Love this place. Great property and amenities. David is really a great guy. Plenty of room. Other campers were super friendly. Dave has a barn he’s converted into a communal space. Great to play ping pong, number pool or just chill and read. My only regret is that I had to leave to get to my next destination.

My family loved tent camping on David's land! The barn is beautiful and super fun. We had a bonfire and enjoyed the stars, owls and bats! David has everything you would ever need ready for guests and is super welcoming! The porta potty's are clean and close. Super kid friendly, easy to find and just really nice owner and land. Also close to some of the trolls!

We camped with a small camper parked along a line of trees. The place was beautiful, quiet and located on the base of Detroit Mountain where there were many hiking & biking trails. David was an incredible & welcoming host. The barn was magical with mood lights and comfortable places to relax and socialize. I would camp there again.

David's land is beautiful-we used the tent area, but the areas for campers and the already set up "teepee" tent were also super nice. He was also such an amazing host, and very accommodating. We also got to meet Juju, and a couple other people staying there who were also very sweet. We didn't think we would use the barn much, but they did an amazing job restoring it, and it was so comfy. We played a lot of table tennis 😂 I give it a 10/10 and we would love to come back some time. Thank you David!!!

We loved camping at Tumbleweed Camp. The location is away from road sounds, David is such a nice and welcoming host, and there are multiple sites. You can park next to your site, or opt to be away from your vehicle. He has 2 clean port-a-potties and lots of space. There is also the most wonderful BARN with a ton of activities! It's hard to explain but he's got a bid TV, games, sitting areas....it's extraordinary. We were only there for one quick night but this would be a great place for a weekend [or longer] get away.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay here. ❤️ The barn was beautiful, the land was absolutely mesmerizing, and learning the story behind this place made it even more special. I especially loved seeing the ways David honors his brother, Steven. You can truly feel how much love has been poured into this place.
From the moment we arrived, we were treated with nothing but kindness, hospitality, and grace. My mom has terminal cancer, and this weekend was incredibly important to our family. We wanted a chance to simply be together, enjoy the outdoors, laugh, explore, and make memories—and we were able to do exactly that. David was so kind and caring toward my mom and our entire family, and that is something I will never forget.
This truly felt like a little piece of heaven on earth, and the memories we made here will stay with me forever. I absolutely recommend staying here, and I can’t wait to come back again! ❤️

Wonderful spot away from all the others here, has a firepit and a great view of a huge open grassland, right against pine and other trees. There's a house on the property but I saw no one and it was at least 50 yards away. NOTE: Yes, it's "hidden," ... Just use GPS to get to the campsite, then pass by all the line of spots, to the end of the road, find the house, see a huge open green area, and then drive into and down a bit passing the house, and your site is on the other side of some trees. I have a Prius by the way and it was easy getting in and out.

We really enjoyed our stay. David greeted us as soon as we arrived and then gave the tour. It included an old barn that has been remodeled as an indoor recreation area, if the weather is inclement. The campground is well maintained and quiet. The location couldn’t have been better for access to mountain bike trails and visiting trolls. I would definitely stay there again.

What a great find for me! I am traveling across the country by bicycle and I don’t often find places right on my route. Tumbleweed was right where I needed it. As soon as I met David I felt like we weee friends from long ago. We had some great conversations, although not as long as I would have liked.
I was able to have a restful night in a very quiet location. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to rest my head for a night.

Dave is an amazing host and is very generous. He offered us to use his barn that has lots of games to keep you entertained. His porta potties were clean and so was the drinking water he lets people use. Highly recommend staying here!

We had a wonderful experience at Tumbleweed. David was welcoming and EXTREMELY accommodating. Place is very well maintained and clean. The barn is worth touring. We will stay again if we’re in the area.
