This land, now known by it's view gifting fields, is one of Sandwich's top treasured gems. The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose. Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an Intentional lifestyle. One in which we hope to share our way of being that brings awareness to the natural world we have fallen so far from. Nick and his tribe of like minds are creating a holistic, educational, retreat, workshop, and event center where people can come to learn how to co-exist in a harmonious relationship with nature and each other. Established in 2004, we are an 87 acre ATFS certified Tree Farm located in the Blue Hills Range in the Foothills to NH’s White Mountains. Choose from one of four unique sites / outdoor spaces to best fit your camping needs; book a combination to reserve a section of the mountain, or book all four sites for total privacy or for events. Our Farm spans the northerly side of Hussey Mountain from the base to the summit. Guests are provided with private access to several miles of multi-use nature trails, multiple scenic lookouts, a three acre PYO blueberry maze, and a dock on our private eight acre pond with available boat rentals. At the 2WD shared parking area guests are provided with a outdoor shower with hot and cold water, a portable toilet, garden hose for washing, a power strip for charging devices, and a spigot with potable water for filling containers. Over two decades ago we created our first campsite for the purpose of hosting family and friends. Folks enjoyed camping on the mountain so much they often would choose our farm over traditional campgrounds. Hosting campers became a regular weekend event, and to accommodate more people we created three more sites spread out across the property. In 2020, we came across the Hipcamp app and started offering private reservations to the public. Since, we have been hosting campers on a daily basis and continuously improving our sites / infrastructure / views. We’re excited to see what the next two decades hold; come join us on the mountain! Things to do on the mountain SPRING-FALL include… Hiking on several miles of maintained nature trails marked with clear signage for easy day/night navigation. Relaxing/taking in the scenery from several scenic lookouts located on and around the mountain’s summit; combined they provide a 360-degree view spanning from the NH/ME Seacoast to the White Mountains of NH, to the Green Mountains of VT. The name wolf Swamp comes from the Pony Express Riders that carried Mail from The Canterbury Railroad Station to The Northfield Station. There were many Wolf Sitings reported on the Trail through the Swamp by The Riders, so it was named The Wolf Swamp. There is a beautiful hike to a mountain lookout view of an amazing panoramic of lakes and mountains including Mt Washington and Pleasant Ski mountain. From 5 Kezars rd turn right onto Kezars Ridge Drive, the last camp road before the pavement ends.) At 0.6 miles keep right onto 5 Kezar Ponds Road. Look for a GLLT sign on the right. This is the Mountain Trail. There is a second access 0.5 miles farther west on 5 Kezar Ponds Road for Ron’s Loop. Here is a link for all Lovell Land trust trails: https://www.gllt.org/five-kezars-reserve 2 Local waterfalls only 2 miles away. Drive back out to 5 Kezars road. Take a right on the paved road. It will turn back into dirt. Keep on this road until you see a beautiful stone house on your left. Keep going just up the hill and you will see a right turn into the woods where you can park. There are no signs for Kezar gorge. Hike towards the sound of the falls. There is a small cave under the falls you can climb up into if you are a strong swimmer. There is a second set of falls if you hike down the river. A most magical spot for sure. Virginia lake is in the White Mountain National forest and is only 6 miles (n a ten minute drive away) Sometimes you have to hike in a bit to get to the beach. Shallow beach is great for children and dogs. Keewayden Lake Dam is a fun place to swim in a local lake. Only and 8 minute drive Keoka lake has a nice beach with a dock to swim too. !0 minutes Covered Bridge in Bethel Screw Ager falls at Graftons Notch State park 45 min drive Ski resorts nearby are Sunday River, Mt Abrams and Pleasant Mt

We are located on a private 36 acres of mostly woodland. We abut 100 acres of conservation land and another 100 acres of private woodlands. Park at the end of the dirt portion of Farley Rd and it is a short 5 minute hike to the campsites. There is a marsh and a creek on the property that support myriad wildlife. There are owls, loons, eagles, hawks, hermit thrushes, robins, turkeys, song birds and herons. There are deer, moose, bear(don't leave your food out!), chipmunks, squirrels, opossum, raccoons(don't leave your food out!), skunks, minks, otters and many other species in our neighborhood. We live at the end of a dead end road with very little traffic. No potable water provided, bring a filter and filter fresh water while you are here. Outhouse is completed and has a separate trail off of the white blaze trail. Just before the Quiet campsite there is a trail for the outhouse on the right. Thank you!

This is a 200 year old farm filled with life. There are well groomed areas and other more wild areas. We are on almost 13 acres of land that attracts all forms of natural wildlife. In addition, we have alpacas, pigs, sheep, goats, dogs, a cat and chickens. There is a beaver pond on the lower property. Each site includes a place to sit and eat (ie. picnic table), fire pit and just breathtaking views. Campers can drive into and park at their site. Each site is separate and private from other sites. We are 15 minutes from Highland Mountain Bike Park We are 15 minutes from BankNH Pavillon (concerts) We are 15 minutes from The Weirs in Laconia (Bike Week) We have two outdoor showers that are very rustic and open and the water is the temperature of the surrounding air (bring a bathing suit or something to shower in, there is no privacy fence at this time) This is an active farm that has an operating butcher shop on the premises. We have a farm store offering a variety of items for sale including eggs, honey, rubs and much more. There is a microwave available to the campers in the farm store as well. Each site will be given a bundle of fire wood on the house, additional wood is for sale. You are welcome to participate in farm work. Coffee (from a local NH roaster), tea, hot chocolate and potable water (from the faucet) will be available daily. We are a farm family with young children so large and rowdy or drinking parties are very heavily discouraged.

Harvey’s Hill is a private hilltop campsite with 360° sky views, unbeatable stargazing, and access to our rustic Cantina featuring bathrooms, warm running water, and a basic kitchen. We are located off a busy street where cars drive a little too fast — if you have a dog that needs to be walked daily, we would recommend stopping by the beach or one of the many nearby walking trails instead of venturing down the road. Max length of vehicles is 30 feet -- we've found that any longer and the turns are too tight. 10 mins to grocery store (Hannaford) and gas stations 12 mins to local beaches (Long Sands and Short Sands) 15 mins to Portsmouth, NH 20 mins to Nubble Lighthouse 25 mins to Ogunquit, ME 35 mins to Kennebunkport, ME 45 mins to Portland, ME This is a working flower flower farm and on occasion there will need to be someone working in the field near to the campsite, often during the very early hours of the morning (5am during the spring and summer, later in the fall.) That said, we don't use tractors or any heavy machinery and we will always make our best effort to communicate this ahead of time. This is a 200 year old farm filled with life. There are well groomed areas and other more wild areas. We are on almost 13 acres of land that attracts all forms of natural wildlife. In addition, we have alpacas, pigs, sheep, goats, dogs, a cat and chickens. There is a beaver pond on the lower property. Each site includes a place to sit and eat (ie. picnic table), fire pit and just breathtaking views. Campers can drive into and park at their site. Each site is separate and private from other sites. We are 15 minutes from Highland Mountain Bike Park We are 15 minutes from BankNH Pavillon (concerts) We are 15 minutes from The Weirs in Laconia (Bike Week) We have two outdoor showers that are very rustic and open and the water is the temperature of the surrounding air (bring a bathing suit or something to shower in, there is no privacy fence at this time) This is an active farm that has an operating butcher shop on the premises. We have a farm store offering a variety of items for sale including eggs, honey, rubs and much more. There is a microwave available to the campers in the farm store as well. In the fall, my aunt Erica makes donuts down in the Milk Room, and in the winter, the hill fills with sledders racing down its snowy slope. We closed out the season, so we didn’t get to experience all of the amenities available during warmer times, but the offerings are very well built out and thoughtful (water, showers, bathroom availability, hiking and fruit picking). The campsite itself was gorgeous and very well arranged/maintained. We especially appreciated the type of grill available on the fire pit and fire poker. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Absolutely beautiful campsite along a little pond. We had some surprise visits from a couple horses, Emily and Sunny, from a neighboring farm which put a great big smile on our faces. Dwayne, the man, the myth, the legend himself brought us two very large bags of wood which we happily burned throughout the cold night. Still one of my favorite sites for its convenience and scenery. Although the highway is right next to you, after a little bit it turns into white noise and helped me sleep like a baby. Thanks again for a great stay on our final trip of the year. See you guys next year!

Incredible site with multiple pitches spread out around the land. We were lucky enough to be put on the beat site...on site 7 (despite booking the field site). What a view and great facilities. Fit pit with grill for cooking whilst watching the stars and white mountains. Camp cooking kitchen and shower near the main house. Fire wood for sale. Compost toilet at each site. The only problem was we wished we could have stayed longer! Look out for the friendly moose and check out the little boat on the pond. Fab site 10/10.

This farm/campground, perched high above the valley, offers a beautiful landscape, private and spacious sites that can accommodate many, and clean portapotties (picture signs, decorative lights, air fresheners, bug spray, hand sanitizer, etc). It is easy to see that much care and thought has gone into the entire campground’s set up. I don’t know if there’s a section about the hosts so I’ll mention it here. Elle and Duane(Dwayne?) offer the exact hospitality one looks for when welcomed to any property. There aren’t enough words to express how much we all enjoyed the weekend.

My Wife, Fur Baby, and I stayed at Eben’s land for a weekend and had an Amazing Time!!! Let me start of by saying the host Eben was wonderful!!! He met us upon arrival and was so kind and friendly and welcoming. He goes out of his way to show you how things at the site work and truly makes sure you understand how to operate everything. He had given us a map of the property and showed us everything his land had to offer and asked us what exactly what we were looking to do. Upon us answering what it was we were looking to do his made suggestions to accommodate our needs. He made suggestions around the area that were dog friendly so we would be able to accommodate our fur baby as well. Which was very thoughtful! After we were all set with everything he left us to ourselves and what a beautiful peaceful place it is. We chose the following morning to take a hike around the property and were pleasantly pleased with all the Beautiful Views his property had to offer. There’s nothing better than lying on a hammock and looking at Mountain View’s of the Fall Foliage. It truly looked like views you would see in a book or a movie. They were truly breathtaking. It was so nice to see our fur baby run free in the wilderness and soak up all the new scents. He was in heaven. This place is relaxing, peaceful, and just what we needed to disconnect from the daily hustle and bustle of Life. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to others and we will most certainly be back without a doubt.

Sunset Hill Orchard was operated as a family-managed fully operating Apple Orchard from the 1940s until 2000. The Orchard still has hundreds of apple trees and in the transition to the next generation, hosted events for many years. We have a beautifully manicured clearing with a fire pit and the second largest ash Tree in the state of NH; The New Hampshire Big Tree County Champion for Hillsboro County. We decided to shift our offering to a more community-oriented and environment-friendly area. Sunset Hill Orchard sits atop a hill with views of local hiking areas like the Uncanookic Mountains and on a clear winter day Pats Peak. We would like a tent(s) set up to find ideal spots around the manicured grass around the ash tree to maintain the area. Just like wilderness adventures, there could be poison ivy, sumac, and other uncomfortable part of nature, please always use caution.

Tiny Home And Campsite On a Farm!

There are 2 separate sites on our working horse farm! Either the tiny home or a private campsite. The campsite is a tent-only campsite (campers bring their own tents). Wander the farm and enjoy the furry faces of horses, mini cows, cats a pot belly pig and more! The site is set up with a picnic table, firepit & a portable camping toilet. There is firewood provided but we suggest you bring a firestarter of some sort. A 200+ year old farm, it is said Johnny Appleseed visited here! We have 2 glamping sites with views. Each site has a platform , canvas tent, bed, side tables, 2 chairs, fire pit, picnic table, solar bag for showers, and a portable toilet . **No linens, pillows or towels are provided. We have been raising sheep, pigs, and flowers for over 15 plus years here. It is our own little slice of heaven.

We are a Hobby farm located on a peaceful and remote 15 acres of fields and 20 acres of woods. We raise Jacob sheep and have 5 gentle Halfinger ponies as well as Chickens, dogs and cats. There are walking and horseback riding trails through the woods. Guests here can learn about raising and caring for sheep and horses. They can have horsemanship or horseback riding lessons from a CHA Certified riding instructor on site. We also offer inexpensive outdoor weddings at our beautiful gazebo in the woods.

Sweetwater is a Historical site located on 40 acres with multiple lodging options. Enjoy the serenity of our exclusive camp sites sitting on the Contookook River. Each site is different, all are on the river at the Camp area. Each site is fully off grid with solar power and are equipped with Bluetooth sound system, fridge, griddle, and heat . You can swim, fish and kayak on the " Tooky" (local name for river). We are a small farm and raise our own beef cattle. Our cows are feed all natural feed and grass. If camping isn't for you, our historical fully renovated farm house circa 1750 is a great option. Available year round , less than 1 minute drive to Pats Peak ski area.
