Attractions: Walking distance to forestry service roads. 15 minutes to the Missoula Airport and an additional 10 minutes to the heart of Missoula and all it has to offer. If you are looking for more adventure there is always an endless amount of recreation near, whether you want to drive 5 minutes to mountain bike or 3 hours to Glacier National Park, there is something for everyone! Primitive camping with no water or trash service, pack in / pack out. There is a portable toilet. Note, work has begun on the nearby highway bridge.
Located in the Alberton Gorge on the Clark Fork River, this is a premier location for the whitewater enthusiast. Take advantage of the class II, III rapids in your kayak or raft, or even surf. Alternatively, enjoy the relaxing Sandy Beach just a few minutes walk from the campground to swim and gaze at the beautiful argilite cliffs. The campground is near both the Interstate and a railroad so there is some ambient noise.
Note: we have cameras on the surf shack (container) that can see the entrance and the portable toilet area. We're happy to share the images with anyone concerned.

Drive-in, park, and begin enjoying all the crazy, fun, or just relaxing things you want out of your private lakefront property. You're on the shores of Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake, this side of the Mississippi, and home of Wildhorse Island, where the Boone and Crocket world record Bighorn Sheep was discovered, killed by winter weather.
This 2160 acre island is also the home of deer, mountain lions, bears, several species of eagles, and wild horses. Day hiking is allowed and is a 5-minute boat ride from your beach spot. Just slightly over an hour to Glacier National Park and access to all the mountain lakes, rivers and streams to explore, you won't be bored. Right around the corner, you have access to a boat ramp at one of the state-owned Parks with public showers, if the lake water is too cold. Located next to the beautiful Mission Mountain range, on a well kept 10 acres we had the most peaceful camping experience! Our host was very helpful. We enjoyed the yearling cows and Roy the friendly horse that came by to check us out. We’d love to come again some day! Thank you so much!

We were the only ones there on a late September evening. The campground was incredibly peaceful. The bathrooms were spotlessly clean and the hot water enormously welcome. The check-in instructions complete with how to turn on the water and water heater were excellent. Our host was responsive throughout the reservation and stay process.

GORGEOUS views!! Quiet. (Only one other camper there). Campsites are nicely spaced apart. Finding the place is a challenge. Don't use WAZE for directions! Use Google maps and type in Primrose Meadows. We would stay again and we recommend. Train was not to bothersome for us.

First, if you plan to stay here I strongly suggest taking the Sierra Silver Mine Tour BEFORE arriving at the property. It is fascinating, and will hopefully deepen your appreciation of the area.
Second, when you get to the property have a chat with Lisa and learn a bit of the history. Lisa owns several hundred feet of land along the road, and just across and up the road (in addition to the creek) is the most amazing abandoned mine.
The entire little canyon was a thriving mining operation at one point, which made the site super intriguing for my friend and me.
Overall the privacy was OK. This is a multi-site camp. We had site #2 and backed in, making it feel more private. Otherwise, the amenities were really nice; and you can tell Lisa goes that extra mile to make her site engaging and fun: fire pit, rock painting, horse shoes, corn hole, a shed with some additional activities and games, grills, etc.
Everything was nice and well kept. We are glad we had the opportunity to stay there. A long walk up the mountain road in itself made this site worth it.

Molly and Michael run an amazing site. The family was very warm and welcoming, and the site was even better than described. We had ample fire wood for the fire pit, enjoyed the grill, and spent plenty of time enjoying the views. As a bonus, we got regular visits from their lab, Lou.
I highly recommend for friends, couples or families.

Geoff was a very helpful and gracious host,. introducing me to all the animals and making sure I received the best farm-Hipcamp experience. I loved the shower camper and the thoughtful amenities such as towels and extra blankets. It was my second visit & I'd definitely stay again!

Conveniently located off the highway. Spectacular views. Great pad for RV parking. Porta potty was clean and conveniently located. We slept well, but light sleepers should be aware that there was some noise from trains during the night. We enjoyed the dogs, as well as touring the flower gardens.

I was needing some peace and quiet and I found it on Fox Lane! The mountains all around are completely covered in trees and it’s beautiful!! The night sky is spectacular with the Milky Way right above! It’s so nice to have such privacy while camping. My dogs had plenty of space. My travel trailer was almost completely level side to side right by the water and electric hook ups. I checked out the areas to camp in Thompson Falls and Trout Creek. I would choose Fox Lane every time! The other places were beautiful as well, but you don’t have the privacy. Jeff is super easy to communicate with. He make sure everything is good for you and makes it clear if that if you need anything to contact him. There were other perks, but I will let you find those out for yourself.
