All parking is provided on our property - not at our neighbor's house or within the community - including a drive-up option to some of our campsites for you and your guest(s). Outdoor Areas: 9 large campsites for camping, various group games and activities, 2 Full-Size playground areas, 3 hiking trails, 9 fire rings, 4 picnic tables, 6 fire pits, 1 porta potty, and 1 outhouse. On-Site Activities (Upon Request): arts & crafts, mindfulness activities, and nature and science-based workshops. Wow!!! My friends and I all loved this site, we'll definitely be coming back here, might not go to another site again. Easily accessible from DC, and the environment was absolutely perfect. Just as shown. Reviews are correct. Excellent location and private. Only critique would be that it is just off a rural highway, but truthfully there is only about one car every 5 minutes during the day, and then virtually none at night. We would definitely stay here again.

What a great find in Anne Arundel County. This is a beautiful and well maintained property and only 40 minutes from my front door. Site 1 was spacious and had room for two trucks and tents. Communication was great and Randy provided easy to follow directions. We will be back for sure!

The site itself is very private, spacious, and well-maintained — perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors without feeling crowded. Derek, the owner, is always incredibly accommodating and goes above and beyond to make sure guests have everything they need. We plan to keep coming back every year — it’s become one of our favorite getaway spots!

We had a wonderful time at Jill’s property for an overnight trip with our camper. We had the whole place to ourselves and enjoy the peaceful countryside while exploring the pond and beautiful tree covered driveway. Jill’s communication has been the best we’ve experienced this far!!

Great spot for camping and fishing. We had three tents and a tarp and had a ton of room. Caught a couple of perch and bullhead. Easy instructions to get to the place which felt nice and remote. Great sunset views as well. Watch your step around the banks as high water at some point did some serious erosion. The owner has a set up steps to get down to the beach, which were very helpful. Also if you’re planning on having a fire you may want to bring some wood ahead of time. There is a bunch of ash and some oak around the property that the owner was gracious enough offer up to us, but much of it was older and rotted. Some other reviews mentioned the drag strip nearby which you can hear (along with the occasional shotgun blast from hunters), but neither of those things really bothered us. Country store nearby with coffee, beer, liquor ice and gas. About 90 minutes from DC (no traffic). Closer to 2.5 hours if you leave DC at 3pm during the week. Overall a great spot if you’re looking for a quick weekend getaway from the city.

My niece goes camping twice a year and I hijacked this fall trip. I selected Yates’ site because of the quiet and tranquil surrounding and we were not disappointed. Tucker, Yates’ cousin, met us at check-in with the sweetest dog. We found site 3 easily and setup went smoothly. Site 3 is shady and offers views of the Patuxent River and a nice swampy area below. Loved the sounds of birds, fox…night life. I wasn’t expecting all the Daddy Long Legs and various other spiders. Thank God my niece was there to save me, lol. We brought our own wood, but there was kindling/small branches at the site that we also took advantage of. We played it forward and left the same for the next camper. I would definitely stay here again, just not at Site 3. I think Site 1 is open without the abundance of trees and prayerfully less bugs.
