**Because of extreme fire risk in our area we ask guests to refrain from having campfires for now. As this area is home to beautiful wildlife (and a few other distant homeowners) please visit with an intent to respect the quiet and privacy that makes this area so pleasurable for us all. Today, the farm is looking forward to a new course in agri tourism as we begin planning walking gardens, art installations in the landscape, and interactive classes.

Tiny home nestled in Tahoe National forest . This little gem is on an acre of land surrounded by national forest land. Close enough to Lake Tahoe but away from the chaos.
Host lives on property with 4 year old German shepherd. I typically leave for the weekend, however i will probably be there if booking during the week (Ill be gone most of the day though) . There are 4 neighbors but their properties are not visible, feels very private. Please be respectful of the neighbors property, they all have cameras :)
The front of the property where the cabin is located there will be some highway noise being close to highway 20 , especially during a busy weekend.
Tiny house:
•Full sized futon downstairs, no bedding provided please bring your own if planning on using the futon.
• King sized mattress in loft. Bedding provided but please try to bring your own!!
• board games , cards, chess, fire pit, projector for movies if requested!!!

Welcome to Sugarpine Slopes. The Sugarpine has the longest cones in the world and many birds and mammals like the pine nuts and use the tree for habitat. This is a spring through fall place only. There is no winter access. The property is at 5800 feet. Depending on the weather the road may close from Nov 15th to May 15th.
The road on the property is a dirt road. All wheel drive or 4WD vehicles recommended although the lower section could be accessed by most vehicles. Shorter trailers allowed at Site A. Site 3 can also accommodate a small teardrop-style trailer
The property is totally undeveloped at this time. It is a wildlife corridor for deer and bear (keep all food contained), the mountain quail and the blue grouse. Keep your eyes open for the Hermit Warbler, Audubon's Warbler, and our gorgeous visitor from the tropics the Western Tanager. You are likely to hear the Pileated Woodpecker and if you are lucky you will see it and its red crest in an undulating flight through the trees. The property has a lovely west facing slope which climbs gradually at first then more steeply to the top of the property. We have drive-in camping on the lower section. There is one walk-in site at the top of the property.
There is wonderful hiking nearby with several trailheads in the area within approximately 4 miles.

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying here! The property is beautiful, incredibly comfortable, and Tod and Amy have taken the time to make the space very peaceful. The accommodations were spotless, and they provided everything we could possibly need for a perfect getaway. Tod and Amy are really welcoming and even shared some delicious treats with us. Their dogs, Blizzard and Stella, were also so sweet.
We loved walking the property with our own dog and really enjoyed learning more about the bees, visiting the greenhouses, and saying hi to the chickens.
The location is a huge plus! You are completely out in nature with all the privacy, and yet it is an easy 15 to 20 minute drive to Downtown Truckee. From there, we easily explored the area for rafting, hiking, Donner Lake, and Lake Tahoe. Everything is a very convenient drive away. Highly recommend staying here!

We love this spot! Incredible view, super private, easy access to the water with an easy, short and steep hike back up to the camp spot. We were there over the 4th of July, and it was still quiet and mellow. Lots of boats on the water but still peaceful at our site. We could even see the fireworks in Virginia City! (25mi away) We towed our 24ft travel trailer to he spot with a 4x4 Toyota Tundra and didn't have any issues. There's a couple steep spots on the drive in, and a 24ft trailer is pretty close to max length that I'd want to tow up to the campsite. Again, no issues at all for us getting up there. Fantastic spot!

Such a great place to get away from the world without being that far from it! Fun little cabin that's well stocked and still has all the creature comforts. It provided me the perfect balance of a "camping" feel but with the necessities for the folks in my party that aren't great campers. We came in the summer but this is one of those places that I'd love to be hunkered down in during a big Truckee snow storm.

My three young boys, our dog, and I just got back from a truly unforgettable trip! This spot is an absolute gem, nestled in a really pretty valley that feels secluded and peaceful. It’s an incredible spot that you simply cannot miss.
We had an amazing time playing in the creek, and the boys spent hours splashing around, racing their homemade boats, and playing hide-and-go seek in the surrounding woods. There are great hiking trails right nearby that were perfect for exploring together. In the evenings, we had the best time cooking dinner in the well-appointed cabin, and of course, roasting marshmallows under the stars. It's really nice having the option to either camp outside in a tent, or enjoy the comfortable and cozy cabin. The boys are already asking when we can go back.
This was the perfect escape. If you’re looking for a beautiful and family-friendly outdoor adventure, this is it!

We had such a fun and adventurous time at the cabin! My family loved climbing in the loft and exploring the rocks and nature around. There is a road nearby but it's barely noticeable and being able to get on the road quickly made a trip to the grocery store easier.
