We have five campsites in 135 acres of acres of forest and ranch land in our working cattle and sheep ranch. Located in a serene valley in the Ozark Highlands, the Ranch has Sheep, Scottish Highland Cattle, Chickens, Ducks and Great Pyrenees livestock guard dogs (only in the sheep pastures - and they are friendly). If you want to meet our animals and see the farm we are happy to show you around!
This is a unique site located in the Ozark Highlands. Only 45 minutes from Cape Girardeau (a small river town on the Mississippi), and 45 minutes from the Arcadia Valley including Taum Sauk mountain (the highest point in Missouri), Elephant Rocks, the Johnston Shutins, and other beautiful areas in the highlands.
The farm is five minutes from Marble Hill, which is home to the Bollinger County Natural History museum which highlights the only dinosaur bones found in Missouri. The bones were found at a farm in Glennallen (a few minutes from our farm) as well as a great barbeque (Jay’s Restaurant) and a good catfish restaurant (Jers Restaurant). On the way to our farm, feel free to stop at the 1,700 foot deep artesian well to get a cool, refreshing jug of natural artesian well water – the water is free, but you have to bring your own containers!
We are two and a half hours southwest of St. Louis, and two and half hours northwest of Memphis.

We are located just west of the Ironton Water Works Plant and the Shepherd Mountain Lake dam. Turn right after the dam, drive through Shepherd Mountain Lake Park. If our "campground guests only" gate if it is closed, and please close gate behind you. Thank you!

You'll have a private place of your own, with access to some of Missouri states most hidden springs, rivers, waterfalls, fishing, hunting, hiking, (some of the best) horseback riding trails, and historic landmarks. Rather you're after solitude or sport, this area has you covered. Kayak, canoe, and shuttle rental, service is available at hufstedlers.com and is a short 11.5 mile drive. Beautiful eleven point river offers blue, red, and white ribbon, spring fed trout/walleye water. If you're looking to float the river, be sure to research the many springs on the way down your trip and the historic mill communities that once flourished there. These are perfect opportunities to take a break, eat a meal, and explore the area. Most also will have public bathrooms. Unless there are multiple reservations, you will be allowed to hookup/stay at whichever site is the easiest for you to get parked at. We really enjoyed camping at Cheryl and Mike's property! They were wonderful hosts and provided us with all the firewood we would need for our stay and even gifted us a dozen eggs from their chickens!! It was very private and quiet with beautiful forests all around. We explored Elephant Rocks, Johnson's Shut Ins and Taum Sauk Mountain. The surrounding towns of Arcadia and Ironton are very nice too. I would highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a quiet, secluded camping spot!!

Darrell and Jeanna were excellent hosts; they were friendly and helpful while also being mindful of the importance of the solitude needed to thoroughly enjoy their beautiful property. We will definitely go back for another visit (or more).
This visit was towards the end of November, so the shower and privy were welcome comforts in the brisk weather, though also invigorating. Fireside relaxation was the primary activity as we watched an impressive variety of birds by the pond. With the lack of light pollution, the stargazing opportunities were a treat. We hope to be back for the wine harvest next year!

We had a great time camping on Teresa's land. It has all the hookups you need and more! Very peaceful remote area, but still close enough to Van Buren that fetching any forgotten supplies is a breeze. She was also very kind, suggesting locations, offering advise, and even getting us some extra fire wood. One thing of note is to not listen to your GPS when arriving and actually read Teresa's email with detailed directions. Lol Otherwise you end up down her neighbor's driveway and look like an idiot. 😂

This full hook-up site was perfect in every way! It is so peaceful and in a pretty setting. We spent a week and enjoyed each day. Teresa is a wonderful host and a very kind person. If we come back to this beautiful area in the future, we will definitely want to stay here again. We highly recommend this campground.

it is probably a great site to camp on.
i never got the chance, i called left message that i had broken down along the way and needed to cancel. i think i tried to email them as well, but my cell service was intermittent from where i was at. i requested a refund as i couldn’t make the stay. left my info, and number/site.
never heard back from them. so i ended up wasting $175 (three nights-weekend). i still haven’t heard much from them.

Arcadia Valley Outdoors was the best camping experience I’ve had! It was so easy to enter the campground and find our site, Old Country. Old Country was secluded from the other sites, which we LOVED! It was good to know we had neighbors nearby, but good we had our own space. Old Country was very clean and it was plenty of space for all our camping needs! It was so perfect :) We will be coming back!

Teresa was a great host! She sent me very clear directions to her land before we arrived. When we got there, she welcomed us and told us the best restaurants in the area and sites to see and answered any questions we had. She offered free firewood. Her land was right off the main highway, but had minimal traffic noise. It was just a few miles away from big Spring, a must see!

Me and my girlfriends had an amazing trip at Arcadia Vally! We were worried about the campsites being too close but we were not interrupted by any of the other noise. To anyone staying, I highly recommend this campsite over the others in the area! Lots of room for a big tent and even trees very suitable for a hammock. One thing I would like to mention, the road is gravel on the way to the campsite. Be aware if your vehicle is not suitable on rougher terrain.

Very nice owner. The spots had plenty of room and were well laid out. I did have to use my mascerator pump to dump the tanks due to the sewer connection being uphill from our tank hook-ups. If your tank hook-ups were at the rear of your RV this would not be an issue but ours are forward of the axles. The park is in a good and quiet location.
