Has potential, but needs work
The site was very small. Our tent was set up as far back as possible, but was touching the fire pit, so we couldn’t set a fire. There was slippery mud and standing puddles around the picnic tables. The site was also over-run with mosquitoes, so we were constantly dousing ourselves with bug spray. Overall, not a relaxing experience.
The entrance/exit needs work. The ground is torn up with many projects in various stages - multiple vehicles with collision damage, a trailer, a school bus, construction materials, UTV’s, snowplows……it was hard to navigate a path through all the clutter. Beer cans, pop cans, and some trash were scattered around. Trash can was not emptied and ended up overflowing.
Overall just a really rough experience, and I am a seasoned rustic camper. We ended up leaving a day early.
