This campground is easy to park with a convenient bathroom and showers that are fairly clean. Toilets were cleaned both mornings. The last shower stall is large enough to get clothes away from shower area. The shower heads are intelligently placed facing toward the back wall and there was plenty of hot water. The washer and dryer are reasonably priced. We were there late in the season and they were doing some work with chain saws. Perhaps in preparation for the next season. Absolutely no managerial people spoke to us and the office was closed when we arrived. We just went to our reserved site.

Val's place offered a perfect weekend for an easy place for me to crash for the weekend. Even when I failed to read all the directions, she was so gracious via messages. Her yard offers all the glorious sounds of nature to allow for a restful night's sleep.

Highly recommend Lake Lauderdale Campground!
The owner was so kind - he even waited for us when we arrived late to make sure we knew where to park and to answer any questions.
The place is magical, quiet, and absolutely beautiful. Waking up to that view in the morning was such a treat!
Of course, there are full hookups (electricity, water, and dump).
We had an amazing experience here and truly hope to come back in the future!

My family and I (5 adults) enjoyed staying at Joanna's camping site - it was quiet, beautiful, and clean, with a really lovely outdoor shower and some extra touches like string lights and a couple hammocks at our site. Joanna was quick to respond to messages and flexible with some slight, unexpected changes on our end. It was also close to some lovely places to check out like Copake Falls swim area, a little cidery down the road, and not too far from other towns like Stockbridge for other activities.

Mark is such a great host and just a really nice guy. The spot is unbelievable. We had complete privacy on an almost magical piece of property. He set it up so nicely with signs identifying each location. I really can’t say enough good things. It’s our favorite hipcsmp site by far.

We had perfect weather for this weekend of tent camping in Joanna’s meadow. Close to Taconic State Park, Great Barrington, and the Harlem Valley Rail Trail - lots to do around the area. Campsite felt quiet and private even though there were a few other locations on the property.
Couple considerations: you are fairly close to route 22 and the noise from the road carries, but didn’t notice it at all overnight. Our dog picked up quite a few ticks brushing up against the long grass and brush around the meadow - so make sure you do your tick checks after staying!

Mark is a great host and very accommodating, his camp and property are some of the quietest we've ever stayed on with our 16' camper. Each corner of the property is more beautiful than the next. Between the serene pond, swaying maples and a small vineyard, you'll find yourself in no short supply of relaxing scenes. Stop scrolling and book it now! There is no Verizon service at the site but a small walk uphill will get you a bar if need be. Our dogs were on cloud 9 between swimming and frolicing. We will definitely be staying again! A+

This was my second time returning to the Upper Shire Campsites, and I'll definitely be back. I can say enough good things about the sites, the host, and the experience. First, each site feels private and secluded, even when other people are on the land. Second, the well-maintained trails offer plenty to explore. Third, the shower house is a fantastic luxury to have when camping, in addition to the portapotties.
Beyond the great spot, the location itself is well-situated for exploring the Berkshires. Great Barrington is a quick drive, and Hillsdale is fun to explore as well.
I spent a week camping there, and it was great enjoying the land and the host's hospitality.
