There are no signs for Kezar gorge. Hike towards the sound of the falls. There is a small cave under the falls you can climb up into if you are a strong swimmer. There is a second set of falls if you hike down the river. A most magical spot for sure. Virginia lake is in the White Mountain National forest and is only 6 miles (n a ten minute drive away) Sometimes you have to hike in a bit to get to the beach. Shallow beach is great for children and dogs. Keewayden Lake Dam is a fun place to swim in a local lake. We purchased this land a few years ago when our neighbors decided to sell. It abuts our property They used it as a place for their family to gather and camp on during Maine wonderful summer season. It is a beautiful, quiet spot with a great view and a small pond. Hipcamp lets us share this spot and helps pay our property taxes.We are located in the western mountains of Maine in a summer community on Porter Lake. There is a beautiful view of New Vineyard mountain from our 3 acre field. We have 2 trailer sites with power and water (non potable) and an out house. The field has several fire pits and soft grassy spaces for pitching tents. The camping area is fairly private from our neighbors along the road. The site has a small private pond surrounded by trees you can sit and relax near. You can (walk/bike/drive) the 1/4 mile down the dirt road to the public beach. The beach has a public dock, boat ramp, swim float, picnic tables and grills. Paddle out to the island and try the rope swing with one of our kayaks or canoes. Be sure to check out the bald eagles that live in the white pine tree just a little farther down the island. You will hear the loons during your stay and possibly see a mother with her babies on her back. There are also ducks and ducklings and geese with gosling paddling about the lake. The state stocks the lake with trout, splake, and salmon if you like to fish. There is plenty to do right here!

Our guests are welcome to kayak, canoe, swim, fish, and paddle board from the shores of The Queen’s Property, or one of 5 Right of Ways on Watkins Shores Road owned by our Association. Access to your private waterfront is a short stroll through our woods. LOCAL ATTRACTIONS NEAR CAMP Within 5 minutes of camp, you will find all the essentials, including food items, ice, firewood, goodies, gas, and RV supplies. In fact, you can even order your groceries online for pickup, (free at Hannaford Brothers Grocery and Walmart) either on your way to your campsite or when you need to resupply your camp (we would be happy to give you the details). During your stay, you may also want to take a trip off-site to explore all that the Lakes Region offers. Explore the historic oceanfront City of Portland, or the local Towns of Windham, Naples, or Bridgton. Portland is a 35 minute drive from The Queen's Property. The coastline around Portland is rugged and attractive with world-famous lighthouses dotted along its shorelines. Numerous locally owned shops and nationally recognized restaurants can be found tucked into its many harbors and shorelines. Closer to camp, enjoy strolling through the Town of Naples. Naples sits smack-dab in the middle of the Sebago Lakes Region. Sebago Lake abuts its western border and Long Lake abuts its eastern border. A short 8-minute drive from your site, Naples spoils its visitors with boat rentals, waterfront shops, and awesome restaurants. Further north is the Town of Bridgton. Bridgton is a 20-minute drive from your campsite. It offers its visitors a quaint downtown filled with local retailers, pubs, and restaurants. Sebago Lake is a deep glacial lake, and by itself is 44 square miles of clear waters that abut Sebago Lake State Park. One day my children. 3 large tent sites and two camper sites. Future cabin and seasonal RV sites. A brook runs through the property but dries up after June. There is a small pond with rock stairs. Deer and turkey are frequently seen. Peace and serenity. This property does not offer complete seclusion. You will see other campers if all 3 sites are occupied. There is spacious distance. What this location offers is that it is centrally located to mountains, oceans, lakes,concert venues, restaurants, nightlife, shopping and antiquing. Traveling to NH and Massachusetts is a day trip. A few hours and your in central Maine. Cross the border into Canada. So much to explore or just relax. Stay a few nights or stay the season. 2023 is off to a great camping season. Already meeting new campers. Hopefully I'll see some familiar faces from 2022. A few upgrades. There is an outside water faucet, an outlet and an outside shower...hot and a privacy fence. There is a bathroom/shed that contains a toilet. Goats are coming. Yes goats. Not until fall though. The frog pond population continues to grow. A neighboring town is finding 3 legged frogs in their ponds. Apparently caused by a parasite. Let me know if you find any. 2024 was another great season. New faces that I hope to see again. The summer weather was great for camping. A large Bell Tent and a small portable camper was purchased for those who are seeking more of a glamping experience. WELCOME BACK for 2026... 2025 had some complications unfortunately. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to invite anyone to my property. Consider yourself invited for the 2026 season. Best site I've ever stayed at! Good amount of space between sites but still an easy walk to the kitchen+water, outhouses were clean and convenient with an excellent sense of interior decoration! We stayed at Birch Grove on a particularly cold, rainy, and windy Halloween weekend and Nick already had a large tarp set up over the easiest tent spot.... plus a cow skull and a few candles for the ambiance. Excellent vibes 👌

Incredible site with multiple pitches spread out around the land. We were lucky enough to be put on the beat site...on site 7 (despite booking the field site). What a view and great facilities. Fit pit with grill for cooking whilst watching the stars and white mountains. Camp cooking kitchen and shower near the main house. Fire wood for sale. Compost toilet at each site. The only problem was we wished we could have stayed longer! Look out for the friendly moose and check out the little boat on the pond. Fab site 10/10.

This is one of those rare finds that you don’t want to leave. Our campsite was on a grassy knoll overlooking the river/lake and surrounded by acres of lawn. We could watch the water from our bed. Just beautiful. My husband enjoyed a chat with the owner and got some of the history of the place. Our dog was in doggy heaven.

Kudos to Nick for preserving this beautiful property for generations to enjoy especially in the face of constant development and expansion northward. It truly is a sanctuary. This place was amazing. We were looking for a beautiful space to spend our Mini moon and Kevin’s place did not disappoint. Beautiful views of the river, spacious site, and a very private location. We had our 3 dogs with us who absolutely loved the freedom of being off leash and played in the river most of the day while we sat back and relaxed by the fire. Great hiking and biking trails near by. Amazing food places. We stayed local at the Woodshed for one meal and made our way down to some of the nearby lake towns for others. We will definitely be returning.
