The lodge is open 7a-11a and 5p-8p Tuesday thru Saturday. On site staff may be reached thru Hipcamp messaging.
Rich with wildlife you can see deer, moose, ducks, beavers, various bird species, as well as hummingbirds that are here to welcome you.
Even the occasional bear or moose sighting.
The sunset and sunrises are breathtaking.
We invite you to come and explore Glacier's pristine forests, alpine meadows, rugged mountains, and spectacular lakes. With over 700 miles of trails, Glacier National Park is a paradise for adventurous visitors seeking wilderness and solitude. It's a real home away from home Glacier Base Camp.
The property is privately owned, and management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, and will not be responsible for accidents or injury to guest or for loss of money, jewelry or valuables of any kind.
We are in bear and wildlife country. Be aware, store food items away from tents, keep sites free from debris. Extinguish camp fires when not in use.

We live on 10 acres of mixed forest and field. In the summer we have an active blacksmithing school and flower farm here. The idea of a sustainable, self reliant lifestyle has always been part of our life and passing it down to others is a joy for us. We sustainably manage our food and forest to be the best stewards we can for our environment and our neighbors.
Our Cabin and structures were built primarily of materials that were recycled or milled on site. which makes them warm and inviting. The Cabin is located close to our shop which houses an active blacksmithing school in the summer months where the rest of the structures are separate and in an area tucked away on the edge of the woods.
Jeffrey and Betsy work to make your stay as welcoming as possible. Please note there are no pets as the wildlife could be disturbed..both human and otherwise, thanks. We maintain a small orchard of fruit trees, a garden which feeds us year round and a small flower farm on the property. Avid skiers, bikers, paddlers and hikers, offering the property for others to enjoy was a conscious decision made when planning all of our infrastructure. Come and enjoy all the beautiful Flathead Valley has to offer.

We are small town Kansas natives who fell in love with Montana over 15 years ago. This property is equal parts privacy and concience, you can enjoy the peace and quite of nature while also having the ability to hop over a few miles to our little town for groceries, a local beer, or to gas up your car!
The Holmestead is a rustic dry cabin on 5 acres nestled between Mill Creek and a seasonal run off stream with easy access to the highway and only a 10 min drive to Missoula. A queen bed, futon and air mattress are available for sleeping!
Family and pet friendly property with plenty of space to pitch a tent next to the cabin if you have more guests in your party (tents will be an additional fee, $10 per person in addition to the 4 person cabin max). Excellent cell service if you have Verizon or carriers that pull from those towers.
Attractions: Walking distance to forestry service roads. 15 minutes to the Missoula Airport and an additional 10 minutes to the heart of Missoula and all it has to offer. If you are looking for more adventure there is always an endless amount of recreation near, whether you want to drive 5 minutes to mountain bike or 3 hours to Glacier National Park, there is something for everyone! If you have questions about fun things to do please reach out to us!
Parking: Reserved parking for guests in the main driveway or in the clearing near the cabin.
Water: Portable toilet onsite, sealson warm shower and sink also available, we recently upgraded to a JOOLCA hot water system so guests can have running water and a warm outdoor shower. We provide 5 gal of potable water in the colder months and have running water nearby for easy refill of water containers if needed in the warmer months.

If you are looking for quietude, this is your spot! Twenty acres situated minutes from lakes, rivers and US Forest Service land. Partly forested and partly pasture land, we boast Aspen, Fir, Spruce and Pine trees. Wildlife that commonly pass through include coyote, elk, deer and badger. Lots of bird life from woodpeckers and blue jays to eagles and owls. Fuel, groceries and river access available a short fifteen minute drive away.
Lake access is only twenty minutes to the closest, Murphy Lake. Half a dozen other lakes within a thirty minute range. We have a campfire ring set up at your RV/Camp site and camp wood is available. You have fresh, potable water on site as well as electric hook-up. No RV dump available.
We welcome campers with pets at the campground/RV site! Since we do have neighbors and wildlife, we require pets to be leashed when not secured in our fenced area. We are located outside of the range of cell service when on-site however we do have wifi available at the host cabin.

We live on ten acres tucked in the pines at the foot of the Sapphire mountains with views west of the broad Bitterroot Valley and the stunning Bitterroot Mountains. Only a mile behind our house is a state wildlife management area and beyond that National Forest and then the Welcome Creek Wilderness. We have a greenhouse and garden on site but our major vegetable growing operation is down in the valley. Lots of wildlife travel through our lot, including a number of owls. In our first five years here we have seen five different owl species, which gives the cabin its name! We have two resident cats and a blue heeler, along with chickens who free roam and you will likely meet.

Geof was so kind and helpful, we got to his property at midnight after our friends wedding, and he came out and helped show us where we were staying. His land is beautiful and all the animals were so friendly and super cool to see!
Definitely would recommend staying here if you just need a calm, safe place to crash for the night :)

My daughter and I spent the very last night of our 2 week Montana road trip at this amazing place. We actually had already been to the property on our 2nd night of the trip when we stayed in the glamping tent,which we absolutely loved and highly recommend. Even though the cabin is just about perfect,we preferred the tent site because it's completely private,whereas at the cabin,the very cool property owners are within direct sight of you. Not a big issue. Just something to note. The property is big and beautiful. We spent a lot of time at the main creek. So fun! We just love this place! And the cabin is awesome and adorable.

We had such a stellar time out at the cabin! It felt like we had our own little village with our own stream and everything. Plus, super close to the north entrance of Yellowstone, which made it great for a day trip. Town isn’t too far away either, but you definitely feel like you’re out in the middle of nowhere in a good way. We were there in July and the wildflowers were stunning. The cabin was all set up for all of our needs. We would definitely recommend!

Staying at the A-frame was the best part of our 2 week honeymoon (so far). It is incredibly quiet and peaceful. You can hike up some of the surrounding hills/mountains and get a great view of the Missouri River. The A-frame itself was amazing and very cozy. The hosts made sure to have some necessities available for use. The outhouse and shower were awesome and very clean. Would recommend this spot to anyone, and we would love to come back ourselves.

We had a great time! Unfortunately it was raining the whole time we were there so we didn’t get the full experience although the little cabin was adorable and perfect! The area around the camp site was very pretty and had plenty of space! Directions were very clear as to how to get to it. Overall loved the site, and I’d love to book again when it’s less raining!

This place was awesome! Super clean cabin w wood burning stove, and propane two burner stovetops and grill which will allow you to cook anything you need. They have the cooking equipment too.
Very secluded and directly next to the creek. I went with my daughter and we had a fantastic time. Wished we’d have stayed for another night. It would accommodate a larger group easily, especially if you’d rent both log cabins.
This is a great spot to do a layover day or two while visiting Yellowstone. We used it as a Basecamp for full days spent inside the park, but it would have been fun to just chill at the property too.
They provide cots with nice fresh sleeping bags for sleeping. Very comfortable ~ glamping at its finest. We did bring a solar shower and heated up water to clean up. That is the one thing to keep in mind~ it was no problem for us.
All in all, it was the most fun and unique stay of our trip through Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Glacier National Parks.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Geoff and Heidi were kind, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about sharing their little slice of paradise.
The A-frame was super cute and comfy, and falling asleep to the sound of the creek was so relaxing. One of our favorite parts was meeting all the animals! Special mention to Curly the pig and all of their lovely dogs.

This experience was amazing and Geof was a top-notch host! If you want views and lots of animals with a comfortable camping this site is it! The camping setup was the perfect level of rustic with comfort. The shower was so nice to have and the A-frame was super comfortable, plus it added a layer of safety from bears....yes bears. We stayed there 2 nights and saw black bears both days, such a cool experience! (spoilers) Cows, goats, donkeys, dogs, and pigs were all so friendly. And the views were breathtaking, with the cows it felt like we were in the swiss alps. Learning about the reservation culture and history from Geof was such a neat surprise. It is always fun to learn about culture of the area we were visiting and Geof definitely provided that. I can't say enough good things about this campsite, highly recommend. Thanks Geof!

Great site and we fit 2 cars, an 8 person tent and an additional 3 person tent for a party of 5 very easily. One slept in the bunkhouse on the comfy futon. We saw 2 bears and talked to them till they left, super chill couple and quiet neighbors. We locked food garbage in cars at night. Great hiking/fire trails to explore and find wild mushrooms and wildflowers. There are edible boletes and russulas, and some non edible agaricus around. Fire pit is great and has benches. The outhouse is clean and has trash bags and a set up for disposable waste bags or wag bags from walmart(maybe someone else left them, not the host) and litter bottles. We will be back for another concert stay, and will recommend it to anyone!

1 night at Ridgeline Retreat
The area was really nice. It is overlooking the city of Missoula. I love that they put a small cabin in there with a sofa bed. The foam of the sofa bed was uneven. I think it would be more comfortable if only one person were sleeping in there. Other than that, I enjoyed staying there and would recommend it to other people.

1 night at Ridgeline Retreat
Between the mapping and the directions given, it was easy to get to. I was on a cross country trip and got in at just about midnight on a rainy night, but still had no problem finding it. Nice and private, perfect for my dogs to run around while I set up camp in my truck. About 12 minutes from the freeway, I enjoyed driving just enough off the main road to get to some seclusion.
