My partner and I had a fantastic experience at this little retreat. The campfire area is cute and well maintained, there was decent star gazing, and the cabin itself is well maintained and very pleasant. We didn't use the shower device at all so I can't speak to that, but otherwise everything was lovely for our little stay as we attended zootown music fest. Corey was also super responsive, had great directions, and I couldn't have asked for a smoother experience.

Nice spot! Quiet and easy to get to. Communication was easy with Corey. We had a fox steal a pair of shoes so just make sure all your stuff is inside your tent or trailer each night.

Camp Triple Jay: Not worth the cost

The whole site is small, built on a road pull off. The land is steep around the site making wandering up the ridge the only option. There is one tent spot set up with a sand base. Out three person tent fit well on it. Their is a table made out of cement. There is an outhouse with a sign that says "LATRINE USE - Install Wag-Bag - Bag up Wag and take with you - Liquids in Latrine is bad form - Pee in the woods ... you are camping". The whole area is smaller than my living room. I would be very packed with six people at the site.

The cabin was rustic and comfortable!!

We spent a pleasant two nights at this private, solo, mountain spot overlooking Missoula. Corey was a good host, and the spot was clean and as advertised. It was very difficult to find even for us locals, but that can be easily corrected by better directions and more visible signage. For out-of-Staters wanting to have a Montana experience, the price is probably on point. I think it is pricy for no hookups and a poop-in-a-bag outhouse (it was nice though). Highlight was a beautiful red fox that trotted by, three feet from me, in the peaceful early morning.
As for directions, the main road up the mountain is easy to find, but the turnoff onto Corey's land is not. There is a sign with the number, but it is high up on a tree, obscured by branches from the road. Once you find that, the turn off to the site is marked by a very small (5" x5") metal sign with faded sharpie markings. Totally missed it and turning around is not easy. I can't remember if Hipcamp lets me post photos, but if so, I will show where to turn and it will be much easier to find.

This site was great. The views are amazing, it has a great fire pit set up. You can walk around up some trails just for fun. It felt private and away from everyone. We had a great weekend of laying around doing nothing but relaxing under the stars. We got a little lost getting there but the host helped us find our way. We also assumed when it said toilet available it was a port a potty or something similar but it is just an out house with bags for poo and pee in the woods :) complete fine, but wish we would have known going in. We had a great time and hope to go back!

Such a great spot!! We had awesome views of the northern lights and loved the peace and quiet. Corey was super friendly and communicative, and the whole stay was just fantastic. I'll definitely be back!

We loved camping on Corey’s land! The fire pit was a very nice feature. There was plenty of firewood and a simple yet clean outhouse. Besides for a little daytime traffic, it was super quiet. We were able to easily fit 2 tents with enough room for 2 cars. I definitely recommend the site for anyone who wants to get away from the city.

So beautiful! The cabin is a tight fit with the bed laid out, but it's clean and comfy. The site has plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the views of the valley & walking trails. The road in is nicely maintained and easy to reach. A few minor repairs to the screen door on the cabin; and the broken window and sticky door handle on the outhouse, would made it great. The outdoor shower wasn't set up, so having that ready would also be good. We were there during fire season, so no fires for us, but there is an awesome firepit area. If you are looking for an outdoor experience this is the place!

This Camp Triple Jay Hipcamp is a special place for certain! If you prefer a quiet, private “room with a view” at the end of the road and amidst the forest this is for you! I loved the charm and quality of the wag-bag outhouse! The hike up for the broader view was maybe 50 yards. Hiking down the road is also an option. Traffic below on the gravel road is far enough away to just hear the passing of a car and close enough to not feel that you’re camping in the middle of nowhere. Houses within a reasonable distance but not within view. Traveling solo this was a comfort to me for safety. The fire pit area was welcoming, had a supply of wood available, and was well maintained. I’d stay here again for certain!

This is a great remote camping spot that is still close to town (Missoula) if you need supplies or want to do some activities. There is a bbq and great kitchen set up. The fire pit was supplied with wood. Hosts were super nice and helpful and also gave us plenty of privacy.

I enjoyed the calm secluded location of the cute lit rustic cabin. Corey was great at making sure sight was ready for us and even had few lit extras that made the camp site complete. Thanks for the solar lamp. Saved me tripping in the way to the bathroom at night.

We were visiting our son in Missoula and it was a quick 20min drive to this camp in our 16' Ram van. Great location in the woods although we didn't have much of a view off into the distance, but that was no issue. Finding a flat spot that wasn't the tent pad was a little tricky but we managed.
Our puppy loved exploring off leash which was possible because we were quite alone. We enjoyed eating our meals by the fireplace with the wood Corey generously provided. The "bag toilet" was fine for us and we just disposed of the bag in a trash can at the bottom of the hill.
We would definitely return the next time we're in Missoula.

Great private spot! Close to town but feels like your out in the sticks. Well thought out spot with very nice touches from the owners with wood/kindling/fire starter/water to put the fire out. Cool hand-built outhouse that makes things a little more “civil” during your stay. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

This site was pretty private and isolated off of Snowbowl Rd but still relatively close by to owner's personal property. I'm not sure I would camp solo there again, but that's my personal preference. The outhouse was very clean, with hand sanitizer, sand, and extra bags for the toilet. The campfire area was awesome, with logs as seats. I easily started a fire with nearby brush. Very beautiful views of the 🌲 line.

I e been tent camping for decades and this one of the nicest places I’ve stayed. Although close to town, the campsite is up a mountain road, with stunning views. Sunsets are especially spectacular. Corey has created a private, restful site with the necessary amenities. It has an outhouse!! A wonderful place and a wonderful host. Looking forward to returning. A definite must .

Loved this little spot. Feels very private and secluded from any neighbors. Futon made for super comfortable nights of sleep. Corey provided water and even had a set up for an outdoor shower. Site has plenty of spots to sit and relax. I’d come stay here again.

If you’re a person who’s looking for a no frills glamping experience tucked away from the city, yet still very close to Missoula, BanCor Hideaway is your jam. Corey is super chill, the view is nice, the bed is comfy, and it’s secluded. There’s an axe throw setup there too, such a bonus.
