A shared flush toilet and hot shower is a short 2 minute walk into our residence with our family including a quality mouser (cat) that likes to go outside sometimes. A wagon or sled will be provided to make the 2 minute trek to the tent site. Driving to the site will not be permitted or available, especially when the snow flies. We are 1.5 miles from Fresh Air Aviation, 6.0 miles from Island Air, and 6.4 miles from the Beaver Island Boat Company. Please note: planes do not fly when there is inclement weather and the ferry is only seasonal. Be prepared to make plans in case you are not able to fly over or get stuck on island a few extra days. (Yes, this absolutely does happen!) Make sure to check the ferry schedule as well. This rental does not provide transportation. Car and bike rentals are available on island, but make sure to plan ahead especially in the peak season. Cars are permitted on the ferry with advance notice. Camp #14 at Twelvemile. I made this solo trip to Pictured Rocks in early July of 2015. Upon arrival, biting flies attacked and I was greeted with a downpour. It's easy to see these things as just part of the adventure when your surroundings are this beautiful!

First time using Hipcamp, and definitely not the last, thanks to Cory! Site 1 doesn’t have many photos, but it’s actually way better than we thought. it’s really spacious and the levitating tent was really nice. We also got half a dozen fresh farm eggs which was a nice touch to the experience. I’ll definitely come back to this spot whenever I’m in the UP.

The yurts were SO cute! The lights were gorgeous and the bathrooms were way more than I expected (a full private bathroom!). The space heater kept us VERY cozy. We were far away enough from our neighbors that we didn’t see or hear anyone else at night. Everything here was great and we highly recommend staying here!!

My brother and I enjoyed our stay on Neal’s land. There were other campers on the property but we never interacted with them. Because we got in late, we never met Neal. The land was right next to a road but it was not a busy road. It was a cheap and nicely located site! I would recommend this site to anyone just looking for a safe night’s sleep (with no amenities)

This was our second time back to stay in the tiny cabin. We loved our first trip. We drive downstate often to visit family. Perfect place to stop and enjoy nature with your dog and family. There's some trails to walk around with beautiful fall colors. We will be back. Highly recommend this hidden gem.

Cory was great! Welcoming and accommodating. Tent site was better than the pictures and gave a great deal peace and quiet only nature can offer. Also great location as it’s right near a gas station and breakfast spot! Cory was also very understanding for a slight, self-imposed hiccup which was managed in only a couple messages back and forth. Would definitely stay here again if I end up in the same area again.

Loved being accessible to the beach (so did or dogs)! Very quiet, private and peaceful. We parked at the end of the driveway as the ground was soft and sandy. Absolutely loved the viewing deck above the beach

Amazing location, beautiful property and comfortable sleeping arrangements. Close to most major sight seeing areas and lots of things to do to keep you busy. Hosts were very accommodating and hospitable providing anything extra we might’ve needed plus more. Highly recommend staying here if you’re up in the area and we will definitely be back!

This is a perfect spot to stay on your visit to the Upper Peninsula. It is conveniently located near a grocery store, convenience stores, and restaurants. Unfortunately, the food trucks were not open while we were there. You are a few short steps from the water on White Fish Bay and a sandy beach. We will definitely stay here again.

We really enjoy the Tiki Yurts! Have stayed there two years in a row now, and have recommended it to friends. The only unfortunate thing was that both times staying there both my husband and I went to use their showers and bearly have 2 minutes of warm water. I would recommend planning on not using the showers while there.

This was amazing and magical for our family!! There were two small cots set up for kid beds. I did not see that in pictures. We so appreciated that. Our two kids were excited to see their own little beds. The lights were such a fun ambiance. The bathrooms for the yurt only campers was awesome. Complete with shower! We had been staying at DH day campground in sleeping bear in a tent and no showers. This felt like luxury. Thanks again.
