Earn this patch by being the first to spend a night outside at a new Hipcamp.
We are a hippie intentional community that's bordering Mark Twain National park and we've got some space for you to throw your tent down! This is a magical rustic and wild place that's totally off grid and family focused. Pine trees, mushrooms, fresh air and birds are an overload here. On top of a partly level spot you can pitch your tent on, you are free to use our shared community kitchen with coffee and tea in it including some snacks, a bonfire area, compost toilet and fresh spring water :) The perfect place to bug out and get away from it all! Not for the faint hearted as this is 3 miles up a mountain dirt road and totally off grid!!! No wifi, no power, get away from all society and allow your body to reset completely with fresh mountain air and zero pollutants or noise. We are a small forest intentional community and we allow some to come and experience our little off grid haven. You will have a selection of spots to set up your tent as well as plenty of chairs, hammocks and relaxation nooks. There are plenty of walking paths for you to hike and enjoy the woods, a small creek you can walk to to dip your feet in, and a large 12 mile creek that's 2 miles away where you can definitely swim! This is all about DISCONNECTING from the society matrix and connecting to nature.

Dancing Rabbit worth a visit
Off grid treehouse in an ecovillage
Although unfinished, it was comfortable, quaint and full of personality. Perfect night for 3 of us to unplug. Played monopoly by lantern light. The village itself was worth the visit! Would definitely recommend. It is quite a walk from the parking area with all belongings and cooler of food. A cart or wagon would make it much easier as we needed to make 2 trips. Arune was a great host and a lovely person!

Off grid treehouse in an ecovillage
This treehouse is a tranquil place to reset and reconnect. The host, Arune, was amazing - she worked with us on our arrival time to meet us as soon as we pulled into the property. She showed us around the eco-village and the treehouse and was very friendly! The treehouse’s deck and the pond were great places to watch the sunset. There were snacks, books, games, and a very comfy bed to make for a great nights rest. We absolutely loved the off-the-grid escape and we definitely suggest going for a dip in the pond! Thanks so much Arune for sharing your dream house with us!

Quiet peaceful location. Other people around but everyone respected each other’s privacy. Bed was incredibly comfortable. Very relaxing to be off grid for awhile. Entire area is quite lovely

Wonderful, Unique and Soul-Filling
Off grid treehouse in an ecovillage
This treehouse is gorgeous and well stocked. Arune's care is evident. The kitchen had more snacks and food items than I expected. She was prepared for guests in many ways- extra towels, blankets and anti-itch creams (you will likely pick up some bug bites). The village, forest, community and pond are inviting and unique. The weekend gave me opportunity for solitude, meeting others, relaxing, etc... When it's hot I took refuge in the pond or in the hammock below the treehouse. I enjoyed the furry visitors that came by (dog, duck with her ducklings, etc...). I will return for sure. This is a magical place.

A once in a lifetime experience
Off grid treehouse in an ecovillage
Oh my gosh! Aruné thought of everything and really makes this place feel like a home. I could've stayed forever. The bed was comfy, the breeze divine, and the scenery gorgeous. I feel lucky to have stayed here. Aruné showed me around a bit and made me feel comfortable with the property.

The perfect escape

I wish I could use words to express the time I had at this listing but I would fail. It is truly something you have to experience, the treehouse totally exceeded my expectations, I loved it so much I extended my stay! Everything you could possibly need was already inside the treehouse stove, tea kettle, refrigerator, and cooking utensils. I was invited to have lunch with members of the community and everyone kind and welcoming. I enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking on the pound. I will definitely be a regular at this location, I definitely recommend!
