We are neighbors with the Boothby Orchard and Farm Winery and the Washburn - Norlands Living History Center.
Scheduling Notice:
We have blocked out 5 weekends due to scheduled local events that some campers may find disruptive to their stay. The events are Mud runs held during the day with a music (Rap/Rock/Country) concert at night. Although the venue is one mile from our campsite these events can be heard as back ground noise from the camp site. The Mud runs are scheduled on the following weekends: 6/5-7, 7/3-5, 7/31-8/2, 8/28-30, and 10/2-4. If you feel you won't be bothered by these events taking place during your stay and would like to schedule a night or weekend anyway, please send us a text through Hip Camp and we will un-block the weekend so you may book it.

Family owned property obtained through the barter system. You shingle my barn and I'll give you that property. My Pappy's land. 11 acres. Recently cleared for its timber. With some landscaping it became clear that beautiful campsites were forming. My father is 78 years old. The last thing he ever thought he would be doing with his retirement is jumping back on his excavator. Can't keep a good man down. Now here we are. Father and daughter. One day my children. 3 large tent sites and two camper sites. Future cabin and seasonal RV sites. A brook runs through the property but dries up after June. There is a small pond with rock stairs. Deer and turkey are frequently seen. Peace and serenity. This property does not offer complete seclusion. You will see other campers if all 3 sites are occupied. There is spacious distance. What this location offers is that it is centrally located to mountains, oceans, lakes,concert venues, restaurants, nightlife, shopping and antiquing. Traveling to NH and Massachusetts is a day trip. A few hours and your in central Maine. Cross the border into Canada. So much to explore or just relax. Stay a few nights or stay the season.
2023 is off to a great camping season. Already meeting new campers. Hopefully I'll see some familiar faces from 2022. A few upgrades. There is an outside water faucet, an outlet and an outside shower...hot and a privacy fence. There is a bathroom/shed that contains a toilet.
Goats are coming. Yes goats. Not until fall though. The frog pond population continues to grow. A neighboring town is finding 3 legged frogs in their ponds. Apparently caused by a parasite. Let me know if you find any.
2024 was another great season. New faces that I hope to see again. The summer weather was great for camping. A large Bell Tent and a small portable camper was purchased for those who are seeking more of a glamping experience.

2025 had some complications unfortunately. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to invite anyone to my property. Consider yourself invited for the 2026 season. I look forward to hosting new and repeat campers. There is a free weekend offer for those who would like to camp and work to prepare for Memorial Day weekend. WELCOME ALL!!

The 20-foot diameter yurt was spacious; we had plenty of room to set up our camp kitchen inside. The yurt was well-lit with electric lights, and the hand-pumped water source was close. Cliff is a great host, providing detailed information and checking for any special requirements in advance and stopping by at the beginning of our visit to answer questions.

We had a great time! Everything was as we expected if not better. David and Char took great care of us. They even took the kayaks to a lovely pond nearby for us and picked them up once we where done. Overall a great experience, highly recommend!

We loved camping on Mark and Bonnie’s land. It was the perfect getaway! Everything was so organized and all the cooking ware was labeled, which made it super easy to find things. Our pups enjoyed running the trails and exploring. We are definitely planning to come back!

My partner and I had an absolutely amazing time staying at this campsite. All the little touches are so thought out and they really provided everything we could think we need. 100% recommend the flower bouquet because they’re beautiful and now we get to hang and dry them to keep 🙂 the lower field was fun to sunbathe and relax in and has an extra fire pit with a picnic table if you wanted to make lunch or something in the field. We thought we would be eaten alive by bugs but that wasn’t the case at all, however we did bring several citronella candles( in addition to what they supplied) so that probably helped. Cell service was a lot better than expected as well! Highly recommend going to nezinscot farm while you’re here as well. We will absolutely come back to this campsite as much as we’re able to. Thank you Bonnie and Mark!

We loved it so much last year, we came back! A year later everything we loved is the same, and better. Bonnie and Mark are such a great couple - hospitable and responsive. They gave us the space we desired this trip. The camp really is a little gem perched on a hill in the forest, with all the amenities you need for a comfortable, peaceful, and fun stay! The bed in the tent is really comfortable, and the solar powered fan came in handy on a muggy night, before the breeze blew it out for picture perfect weather. The camp is shady on a hot day, yet the sun trickles through the trees beautifully. A huge bonus is the large sunny field you have to yourself for playing lawn games. The kitchen canopy offered everything you need to prepare a full meal, although we opted to use the fire pit area with optional cooking screen to cook most of our meals - a great way to slow down. We love the fragrant carpet of dried pine needles to go from space to space - it really is an experience to remember and we vow to add more days on next time. And be sure to treat yourself to a bouquet of flowers - I am enjoying camp memories here back at home. Don't hesitate to hit the BOOK NOW button - you will be happy with staying at Bonnie and Mark's!

This cabin feels rustic yet has many of the comforts of home. It was very clean and the pictures accurately represent the space. My wife and I stayed for two nights and really appreciated the washer and dryer after tent camping for several days. The keurig coffee maker and nice selection of coffees was really nice, too. The spiral staircase is pretty tight leading up to the bed in the loft, but the bed is comfortable and the fan made for nice sleeping. Lots of great hiking close by, too. We'd definitely stay again.

We stayed at the yurt and found it comfortable and enjoyable. It's essentially a very large tent, but it stayed cool with no humidity, and the ventilation was great. The host was very helpful and made the check-in process easy.
If you're looking for a very quiet experience, you might want to check whether the nearby units are occupied, as that can affect the level of noise.
Our shower wasn’t working, so we had to use the shower in another unit. Despite that, it was a good overall experience. It's definitely worth visiting Long Pong for a swim, just be sure to bring water shoes.

This was such an amazing place to stay! It is very private and very spacious, which was perfect for me and my dogs. It allowed us to enjoy the space without being right next to others, which sometimes makes my dogs a bit anxious. There were a lot of storms while we were there but the site has lots of trees so we stayed fairly dry and there is also a screen house where we could go to hang out while it was raining or to get away from bugs for a bit. The hosts were so nice and very responsive, and have really added so much to this site to make it feel like a home away from home. I can’t wait to come back again and I highly recommend to anybody who is staying in the area.

It’s a great experience! Cliff is so knowledgeable about setting up camp fires, mountain biking, kayaking, and he is a great local guide. Yurt is cozy with the firewood heat. We cooked with a fire pit. The hot tub is awesome! Upon arrival, host greeted us with homegrew strawberries and well water. Host designed the entire cabin and facilities around it. It is nice to hear about his life time stories. Very impressive.
