My wife and I had an amazing experience, and the joy began even before we actually “arrived” at Kelley’s farm.
The road to the farm gave us front row seats to a forest of beautiful, luminous orange fall leaves on our left and the deep blue lake on our right. We had to stop the car a few times along the way just to look around and snap some photos.
After a LOT of photos, we made it to Kelley’s farm—which, by the way, has a VERY cool shop at the entrance—and then our campsite! The location was as beautiful as the drive in and elevated by the range of thoughtful amenities Kelley had staged beforehand and also by a visit from their friendly dog!
I could write more, but you get it! 10/10 recommend!

Great Site. Loved that it was just outside the entrance to Cayuna Country Sagamore unit. Our family really enjoyed the site. Plenty of space, nice level area for our camper. Our family was able to enjoy the mountain bike trails and then retreat back to the site for relaxation time. We are already talking about our next trip back. Only downside to the site is the proximity to the highway as you do have constant road noise. Also it seemed like we were in the approach line for the airport. This wasn't so bad as it was fun to watch the planes and they were not going after dark.

Nice secluded spot with easy access to hiking trails. Some reviews mentioned the nearby road - it’s true that it’s close, but we didn’t find it bothersome at all. Traffic was light, and it didn’t interfere with enjoying a peaceful evening.
One small thing I noticed (more of a seasonal observation than a complaint): the oak trees were dropping acorns on the car throughout the stay. It added a little bit of extra nervousness for me, but that’s just part of late summer camping in most parts of Minnesota :( and thankfully, the car came out unscathed
Overall, it was a lovely stay. Thank you to the host if I head to Cuyuna again, I’d be happy to return.

To keep this place on the DL but it was absolutely fabulous. Half a mile to clear lake paddleboarding or some of the best MB trails in the area. Huge space totally fine for 2 campers and power for both. Well water needed a filter but then was delicious. Kellie and Paul were awesome hosts. Very quiet beautiful space.

Thanks for sharing your land Paul! We had a great stay at The Black Loon. The property has a large and mostly flat clearing in the middle surrounded by woods. My son loved riding his bike on the well maintained trail that goes through the woods around the perimeter. There was a ton of perfect firewood right by the large fire pit which was a big perk for us. The only drawback is the road noise as there is a busy road very nearby so if you are sleeping in a tent be prepared to have some road noise to deal with. Wasn't a deal breaker for me and we would love to stay again sometime if the opportunity presented. Paul was very responsive and we would absolutely recommend his hipcamp!

I absolutely loved my stay at the Forest View campsite. It was the perfect peaceful escape from the city — private, cozy, and surrounded by nature. One of the highlights for me was being able to let my dogs roam off-leash and truly enjoy the outdoors. The seclusion made it feel like our own little retreat, and I felt completely relaxed the entire time. We had a great time camping at Dirt Haven! It was so great I almost want to keep it a secret. Having power for our camper was great, plus a stove and a place to store our bikes and equipment. There is plenty of space and having a bit of privacy was wonderful for our trip. It was easy to get to town to find activities and food, and then back to peace and quiet. We have already recommended it to our friends! Our hosts were super helpful and welcoming. This is a 15/10 stay!

Large open space surrounded by tall trees at the end of a cul-de-sac providing a pretty private and secluded site. LOTS OF SPACE. Way more than expected. Ample firewood and rock fire pit. Nice deck chairs and a gazebo with netting is at the site. Nice flat pads for tents. The site is pretty close to the mine pit boat landing which provided a nice relief from the heat over the weekend.
