property owner, is always available to answer q’s and he consistently adds nice touches to the property every year. Everything is well maintained and great attention to detail. He knows what campers need on site to be comfortable. So, chalking another trip on the board. Reserve a site and see for yourself.

Barbie has an amazing hidden gem of a campground here. We stayed during the week and the camp sites offer pretty fair privacy as far as camping at a campground. It really is very close to boon-docking which is just what we were looking for. No running water or electricity but she provides clean drinkable water and all the things you need for real tent camping such as sturdy picnic tables and tidy fire pits and she offers plenty of wood. Also the restrooms on the campground are very clean and well kept. She does a great job maintaining and improving the property, can’t wait to see how it looks next time I stay there. I would recommend anyone that like real tent camping to stay here, I would absolutely stay here again. The property and forest itself is gorgeous. Hope this review helps the business because it really is a great experience and place to camp.

At one point in the early 1900's it was home to itinerant farmers who farmed the nearby fields. Our property was the dumping grounds for the stones/rocks that were pulled from the fields. You will notice lots of them throughout the property! Our site is a well manicured area near our house on a 3-acre parcel. There is lots of sun and shade depending on when and where you happen to be on the site. There is plenty of space to pull out your favorite lawn game and a great firepit to keep warm at night. We are about 10 minutes from Clough State Park where there is plenty to do including swimming, paddling, biking, hiking, ATVing, etc. Our site has 50amp service and filtered well water (2 spigots). Megquier place as they used to call it. Built in 1775, Megquier farm was the first homestead in the town of New Gloucester. The house here is supposedly the oldest in New Gloucester. Situated on originally 60 now 30 acres of woodland, with trails of all sorts that weave through the property which is surrounded by mostly farmland and wooded terrain. The Megquier family who built the house had relations with local indigenous people trading cider from their orchard. They also were known to be rebellious towards English rule at the time and were involved in the local militia leading to the revolutionary war against English rule. Proof of which lies in some historic photos of family members dressed in militia uniform right in front of my house way back when. Furthermore, construction of the house itself violated the kings rule that no tree over two feet in diameter marked by the kings agents was to be harvested. However, the roof sheathing in the house are two feet wide at least. Interesting to review the history of mast landing in Freeport Maine, just a few miles away. More recent undocumented history of this property is just as interesting. I’m told that during the Vietnam war period, many people resided here in commune to resist the draft for that illegal war. They camped along what was once a pond here on a sunny hillside with towering Hemlock trees. Proof of which lies just under the ground such as old beer bottle and cans from that time as well as the rusted front end of an old International Harvester bus similar the one Ken Keasey and the merry pranksters drove around the US with. Pretty cool. I’m told that this place has a cool vibe to it, in the house and around the property. Hopefully I’m keeping that intact. After 7 years here I’ve created a network of trails for biking, skiing and exploring. I’ve carved out a nice high and dry hilltop camp with two 12’x12’ platforms and a composting outhouse. It’s situated on the most isolated area of the property. It’s quiet, private and gets great afternoon/evening light. Totally chill place to isolate. And mountain bike. There are approximately 7 kilometers of private bike trails to explore and more always being created. Very close to other local biking trial networks via some road sections or a quick shuttle to other trailheads. Also there’s a decent little sandy swimming hole a mile down the road. This camp is brand new this summer. I’m hoping to attract people who love mountain biking.Learn more about this land:Winter camping available. Private isolated campsite on 30 acres. Great bike trails. Wooded dry hilltop campsite with privacy and seclusion. I’ve constructed two 12’x12’ platforms at the top of the hill along with a custom built composting outhouse and huge stone fire pit. Bike down your choice of trails into my network right from the site. Park your vehicle in the field near the trailhead and hike in to the camp or bring your four wheel drive vehicle right to the site. Utility cart available. I will provide all the wood you need for a campfire. As well as a water source located at the field. Approximately 7 kilometers of trail and counting. Bring your dog so long as it is behaved. You’ll be able to bike directly from here all the way to Bradbury Mountain state park and back (about 3-4 hrs) or easily drive to multiple trail networks. Pineland Farms located 1 mile away. 15 minutes to Bradbury Mountain state park. 20 minutes to Freeport Maine and LL Bean. 30 minute drive to downtown Portland. 10 minute drive to the nearest store. You’ll be all by yourself out there but close enough to hear the road nearby. You may see people riding a bike down on the main trail but you’ll be all set on top of the camp hill. I’ve created this one awesome refined site. There’s a lot of room here and plenty of spots for primitive camping. Don’t hesitate to contact me with questions.

Established in 2004, we are an 87 acre ATFS certified Tree Farm located in the Blue Hills Range in the Foothills to NH’s White Mountains. Our Farm spans the northerly side of Hussey Mountain from the base to the summit. Over two decades ago we created our first campsite for the purpose of hosting family and friends. Folks enjoyed camping on the mountain so much they often would choose our farm over traditional campgrounds. Once you are confirmed an email is sent offering places around this beautiful town that you may visit at your leisure, including Shaker Village, Canterbury Ale works, Canterbury Woods Golf course, Hackleboro Orchards, our own Canterbury Country Store-1 mile away, Cold Garden Sprits is a new small distillery that is fascinating! If you need more city life amenities like grocery stores or restaurants, the capitol city of Concord to the south, and the town of Tilton and Laconia to the north, are a breeze to access and are less than 20 minutes away. The name wolf Swamp comes from the Pony Express Riders that carried Mail from The Canterbury Railroad Station to The Northfield Station. There were many Wolf Sitings reported on the Trail through the Swamp by The Riders, so it was named The Wolf Swamp. The Campsites are spread out over 52 Acres, lots of privacy, plenty of parking and the sites are huge. Lots of hiking in area, 5 different Swimming locations, we are in the Center of the Local Trail System. This is a 200 year old farm filled with life. There are well groomed areas and other more wild areas. We are on almost 13 acres of land that attracts all forms of natural wildlife. Each site includes a place to sit and eat (ie. picnic table), fire pit and just breathtaking views. Campers can drive into and park at their site. Each site is separate and private from other sites. We are 15 minutes from Highland Mountain Bike Park We are 15 minutes from BankNH Pavillon (concerts) We are 15 minutes from The Weirs in Laconia (Bike Week) We have two outdoor showers that are very rustic and open and the water is the temperature of the surrounding air (bring a bathing suit or something to shower in, there is no privacy fence at this time) This is an active farm that has an operating butcher shop on the premises. We have a farm store offering a variety of items for sale including eggs, honey, rubs and much more. There is a microwave available to the campers in the farm store as well. Each site will be given a bundle of fire wood on the house, additional wood is for sale. You are welcome to participate in farm work. Coffee (from a local NH roaster), tea, hot chocolate and potable water (from the faucet) will be available daily. We are a farm family with young children so large and rowdy or drinking parties are very heavily discouraged.
